Arrived in London after an overnight flight, anxious to settle in and explore the area and kick off the trip with a memorable dinner. The ratings on this place were very favorable and it was a very reasonable walk so I made a booking and walked on over. As we approached the restaurant we thought it odd that despite the warm night, no one was out and about and the near d we got, the darker it looked inside. Needless to say, it was closed DESPITE accepting my reservation request, DESPITE receiving an email confirmation and DESPITE the website indicating the restaurant was open. Fortunately, we found another exciting Italian restaurant a few blocks away which was terrific, but this was a significant disappointment to us. Don't know who failed us - MareMoto or Open Table.
Great cocktails, food was good and great club atmosphere which kicks off around midnight.
Love the food
We had a table of 6 prior to a local jazz night, we picked the restaurant because of it's location - the food was great with friendly, attentive service.
This was the fourth visit by myself and my friends. There was a warm welcome by the Maitre'D and good service throughout the meal. The food is authentic Italian and worthy of a much higher priced restaurant. Love it.
The food was uninspiring - although the service was good. The menu appeared to be overly-ambitious, with poor attempt at 'fusion' - resulting in potentially sound Italian dishes being 'skewed' to little effect. The atmosphere in the restaurant improved after dark as the décor was a little stark.
Despite the relatively low price, would not return as there are lots of good (authentic!) Italian restaurants in the area
As it was a quiet day during the week the service was brilliant! The food was good and I believe this is a great find if you don't want to travel all the way into central London.
Really tasty Italian cuisine.
Staff are friendly and helpful
The restaurant is not overcrowded
The Affogato is not to be missed!
We met some friends here for dinner. Food and service was good and not expensive. Was busy with diners when we arrived but by the end of the evening lots of young people arrived as it turns into a bit of. Club/cocktail bar in the late evening. Fun place to go but I felt a bit old by the end of the night !
I went to MareMoto for a romantic meal with my husband and Iast Saturday and was disappointment.
The waiter seemed lost and didn't know some of the drinks on the cocktail menu.
The food was very disappointment. My husband order the calamari and prawns which were over cooked and rubbery.
My main meal was bland.
I wouldn't hurry back.
Evening pre football match supper. Despite being very busy, food good quality, service attentive and quick. Been before and consistently rates as a London venue for good italian food and value for money.
Great venue for dining pre/post a game at Chelsea. The food is fairly standard and if anything could be a bit more authentic (cream does not belong in italian Carbonara!). But its super fast and efficient on match days and huge portions! Good value too.
Great asting food at pretty reasonable prices given the area. Restaurant turned into a bar with dancefloor around us as we finished - perfect for our group of 4 ladies looking for a bit of a dance without a heavy intense 'clubbing' vibe
nice food, lovely atmophere, for sure I will go again.
The staff are enchanting and the food is excellent. Nothing seems to be too much bother, not only that but you can dance they night away afterwards at the weekend so group bookings and special occasions are catered for.
Can not comment on the food as I pre booked a table and my guests arrived before me but were subsequently removed from the table due to restaurant being busy and not all seats taken - will not be rebooking in the future
I went with my boyfriend for a special dinner together and from the moment we areived the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our waiter checked on us frequently and we were given all the attention we needed withouth it being over baring. We couldn't find a dessert we liked so one of the managers brought us out some sample desserts to taste as well as an after dinner drink. We had an amazing night and the food was delicious, topped off by the service, it was a wonderful evening and I would definately return!
Nice food. Not many vegetarian options on the menu, but the chef will generally prepare anything you want to suit dietary requirements.
A very nice venue, with very easy parking. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was extremely good, though my main course choice of the skewer was not the best I could have made. Overall it was good value and I would be happy to go back. If you are looking for a fairly priced restaurant in SW6 with good food, you won't do much better than this.
MareMoto is lovely, albeit it seems to be having an identity issue. Upon entry you feel like you're entering a retro/kitsch nightclub complete with DJ booth, light up bar adorned with peanut snacks & fun cocktails on offer. This seems to jar, however, with the offer of fine Italian dining in a romantic, classy setting. The two don't quite combine which made me wonder if this is why it was empty on a Thursday night. It's a shame as it's a nice place with friendly, helpful staff, the food was great, waiters knowledgeable & our table outdoors was lovely. It's good to know there's somewhere in Fulham you can go to late at night & have a dance and a cocktail. Their set Toptable menu was too limited though meaning we had to go a la carte.
We went for a birthday treat and what a treat it was. Every dish was so fresh and beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing. The variation and quality of food and wine is outstanding. The service was faultless all the way throught.
I can't think of any other restaurant in London where I've experienced better service. Will definitely come back
the specials menu was not worth it at all. Portions were tiny! Other diners had mentioned the main menu sizes were bigger, however the food wasn't that great.
Went for a pre-match game meal, great service and value for money!
A fun place to eat if you want a party afterwards. The Italian waiters are all entertaining but towards the end of the evening were harder to grab their attention. Meals a bit overpriced for what they were but good.
The tuna fillet was absolutely stunning and the service we got was very professional and accurate
My friend and I went for dinner here in early December. We had booked well in advance but were seated in the outdoor area even though it was 5 degrees outside! Along with us was a very large party who took up most of the space meaning we were squashed against the wall. The service wasn't bad considering how busy it was though we did get neglected once our meal arrived, and when the bill came the waiter tried to round up several pounds in order to split the cost in half even though service was already included! The other people in the venue were fairly obnoxious though that could be blamed on the time of year. The menu has a wide selection and the food was good, which is the only positive thing I can say about this venue.
I arrived to be told that I didnt have a reservation, depsite having spoken to the restaurant 3 times that day. The mistake was dealt with extremely badly and the staff didnt seem to care, simply shrugging their shoulders. WE eventually found a free table and were 'allowed' to sit there. We were then left to read the menus for an eternity, whilst snacking on the stale bread at the tables. After much deliberation, we moved to a more comfortable location and ordered our food. The food arrived and was just as bad as the service. I had a tuna tartare to start which was bland and chewy, followed by veal and spinach. The spinach was burnt and the veal so tough that I couldnt cut it. To put it simply - I wouldn't have served it to my dog.
Went there on match night. service great but the food was very disappointing.
We ate here with 8 people on a Friday night. Food was very good, lots of variety, good wine as well.
Mare Moto is a cool modern Italian restaurant with all the classic dishes and new dishes you can wish for. Good for group bookings and more intimate evenings out.
The food was brilliant and the wine was fairly priced. We went to the night club afterwards and the in the free cloak room the attendent was a perfect gentleman. My boy friend was given a birthday card which the attendent seloptaped to the coat hanger so I wouldn't forget it. Can't recommend this place highly enough for dinner and a dance.
Such a fun place as it turns into a bar and club afterwards. The food is good value and delicious and the Italian waiters are always fun!
Maremoto was a great experience for my mums birthday. The food choice was excellent, as was the friendly service. I would fully recommend it to anyone, especially those that love authentic Italian food.
Excellent pre-match venue. They know how to get you fed with a good standard of meal and quick service. Good staff. I would go here on non-match days as well because I like the place
Good food/ drinks etc but the waiter needed to smile and be a little less rude (didnt spoil the evening just would have been better had he been less grumpy!)
Food was good but service was not so good. We have been waiting for nearly an hour to be served.
Plus there was a terrible bleach smell coming from the toilet.... they really need to do something about this
MareMoto is tries to be a jack of all trades – restaurant, bar, club – and succeeds at none. Restaurant service is shockingly bad, and food is poor quality (giant portions of re-heated food, nicely presented but terrible taste and often cold). The bar is busy but full of Chelsea-wannabes. The club is average. Very disappointing given its location/ surroundings.
great atmosphere wonderful staff and amazing cocktails
Perfect before a match. Decent food, quick service. Little rowdy maybe but thats understandable.
Great food, atmosphere could be better.
