Recently presented with a 2012 award from the Italian Chamber of Commerce for quality, Masaniello is situated moments from the river on Twickenham’s Church Street. Opened in 2009, Masaniello remains one of the town’s most celebrated dining rooms, providing a level of authenticity rarely seen in British Italian restaurants, not only in the food but in the atmosphere; equal parts friendly and family orientated, professional and sleek. The interior is classically styled in dark wood and cream, providing a warm, intimate setting for fine dining as well as lovely AL Fresco terrace. Head Chef Livio and manager Maria Lucia share a passion for the world of restaurants and the food of Italy, especially the Neapolitan region, from which the menu takes much inspiration, balancing rural and seafood ingredients in flavorful and colorful dishes cooked to order using the freshest and best ingredients or, where needed slow cooked in advance to maximize taste.

Masaniello Ratings and Reviews
This was a recommendation from a friend and what a great one it was. Combined belated 50th birthday lunch for my good lady with family prior to attending Big Game 10 at Twickenham. The whole place was relaxed yet buzzing. Staff more than accommodating and friendly. Food, whilst not an extensive menu, freshly cooked and brilliant. Something there for all ages as our party ranged from 11 years old to 50 plus. Definitely going to book again.
Always excellent with fresh, delicious food. Great wine list, not too pricy. Staff always friendly and helpful. It was busy when we went and, without any prompting from us, we were offered a bread basket to keep hunger at bay.
A perfect little local restaurant would highly recommend.
We booked based on previous reviews and had a brilliant evening. We were served by a number of staff all of whom were friendly and very efficient. The food was excellent but special mention for the Baba (I think) a pastry filled with sweet ricotta - a genuine taste of Italy
This is a lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Twickenham on Church Street. I had there my Birthday lunch with my family on the 2nd May. The service was excellent, food was freshly prepared and delicious. My grandchildren, my daughter and I had a truly lovely lunch. I am rosè-wine-lover and I would have preferred to had some choice of Rosè wines ( sadly it was only one type available). Some recommendation : get more variety of rosè wine please. Apart from this the rest was excellent I would visit this lovely restaurant again.
The staff were exceptionally attentive, the menu is great value for top quality choice of food.
The calamari starter was delicious and a generous helping.
I don't usually go for sirloin steak, but this was done to perfection and was as good as a fillet. Loved the green beans with black olive tapenade and pine nuts, and the smokey mash was to die for!
The seafood pasta my friend had was also great.
Affogato was not on the dessert menu but there was no problem when I asked for it.
The rosé wine was perfect with all our dishes, not too sweet and very refreshing.
Fantastic food and service. Highly recommended for small groups, was perfect for 6 of us but also saw larger groups on the same night. The menu offered something for everyone at a very reasonable price. Warm and cosy environment with friendly and welcoming restaurant staff. Will definitely be returning soon!
