Maxim Chinese Restaurant
A longstanding local restaurant with great food and service.
Good food, friendly staff,
Did not like the food preparation. Do not order Chicken Chilli sauce really bad ..
It's a lovely place for families. Food is delicious. Service is good. Will definitely go back there.
I love this restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are really on the ball. The service is therefore excellent. Would recommend Maxim Chinese Restaurant to anyone. The food was extraordinarily good.
The food was ok, although not as nice as a previous visit.
The manager is very brusque in his manner, and they were tidying away all the tables around us as we were eating which was very offputting and lead to us feeling rushed.
Having been to this restaurtant many times for celebration meals at the weekend we though it was a safe bet for both service and food but expecting it to be pricer than other local restaurants. We went on a Wednesday night were greeted in a less than friendly manor and shown to an out of the way table with a thread bare table cloth, though we were both dressed in smart casual clothes having come from a lecture we felt they were didn't want two middle aged women in full view (though I think we happen two rather attractive middle aged women). Having been moved to a slightly better table but still at the back of the restaurant were they were noisly preparing tables for the next day around us despite it only been 8:30 pm; when the food came it was a bit hit and miss with some dishes being very good but most less than medico and the servie was verry rushed like they couldn't wait to get rid of us and we paid just short of £100 for the privallage when we would have had better service and better food at just about any of the other local restaurants for half that price. So sadly our big celebration meals there which have always been faboulous and at a weekend will be elsewhere from now on as I believee you should be treated the same whether its a mid-week meal for two or a big weekend bash for a gang.
Delicious refined and relaxing traditional Chinese dining.
As always the food is delicious and the service is good.
Waren hier schon öfters essen und sind immer sehr zufrieden. Die gerichte sind gut zubereitet und immer sehr gut gewürzt. Die frittierten Algen vorab sind ein toller Starter und Knusperspaß.
The restaurant itself is lovely, and was very busy on a Saturday night so you can see it’s very popular with locals. Service was swift and courteous. Unfortunately the food was quite bland, and not what I’m accustomed too with Chinese food. Also the Coca Cola they served was flat. When asked for a replacement drink they obliged but again the Coca Cola served was flat.
One of our favourites Chinese restaurant’s in London.
Had not been for a while but made to feel as welcome as we always were. Great food - the wontons are very good as is the duck with pancakes
Usually excellent we took our friends out for their wedding anniversary and enjoyed the set meal
By far the best Chinese, lucky to have it just round the corner. You have to try the ribs and salt and pepper prawns they’re incredible
Lovely evening for our group birthday celebration. Moved out of area so unable to visit for a while. Went back last week for friend’s birthday. Have really missed this place. Managers Jenny and Danny still there and were so lovely and welcoming. Great food as always. Lovely ambience. Great cosy atmosphere. Friendly service. Love this restaurant and can’t wait to go back. One of Ealing’s true gems.
We frequent Maximes, never disappointed, busy vibrant, great service and tasty fresh food.
Excellent food as always. Service is excellent. The atmosphere is excellent especially for Birthdays and for romantic meal. You want be disappointed as the menu has an excellent choice of food.
Have eaten here a few times and usually it’s ok but on this occasion the food was very disappointing and extremely salty. The service literally consists of someone just putting the plates on the table no interaction from the waiters at all.
A little bug bare of mine is when you order drinks and they pour it from a large bottle or a can but they keep what is remaining in the can for the next person and finally it’s way over priced so would not recommend it and will not be going back !!
The waiters were rude, we had to wait 15 minutes before being acknowledged we were there and then we had no prawn crackers to start with. The food was good but the service was rubbish.
No hot towels were even offered for out sticky fingers! The restaurant was not busy for a Friday evening so they had no excuse for the dreadful service. We were celebrating my birthday with the family and it got ruined!
Won’t be going back there again! Will not be recommending to anyone! Go elsewhere where cheaper, better food and service!!
Great food & service but the decibel levels were rather high. For some reason everyone seemed to want to shout.
My friends and I had a great time! It was the perfect spot to meet, and have a great chat while enjoying a delicious lunch. It was our second time at Maxim and no one had any complaint! Well done to the staff and chef who really made us feel welcome!
Great food and great service.
We've been going to Maxim's for 30 years for family occasions and they never disappoint. The crispy duck is to die for ! Service is always very professional and attentive.
It was average experience, service was week for the price we paid.
Wonderful dinner at Maxim’s. Food and service were brilliant as usual
Simply one of the best Chinese restaurants in London. Delicious food, great staff.
Excellent food as always! A true neighbour- hood gem
Food excellent as always. Waiter service very friendly once you are past the rather abrupt lady at the entrance!
This is truly a neighbourhood gem and attracts people from outside Ealing. We are never disappointed with the food!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Maxim. The food was very tasty and portion sizes were generous. The set menu was great value as we received plenty of food but would have appreciated a more diverse range of dishes to choose from. Also it would have been nice to have more than 1 option for dessert to select from.
Food was very good. High prices but it is London so expected it.
Great food and service as always. No wonder it is always full!
As ever enjoyed a lovely family meal here not the cheapest restaurant but well worth the extra money.
Attentive staff and lovely food.
Can get very busy so advised to book
Very attentive staff and wonderful roast duck, which is served and shredded in front of you at the table with an abundance of extras that they replenish.
Maxim's was excellent as always! Great food, great service, buzzing restaurant.
Lovely place, very professional and courteous.
Staff are polite and very helpful.
The food is second to none.
I recommend it any time.
Great atmosphere for a girl's dinner. Food exceptional as usual.
Maxim restaurant is amazing for ambience and I absolutely love the food. The waiter was a bit clumsy assume he was new, but the floor manager was really nice and professional. I would recommend Maxim to anyone for just regular dinner or special occasions.
