Excellent service and ambience. The staff and chef were incredibly helpful as my companion has a strict medical diet which they were able to accommodate with no fuss. Manicomio is always a great spot.
A stylish lunch spot which manages to be buzzy without becoming deafening. Service was slightly slow, but attentive. Food was well-cooked and delicious; swordfish can be very dry if cooked without attention, but this was juicy. The vitello tomato aioli was delicious, as was the pear and walnut salad. Cost at £43 a head for starter, main, a small glass of rose and a coffee in this location was just about ok in terms of value for money
A lovely venue that unfortunately falls short with its food. Overpriced and bland, disappointing for a restaurant whose service was much better than its food.
Great service and lovely waitress. Food came quickly which is nice
A very pleasant restaurant and location. It was slightly let down, on our visit, by a mistake with the order that led to one meal appearing very late. When it arrived it was underwhelming: nicely cooked duck, but cold, with the skin uncrisped and resting on an insipid puree. Other dishes were fine.
Lovely room, attentive and friendly staff, excellent food. A favorite comes through once again!
Very nice, healthy Italian meal.
We enjoyed it - very pleasant food was nice nothing else to say
We were 95% happy with food, the liver main course was a “chunk” rather than the usual Italian style thin slice.
Appreciate Chef might be trying to be a bit different to the norm but...... not great.
Otherwise first class.
Friendly staff, great food and great service and left feeling full and happy!
On a wet night had the bar table in the window.
Felt buzzy but able to talk sensibly and a delight for party of five.
Good atmosphere. Service very good and food excellent. I can recommend.
Good food, good selection of wine.
The service was very good. They were very helpful with advice on the dishes and the wine. The food was very good and well cooked. The restaurant was busy and it had a good vibe. Overall a very nice meal.
We have been twice now to Manicomio. Excellent service and food. We enjoyed every course and service was attentive but not intrusive. We would recommend you go to the restaurant and the bar next door. We went to the bar first as we were a little early and had a drink.
Excellent service - thoughtful staff.
There was only 1 problem: at arrival we communicated the table was for 2 instead of 3. I know this is not ideal, but the hostess was not nice after receiving the info. She could have accommodated as she did, with a smile.
Also because we could have kept the same table anyway.
Friendly attentive staff, good table by the window - choice of menus to choose from and a wide selection of wines available made for a great evening on a table of six. Though very busy, there was no wait for drinks and food, the restaurant itself has a good ambience and you feel re-assured when you walk in that you will have a good experience.
Very very good food and fair price.
Service was not the best
Delicious food, thoughtful service and a consistently great atmosphere.
IThis is my go to restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Always a warm welcome and very helpful staff...and the food is very good.
Arrived 10 mins early for our 7:45pm sitting. Told to wait at the bar- absolutely fine. A further 25 mins passed before we were seated. Dining room was only half full- why were we kept waiting? Other parties of two arrived after us and were seated yet we were kept waiting. Coats not taken when we finally were seated. Given a draughty table right next to the main door - so bad that my friend had to ask to move her seat. All waitresses were rude and not bothered in engaging in conversation. The food itself was okay- I had the carbonara and my friend had the venison tagliatelle. Finally, the bill was slapped down with no thanks or regards to our dining experience. Won’t be coming here again - totally let down by awful service.
Absolutely beautiful place. Very intimate setting. The food was fresh, well proportioned had great accompaniments of food and drink . Staff were just so attentive and considerate. Felt really welcomed
Picked Mancomio for family birthday dinner. Staff could not have been more charming and service was excellent. Food very good too. Our second visit and we will back soon.
A midweek lunch with friends in this excellent Italian restaurant. A menu that appeals to everyone with a very reasonable prix fixe menu.
Very attentive service against a very relaxed atmosphere
Very nice front of the house staff, very welcoming of me and my daughter. Nice ambiance on a cold Sunday afternoon. Typical Chelsea clientele with a good mix of couples, families and tables of friends.
Adequate selection of wines by the glass but could benefit from more choices on that front. Food very tasty, well garnished and nicely presented.
Let’s start off with a positive - the food was really good. However; I have never experienced such a low level of service. Our waitress (I think she must have been higher up or the host as she was wearing different clothes to the rest) did not smile once, was very abrupt and overall just not hospitable. She told us we had one hour to eat and then had to leave our table for the next reservation?! We weren’t the only ones astonished by her behaviour as the table next to us mentioned it too. There was one girl (blond long hair and quite young) who was lovely and improved the overall service with a smile and genuine interest. The other host was lovely too (a gentleman) and showed actual hospitality skills. Too bad we did not get either of them serving us as they would have left a better impression for sure.
Great ambience shame about the food
Halibut dish we had was expensive and not best cut or cooked well. Pretty good starters
If they improved mains it would get a 8/10 score
They should hire a better chef!
Absolutely fantastic! Fabulous cocktails (Just made it before the end of happy hour). Had the set menu for between 18.00 and 19.00 and did not disappoint. Highly recommend the roast celeriac and wild truffle soup and the bake. Service was impeccable and all credit to the staff having to deal with the fussy diners on the next table - superbly handled.
We arrived on time and our table was not ready but we’re giving a complimentary glass of fizz (after asking for it to be complimentary) soon autres as requested side by side in the buzzing restaurant. Outstanding food great recommendations on the wine (Lugano) by the sommelier. A really supper evening at a reasonable price. Pleased to see a good local presence whilst of course we like the international feel of many Belgravia & Chelsea establishments
Warm welcome supported by excellent staff throughout, interesting menu translating into very good food, happy atmosphere but not too loud.
A favourite restaurant. Delicious lunch and welcoming staff.
Always amazing food cooked expertly from very fresh ingredients. Octopus with aubergines was delicious. Their fish is always great.
We always love going to Manicomio and have now introduced a couple to it who were very impressed with the food and excellent service. They are planning to go again.
Food was tasty but its price can't be justified when no offer is available. Furthermore, Manicomio Chelsea has different offers than Manicomio Bank, also the dinner menu is offered only for 6-7pm. Service was professional and friendly.
You really can't fault the food at Manicomio. It is of a high standard, not wildly adventurous but not unimaginative either. On entering I felt the clientele was a bit corporate, but once I focused on the wine list I never thought about the other guests. It was a nice evening.
Everything was great apart from the wine service; the wine guy (I wouldn’t give him the title “sommelier”) asked my husband to taste the wine (I had ordered it, being a professional wine consultant!), couldn’t pour properly, and finally pretty much argued with me about Sicilian wine! Shame after such good service in other ways.
Up-market Italian. Delicious food, well served. A touch on the pricy side, particularly the wine, but probably worth it
Great lunch will return again soon . Pleasantly surprised how good it was as sometimes tourist areas not always great.
