Chesapeake City is found along the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal off of Route 213. This area has a rich history with many of the older buildings converted into museums, bed-and-breakfasts, and restaurants. Most of the local eateries take advantage of the beautiful scenery with outdoor seating that overlooks the canal and features the fresh seafood caught in the nearby waters. Local favorites include black sea bass, sea scallops, white perch, and the Chesapeake Bay steamed crabs. If you are looking for something a little different for lunch or dinner, Chesapeake City has several Italian dining options that include carry-out pizza and wings along with sit-down restaurants serving eggplant, chicken and veal parmigiana, ravioli, and stuffed shells.
