Italian cuisine and pizzeria , with Sardinian influence.
This is my favourite restaurant in London. The menu is always varied, the food is always delicious, and the service is friendly and welcoming. I have loved my visits to Sardinia and this place offers a real taste of the island. Have never had a bad meal here.
Terrific service . Very Italian ..Pizzas fabulously authentic ..very nice Aperol spritzers
Highly recommended .... great service, our second visit and we were made very welcome ...
Sea Bass is amazing !
Authentic Sardinian food with a great Sardinian family working there. Fresh home made pasta that doesn’t let you down.
Excellent quality ingredients, well cooked. Very friendly service. Homemade charcoal bread superb. It's not a fancy looking venue but the food is better than all the other Italian restaurants in the area.
Late notice booking, hadn’t tried them before and saw they had a 5 star hygiene rating compared to somewhere else we were looking at.
We were made to feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived, and we were shown somewhere to sit and browse the menu while they readied a table for us as the family before were just paying.
Liked the look of everything on the menu, with the pizzas looking like particularly exceptional value (there is a lot of competition for pizza in the area!). The restaurant was full of Italians, which is always a good sign, and we had 3 courses each which we don’t normally do. Service was good, and a jug of water arrived without asking, always a nice touch. Every course was really good - home cooked, great flavours, good size. The creme brûlée to finish and the salty rosemary crisp Sardinian bread at the start were particular highlights for me. Highly recommended for cosy dates, family, friends meeting up.
We have eaten verry good!
I have eaten pizza, it was enough!
Service was ok.
Had a really good meal at mediterranea for my husband’s birthday. Great service from the staff, and the food was of a high quality. We will definitely go back again - will try the pizzas next time!
I would recommend Mediterranea to everyone. We booked the day before Valentine’s Day so not to have a crowd. So it wasn’t crowded. And the staff were amazing. Our waiter was attentive, chatty and charming. But not in the way. The food , a veggie and very non veggie, was delicious. The wine we had was also delicious and fresh. We have been here before when it was extremely busy and were impressed with the qualities of the food and service. I know this makes no difference to most, but as a gay woman who has been refused service at restaraunts with my partner, this restarting was so pleasant and relaxing in comparison and we will most definitely return. 5 stars to the staff!!!!! 😄😄
The best authentic pizza you can get, by along shot. Fantastic Italian food. Restaurant owned and run by lovely friendly people. Very good selection of wines.
An excellent meal at a lovely restaurant. Good service and range of food on offer. We both had the specials and did not regret our choices. Would definitely eat here again.
Just the place to catch up with friends you have not seen in a while.
Really nice place, food is excellent. Had the fresh fish starter and main, both were great. Others had Sardinian pasta meals and really enjoyed them. Just a really nice relaxed restaurant that does very high quality food.
Felt very comfortable. Not rushed.
Food was tasty & fresh.
Really good food. Reminds me of home (Sardinia).
Also really nice staff
Although we booked it, the restaurant was shut when we got there and we had to find somewhere else to eat.
I'm sure would have been very nice, but unfortunately restaurant was closed when we arrived, though online booking through open table was confirmed. Previous experiences at Mediterranea have been good.
Lovely restaurant with really good food and drinks. One of the best in Crystal Palace.
Lovely food and wine and good service . I had the vegetarian options which were tasty.
Upon entry, I noticed a bad atmosphere between the management and waiting staff and my pregnant wife noticed a bad smell (though I did not). After a debate amongst themselves, they refused to accept our reservation and sent us away. After what we witnessed, it was a relief of sorts, but still frustrating that we had wasted a money on a cab fare to get there. We will not waste our time with this place again.
Can't fault this restaurant. Absolutely delicious, as always!! Filled with Italians ex-pats so you know it's the real deal!
Nice cozy Italian with very friendly wait staff. Good amatriciana
Simple, authentic, family-run Mediterranean restaurant with an Italian accent. Really helpful and knowledgable service helped us choose an excellent, good value Sardinian wine and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Homemade bread a must. A perfect evening.
This is a great little restaurant - Sardinian...... personal service, friendly, good value for money, and very very tasty. My friend and I weren't rushed, and we were provided with excellent advice from the staff about the food. The wine was excellent too - and perfectly complemented the food.
Been here lots of times and it is always a good experience.
Extremely good Sardinian restaurant. Authentic to the last. Good service and continental feel give this restaurant a real buzz.
Decent restaurant, food, service and price. Mixture of Sardinian and regional dishes. Some products specially imported and not easily available in the UK. Friendly service.
Ecxellent as always, good atmosphere and delicious freshly prepared food.
Lovely meal, took us back to our time in Corsica and delicious wild boar.
The menu is based on Sicilian food and so the pasta dishes are not the usual 'Italian' experience. The food was delicious and freshly made.
Pizza and pancakes were fine though not better than many other restaurants. Pasta was the wrong side of al dente.
Waiter seemed bored after taking our first order and it was difficult to catch his eye even in an empty restaurant.
Everybody and everything seemed tired, I'm not sure that any of the staff wished to be in. Rather sad, definitely not the convivial atmosphere I had hoped for.
We had a very enjoyable Mediterranean meal . The waitress was friendly and charming.
Will def be returning
We had eaten at this restaurant twice before so took friends saying how good it was. We were very disappointed. The restaurant was not busy but a very large party arrived as we sat. All started well but the service deteriorated rapidly. Our order was taken & we waited ages for the starters. The calamari & meatballs were good but the aubergine starter & the mushroom & polenta starters were tasteless. We then had a substantial wait for the main course. All dishes were very disappointing. Our table was cleared & we waited to be offered puddings or coffee ....then we waited & waited. We tried to attract the staff & finally at 10.45 we gave up. At that point one member of staff apologised & said she thought someone else was "looking after" us. We had coffee which was tepid & asked for the bill which was £178 which did include wine. We will not be returning & apologised to the friends we took.
The food was amazing the service was top notch. Excellence value I could by of asked for more. With out doubt I will be going there again.
Lovely food, pleasant service and good value, will definitely be going again!
Try the pizza best I've had for a long time and ver good value
We was a group of 6 sardinian guys and we felt like at home
High quality sardinian food & beverage , very friendly staff and nice location.
Amazing pizza (100% italian style) sardinian pasta and dessert
we'll come back for sure!!
Genuine, kind and happy service. Amazing amazing food !! The wine was certainly 'A grade' along with the Panacotta...Yum! There is passion in every thing these guys do! Recommeded !!
Consistently the best food in the area and there are a lot of competition. In addition to the great regular dishes on the menu, there is always a fantastic special or two on offer based on whatever ingredients are on offer fresh that day. You can go here often and have something new that you've never tasted before and never be disappointed.
We arrived on time and basically got our pick of the tables, which was nice and the menu was broad, so we sent a bit of time getting our wine & food orders in place... by the time our first course arrived, the place was getting busy. My wife wanted to get more sauce but couldn't get the attention of any of the staff, so ended up suffering in silence.
After that, it was pretty smooth sailing. The food was good, the wine was good and it didn't cost the earth.
