Wasn’t blown away by the whole dining experience & this was nothing to do with my date ! I know it’s Mayfair & restaurants are expensive but for the money it just doesn’t cut it ! My date is an experienced chef & said the same thing, on the + side service brilliant but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

This was a gift for my husband, 4 course lunch with wines did not disappoint! We had to rush back to our car and babysitter otherwise we would have relished the experience for longer. Everything outstanding!! No doubt we'll return at some point
Good for special occasions. As expected very pricey. While the service was good we found a bit too casual at times.
It was our first time at Marcus. From the staff to the atmosphere it was amazing. The food was unbelievable, we had the 7 course taste of Marcus menu - wow.

Food was good, service took too long. Table wasn’t good. Value for money not brilliant. Would have preferred to be in main dining room or corner booth. Table was large so had to sit forward to hear my wife.
Slick friendly service and excellent food. Scallop starter - one of the best ever! Pork dish quite rich but nonetheless enjoyable. Definite special occasion restaurant but a price worth paying once in a while
We visited on the occasion of our 30th anniversary. We have visited several times before and this time did not disappoint. The food, as always, was amazing, but it is the staff who really are the stars of this restaurant. They seem to have the instinct to know just when something is required, or not quite right. We were made to feel like VIPS, as I am sure everybody else did too! Looking forward to our next visit already.

The staff were great and drinks in the blue bar before were fun, but the food went from ordinary to poor. I have to say for a Michelin star restaurant the food offered was quite forgettable. The staff were kind enough to discount our bill in light of our feedback.
Very relaxed and informal. Service very good. 7 course tasting menu disappointing - a couple of highlights but overall not as good as we had hoped.
We enjoyed an exceptionally good tasting menu of British seasonal produce, imaginatively presented and flawlessly executed. Service was however short of the standard expected at this level, by some distance. Starters and amuse-bouches arrived quite speedily but then, without explanation, there was a 45-minute wait for course three, and then an equally long wait for course four. It was all rather anxiety-inducing, and made us wonder whether there might have been some misfires in the kitchen. We were left to speculate, with neither updates nor explanation, and we felt rather neglected. Worse was to come. I had treated myself to a glass of rather exotic Burgundy, but I ended up being charged for a bottle of the stuff, which made the first draft of the bill properly eye-popping. Even after adjustment, our dinner for two set us back some way north of £350 - plus some tut-tutting from our babysitter when we finally arrived back home an hour later than we'd expected.
Overall, despite the wonderful food, our experience was rather marred by the haphazard service, and we'll not be hurrying back to Marcus.

Great food and atmosphere. We went for some of the signature dishes of Marcus like the Tarte Tatin and all was lovely. Of course expect to pay celeb chef prices!

My latest visit to Marcus was a very pleasurable experience, as always. I went for lunch on the day they reopened after a six-month layoff due to the Covid lockdown. Marcus himself was there keeping an eye on activities but as always the superb staff delivered the goods in every sense. The staff are charming and professional, and everything is conducted in an air of relaxed formality in one of the more traditional interior designs that you’ll find in a fine restaurant in London.
They have spent their time off making a few changes and they made some alterations to the menu. I had the Chef’s Lunch Menu which was good value at £50 for three courses. I went for the scallops starter and then the ‘market fish of the day’ – which was turbot, a beautiful interpretation with borlotti beans. I am a big wine enthusiast and Marcus’s fine list by the glass (ideal if you are having a solo lunch like I was on this visit) is one of the best. The sommelier was relaxed, knowledgeable and conversational. I had some lovely wines matched with my courses, finishing with cheese, he matched with a red Bordeaux – the suggestion of Segla 2009, the second wine of Chateau Segla was superb.
Marcus remains one of my favourite restaurants in Europe, if for no other reasons than the sublime quality of the food, the imagination and the innovation. It’s a pleasure to see the whole kitchen and front of house teams on top of their game, even more so in these tough times. Highly recommended.
Really lovely. Impeccable service (we were even asked by Marcus himself if we were being looked after, was rather starstruck!), pleasantly luxurious setting in the Berkeley, and the food was delicious. We had the 5 course tasting menu with cheese board, the first dish in particular (a burrata with olives and spun sugar) was stunning and very unique. The rest were solid 1 star - excellent food cooked excellently. We went for an anniversary and the staff were extremely kind in helping us mark the occasion. I was pleased to learn also they had a good range of non-alcoholic options including Seedlip. Overally highly recommended for a special dinner.

Enjoyed a great dinner. We ordered scallops and the prawns as starters. Both were delicious dishes. Aziz our waiter highly recommended the lamb (which was halal added bonus) and it did not let us down. Beautifully cooked and presented.
We finished off the evening with the pre ordered custard tart which was simply divine.

We had 8 course menu with wine pairing. Some dishes were excellent, some so-so but it’s a personal preference. Wines were really great, especially white wines and dessert wine. Nice touch with an extra dessert for a birthday occasion.
Service was good, but got a bit sloppy towards the end of dinner, when it got busier. Took a long time to get the bill, staff seemed busy with serving tables and didn’t return the bill for 15 minutes after we asked.
Some staff members spoke with strong local accents and it was difficult to understand food presentations. No female servers...I thought that was strange and hopefully not the restaurant policy.
Outdated decor - more like a ‘80 disco lighting ! Too many interrupting Waiters with bread and water and “how is it” and “my colleague will take your order” - I will let you know if I need something right ! - mini mini minimalistic amount of food - prepare yourself for another meal and we took the 3 courses. Would I go back ? Probably not
