Outstanding service, food, atmosphere, lots of character, lots of warmth, tiramisu to die for !!

The first moment you walk into a restaurant is so crucial. I stepped up to the hostess stand while 2 of the female staff were talking to each other, seemingly about a customer. I stood there for a good chunk of time before being acknowledged. Not impressive.
The Maitre D came to show me to my table. He was not particularly nice. The table he offered was not ideal. I would have had my back right up against someone else’s. The place was almost empty, so I asked another employee for another table. He went and got the Maitre D, who had attitude about it and was quite abrupt with me.
The subsequent service and food were good but my experience off the top soured the whole thing. It’s a shame because I’ve been there before and was excited to return.

Beautiful quaint restaurant with particular attention to details and superior service. I felt entirely at home while dining for lunch here. The food was fantastic and beautifully served. They also accommodate Gluten Free diets, which is an absolute necessity in this day and age. The servers were excellent and gave us all of their individualized attention.

At the end of my meal, after the bill had been paid, my server walked up to me, shook my hand, and thanked me profusely. It should be the other way around! My guests used their coat check service and as I stood up to leave the restaurant, the hostess came over to us and requested their tickets so they could have their coats and bags ready by the time we leave out of the front door. Love the small details.

In a highly competitive area for high end dining as well as Italian food establishments, Masseria de Vini stands out above the rest. I highly recommend and will be returning.

Fantastic meal and service except when the waiter chastised our guest for not telling him she was gluten intolerant when actually she did tell him. Otherwise our guests favorite meal from a 4 day trip.

We love this place, and if it wasn't so dear, we'd be regulars.

Masseria dei Vini should be so much better than it is. They clearly have deep pockets and have built a beautiful, calm space with plenty of space between the tables. The wine list is very good, although the knowledge of the list seemed to be spotty among the staff the night we went. Our meals were not very good and the service was quite officious. The pasta was ill-conceived and lacked a balance of flavor. The special (a veal chop) was decent but was served with terribly overcooked vegetables. Overall Masseria needs to review its kitchen and its staffing to be at the level that it has potential to achieve.

Birthday celebration for our son. Simply the best Italian food in NYC.

Wonderful dining and a cozy neighborhood atmosphere

Wonderful dining experience. The service was excellent. The food delicious. And the ambiance spot on. We also enjoyed a post dinner drink at the bar. Amazing evening.

Very good food, a little noisy

We had a lovely lunch with two dear friends. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas and was very attractive with white tablecloths. The service was very attentive. The menu was extensive with several additional specials. The portion sizes were very large. Highly recommended!

The menu is very extensive. I especially liked the triangle pasta and the raviolis with veal and wild mushroom sauce. The tiramisu was the best I have had.

Masseria dei Vini serves delicious, authentic Italian food in a handsome setting. The restaurant itself is understated, the way most serious Italian ristoranti are in Italy. Surroundings are comfortable, the staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and the food very tasty. The wine list is also good, and there are good options for wines by the glass. This is also one of the best restaurants in its neighborhood.

Had a wonderful PRE- OPERA dinner with very excellent service to get us on time to the Met Opera.
The food was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed watching the pizza preparations across from us.
Specialty pizzas are just a small part of this lovely Italian restaurant that has a full sophisticated Itialian menu at fair prices.

Wonderful appetizers and pizzas. Great homemade pastas. Good but not special dinner plates.

I love this place. The menu is very authentic and not typically. Always lots of choices. And delicious.

We went after Met matinee. We were a group of 5 foodie people and all of us loved our dishes. We tried both pizza and home made pasta, everything was delicious. We will go back.

Great location on 8th Ave. Very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. Excellent wine list. Truly outstanding food at very reasonable prices. A superb choice for early dinner then leisurely walk to theater.

I think you guys should put some music during the dinners... the most of the time I was listening another people conversation.

I find this to be B excellent place for business lunches. Table are good sized and not crammed together. The service does not intrude but is prompt. The food is reliably good.

The restaurant is nice with a lovely bar area. I thought the food was good but not great. I had the beef carpaccio for starter and the seafood risotto for my entree. My date had the calamari fritti and a pizza margarita for her entree. She enjoyed them both immensely. The carpaccio was wonderful and my risotto was very good but both plates were okay on the appearance scale. They weren't ugly but for the price, I felt they could have been on a different level, both the way they were plated and the taste. Our server was great but the side staff could've been more genuinely interested in our dining experience.

We had a wonderful pre concert meal at Masseria de Vini. The service was outstanding and attentive. We were able to get to our event in plenty of time without feeling rushed. The restaurant was also able to accommodate a last minute addition to our party with no minimal fuss. The food was all delicious. The pasta dishes were perfectly cooked and the pork chop entree was outstanding. Desserts were excellent especially the cheesecake.

Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
