Mestizo was fantastic. The food and service were great
Great atmosphere and decor, staff were friendly and was busy for a weeknight. Front door doesn't close properly so there was a constant cold draft. Staff were a bit overwhelmed with the number of patrons so service was a bit slow and had to ask for our drinks multiple times. Food was good but not spectacular - we had the taco sharing platter which I thought was expensive for what came out.
Overall we probably wouldn't go again.
Authentic restaurant with real Mexican food. I'd recommend it.
We had a great time! The margaritas were good the best we’ve ever had and the overall experience of the food was amazing, not to mention the taste which was exquisite. We loved the place and will defo return. The price, is totally justified
Food is not as good as I remembered :( the pozole was cold, the quesadillas & tacos didn't have a lot meat and the service was a bit slow
Used to be very good. My recent experience had a lot to be desired. Not happy at all. Hopefully it'll improve soon.
Great atmosphere and service, best nachos (original), tacos (the tray) and margarita (simple, on the rocks) in London!
It was a lovely lunch, I love the margarita's cocktail.
Great Mexican flavours, with some classic combos as well as new flavour innovations, along with a plentiful selection of cocktails that must be tried. Would definitely come back again.
Authentic Mexican food, great staff and ambiance. So great that they have the shop attached to pick up some Mexican treats to take home. We loved it.
Really nice atmosphere with friendly service. Interesting menu presented well. Will go again
Great variety of food and plenty of choices. All staff very friendly and we were really well looked after all night, thank you!
Great atmosphere and drinks but Vegan food was quite stodgy. Recommend the cactus salad as a welcome taste bud experience but the vegan enchiladas with bland potatoes and vegetables are a tastebud miss not rescued by the sauce. Also they were very attentive, which made me feel like they were trying to turn round tables which was a shame as it was a catch up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while
Great food honestly priced great service despite the restaurant being busy well recommended. They also have a deli next door that was open late.
Tables are too close together
Good experience, didn’t know what to order so we asked what the waitress recommended but she wasn’t that helpful. Great cocktails and amazing nachos
Mole enchiladas were good but food was not warm. Two orders, guacamole and tres leche cake did not arrive to table. We ended up cancelling cake. Staff helpful but seemed overwhelmed.
Buzzy atmosphere, very authentic food, great margaritas
Food was good atmosphere was good as well good choice of different menu choices example - vegan! I'm not a vegan by my gf is veggie so trying to find somewhere with a good choice can be difficult will coming again!
Good selection and portions. Can mix quesadillas anyway you like.
The restaurant is amazing and the food is so delicious! I highly recommend it!
I’ve been here twice before with great food and service but last night was appalling. The server took ages to take our order, got our appetizer wrong and drinks were subpar. The empanadas were bland and our mains were underwhelming. Really disappointing experience and we won’t be back.
Great unexpected food choices
great authentic food and very friendly staff
Food was tasty, expected something a bit more exciting however slightly let down as it was very basic. Service is great however.
An excellent experience, the food and drinks were delicious and I will definitely be coming again!
Delicious authentic Mexican food.
Authentic Mexican food with proper ingredients. Service is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant can get a bit noisy but not a big deal. Drinks are good, too.
Coming from a southwest states standpoint, not the best Mexican food. I’ve never had a chile relleno with potatoes, carrots and peas. Tortilla chips were not corn tortillas and the salsa was so-so. Delicious tres leches though.
I’ve been here many times and the food is always excellent. This is, hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in London. Coming from the US, there is lots of good Mexican food and I miss it in London. When I’m craving good Mexican this is the only place to come! Also I love popping into the grocery store next-door for some at home necessities! Make sure to plan your visit around the grocery store’s opening hours!
The tables are crammed in tight so it's tricky for the servers, but the food, drinks and atmosphere are brilliant! If recommend it to anyone. Also, pop next door to their market to buy ingredients you really like.
Sunday bottomless mexican buffet was amazing - fantastic value for money. Every dish served was of excellent quality. Still thinking about it!
Certently, the best Mexican restaurant in London!
We love authentic Mexican food so when we planned to stay in London for the evening I looked for a nice Mexican restaurant.
The restaurant is not in the nicest part of London to put it mildly but we didn't let that put us off.
When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a young lady that was fairly nice and showed us to our table.
However the older lady waitress we ended up with was outright rude. When we asked any questions about the menu we were shut down.
We had looked at the menu beforehand and were pleased to see a range of choices. With alot of options familiar to us.
However when we arrived we were told a limited menu was available as it was Mole week.
As a vegetarian I am familiar with not having many options available but I was presented with very little choice so ordered the vegetarian mole as the waitress said it was like a flavoursome curry dish. This was a lie. I was presented with a flavourless watery soup like dish. I ended up leaving most of it. We paid, left and got some different food else where.
We would never choose to eat there again and would recommend others against doing so also.
Keep coming back to this place, the food is amazing and the margaritas are delicious. Mole fest is a treat every year!
The food was amazing and the staff so lovely. We had a great night and experience.
Absolutely top level service. To start with, they coped perfectly with the fact that my dining partner's train had been cancelled so we needed to delay our dinner for an hour. No problem at all.
Phenomenal range of cocktails and wide range of food.
Not surprisingly, being a tequila bar, it isn't somewhere to go for a quiet meal. But the energy of the place adds to the experience.
