Margaret Kuo's - Wayne
Steamed Beef Dumplings
Excellent food and service this is a top notch restaurant.
Very nice staff and food was good. (Got shrimp tempura roll and seafood fried rice)
This place was great. The appetizer were great? The drinks were great, the ambiance is great, the only problem was they didn’t have all deserts.
Business lunch with 3 of us. Had a large booth so we weren't crowded. We all had sushi, seaweed salad, edamame and miso soup. The soup was complementary. Their sushi is always so fresh and their seaweed salad is also a cut above. Friendly service, just attentive enough.
Diner with friends was wonderful here at the Wayne restaurant!
Love the dining experience. It was my husband's 60 the birthday celebration. Everything was great. Mr. Warren is always precessional and kind. Thank you.
This restaurant is fabulous. Neighborhood gem. Warren one of the Owners is impeccable, friendly, kind, generous. Food is always outstanding. We appreciate the service, care, quality, ambiance - everything about this restaurant.
Classic delicious Chinese food
Absolutely LOVED IT! The ambiance, service, and food were wonderful.
Our waitress wasn’t warm & inviting. She gave the attitude as if she was rushing us. I wouldn’t go back.
We had a lovely birthday dinner last night! We tried all new choices on the menu as we have been going to other Margaret Kuo restaurants since inception in the 70s. An all time family favorite. Never disappointed.
The service was terrible. After we ordered our entree, we waited 70 minutes to be served. In the interim, our server whisked away my wife’s drink without asking if she wanted another. He never refilled our water - I had to go to the bar twice for refills! My food was under spiced. My wife’s food was over spiced. Both dishes were mediocre. The server never checked on us to see if our meals were satisfactory (and, having waited 70 minutes, we were too hungry not to eat despite our dissatisfaction). Across from us, a couple left without ordering due to the excessive wait. We had once been regular customers here but stopped eating here due to the declining level of service and the indifference to customer dissatisfaction. We decided to give this place one more chance - never again.
Tuna tartare was sub par, ribs great. Bass fair and moo shoo solid.
Overall not worth the $50/person price tag. Not one smile from the server.
Not in a hurry to come back, there are better options just down the street.
First time at this restaurant; I wanted Chinese and my better half wanted sushi. This place fit the bill, nice options for both. Food, presentation and service were very good. Will definitely revisit
Great variety available. Both Chinese dishes and also Japanese and Sushi!
Service was awful. It took us an hour and a half to get our food. I did not care for the meal once it came
Was there for the Chinese New year 7 course meal. At $75 a head it was a bit pricey but ultimately was worth it. It was unusual assortment of foods and flavors which made it all that much enjoyable. I believe it was the owner that came to us several times to explain each course. The experience was phenomenal I wish they had it more often than once a year
Food was delicious and fresh. Staff was very good and attentive!
Our meals were delicious and well prepared. It had been awhile since our last visit and everyone was so welcoming. I had forgotten what a pleasant place it was to eat. We often go to Margaret Kuo’s in Malvern because it is closer...this restaurant was a delight to rediscover and we will return.
Delicious meal and very warm, welcoming staff. We'll return for sure!
Delicious food. We love to come here for the Peking duck. Also had a whole sea bass tonight. Equally delicious. Good wine and cocktail list. Nice selection of saki. Sushi bar upstairs. Have not had the sushi but will try it one day.
First time we had a Bad experience. Service was horrible. Drinks were disappointing. We should have really sent them back. The hostess and server made our drinks...
Was looking forward to a nice Chinese NYE dinner. Will never sit upstairs again.
Did not live up to the hype. The steamed fish, for example, was overcooked and far too blandly seasoned. I can do much better cooking at home. The hot and sour soup, often a good yardstick, was no different from what is widely available at other restaurants. There was also lack of attention detail in several other dishes. My sense is that the quality has declined over the past year or two. Or maybe the chef just had an bad day.
They did not honor our reservation. We waited in line an hour and left
Second Christmas in a row: we arrived with reservations to find the check-in line halfway up the stairs. No movement, so the problem wasn’t slow check-in but rampant overbooking. (Our fellow travelers looked: Open Table was still accepting reservations for the time we arrived.) We were patient for 15 minutes, watching others bail. We eventually did also, and will not be back.
Not sure how the food is because we weren't even able to check in. Maybe it was because of the holiday but they were VERY POORLY prepared for the crowd. People ahead of me in line were waiting 30 minutes after their reservation time just to check in. Unbelievably disorganized place, would not return.
Restaurant was not prepared the number of people who showed up. I waited 30 minutes just to check in. Gentleman handling seating people did not seem to know what he was doing - there was no communication to the people waiting (some with very hungry kids) and it was chaotic overall. Restaurant was still taking Open Table reservations, even though it couldn't deal with people already there...Reservations did not seem to matter as some pushed in front of others who had earlier reservations - as were seated - very frustrating. Appetizer were brought when main meal was almost done and waitress would not take it back or deduct the charge. Food was 'OK'. Overall was a very bad experience...
We attempted to have Christmas Dinner here tonight, but arrived to find a crowd of people and no organization. After waiting for 20 minutes to attempt to check in for our reservation, I couldn’t take the rude patrons pushing in front of me anymore. My family left so we could attempt to salvage our Christmas dinner somewhere else. Never again!
They must have overbooked. It took us 20 minutes to get seated with our reservation. And another 20 minutes for a server to stop at our table. Then I took another 20 minutes to get our drink order. Then they brought us a double drink order. And it took 30 minutes when we were done eating to have them clear our plates and even asked for the check. Then they billed us for something that never came to our table. When we walked out there was a line of 15 couples who also had reservations but had not been seated. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences We have ever had.
We dine at MK’s a lot. The more we dine in, however, the more I’m not loving the restaurant itself. It’s so dirty; there was crud all over the wall next to where I was sitting, visible cobwebs in corners, peeling wallpaper everywhere. It’s so disappointing because that takes away from the experience. The food was great, per the usual, but the decor definitely takes it down a notch. It also makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen!
Margaret Kuo's is as good as ever. This is such an excellent, reliable place. I gave them 4 stars, but I am a pretty tough grader. You really cannot find a move convenient, reasonably-priced high level Chinese restaurant anywhere in the area that is consistently better than Margaret Kuo's and, as always, the service is polite and attentive. This is still a go-to restaurant after all these years.
upscale, professional wait staff. Best wine selection of any Asian restaurant. Could have wider selection of wines by the glass.
The food is excellent and service is good. Tables against the wall are a bit close together.
We had my 93 year old mother with a walker with us.
The staff could not have been more accommodating.
The service was prompt. The food was great. The wine list was superb.
Margareet Kuo's is always wonderful. Warren is a most gracious host. The food is always consistently outstanding. We love that this restaurant is in our neighborhood.
The services was really bad - We had two people try to serve us then at the end they just disappeared and never came back... Someone else gave us a desert menu then no check or anything. Once we finally found someone it was too late to order desert and they took the check but did not know how to handle a Credit card plus cash. Food was execellent though - Service was odd to say the least.
Good for someplace for pickup but I would not go to the actual restaurant again.
We are never disappointed at Margaret Kuo’s restaurants. The Wayne setting is our favorite, particularly upstairs which is pretty and usually serene.
Per the usual, our meal was amazing. Peter, our server, was attentive and really took good care of us. Thank you!
This the only that restaurant that I can say which is a great place in all the respects. For some one who is hard of hearing it is joy to be in. Especially if you sit upstairs. The food is good, the ambiance wonderful and service great. Very hard to find a gem in the midst of all the noise places I have been to. I will be there again the thanksgiving.
Margaret Kuos is always outstanding - above everyone else in their field. Warren/Owner greets you personally when there. A family business with exceptional quality and value. My utmost respect.
