We have ordered course and shall wait for a long time after ate the appetizer. Overall is good.
Great food and very cosy atmosphere.
We had such a fantastic late lunch for a birthday party. The restaurant could not have been more accommodating or welcoming. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely meal here - the atmosphere was lovely, and food reasonably price but very well cooked, would recommend and definitely return.
Lovely ambience, staff friendly food good and not over priced considering we were in London .
A small and very welcoming restaurant would highly recommend
Friendly informal atmosphere. Ideal for a small get together . Good central location. Varied European menu with Greek/Turkish influences.. good quality food.
Wouldn’t hesitate in returning.
Found a hair in our starters and my steak was very overcooked.
Basic, value Mediterranean, friendly staff, filled a hole ...
we booked last minute and there was a lot of us. It was one of the busiest Christmas nights of the party season.
Generous portions of food. Wine inexpensive. Great place to spend with a lot of friends that don't want to leave with a huge bill.
Friendly staff went out their way to serve
Fantastic food for a great price. Would 100% go again and recommend to a friend. The staff were extremely friendly and there was a great atmosphere.
This restaurant is not fine dining or posh, however if you are looking for somewhere cozy, great value and with great home cooked food this is the place to go. The chicken kebabs were truly delicious and great portions. Great location in Soho, a real find.
Went for a pre-theatre meal. All the food appeared to have been pre-cooked. When the meals arrived - meat kebabs - it was chewy and practically inedible.
We had to ask to order drinks as we were not asked ourselves.
The hygiene was very poor - we saw food being pulled out of old Tupperware boxes - nothing fresh.
I would not recommend anyone to eat here.
Been a Soho favourite for many years, unchanged, friendly, tasty food, very good value set menu.
what a great wee find this restaurnt is. You wont get all posh tables and decorations but the food is amzing and very good prices for anywhere let alone London. All the dishes we had were very well prepared and tastey as, the chilly side dip was so divine we had 2.
Despite booking a table we had to wait 30 minutes outside in the cold because they were busy and didn’t have enough staff that night. Service was generally slow too but food was reasonable.
Great restaurant and staff - barmen makes great cocktails!
Excellent service, amazing lunch set menu, really tasty food!
Good service, decent food.
We’ve been here a few times now and I must say this is definitely our favourite restaurant in London, from the staff who are always very friendly and helpful to the food which is of amazing quality every time we have visited and last night was in a group of six and we all thought it was excellent, would definitely recommend.
Wish we had had a little more time to enjoy being in such a cosy Soho restaurant, sadly we were in a rush. nothing to do with the staff. They didnt rush us but seemed to appreciate we were on a schedule! Starters particularly were great. Lovely hummus with warm pitta bread. Really good value meal for me and my family.
We had to wait for an hour and half to be served our food. By that time we had finished 3/4 of our bottle of wine and were very hungry. When the food finally came, the starters were very small. The tomato and onion salad had more onion than salad and our water and requested olive oil never came. What a shame as a friend had recommended it.
What a fabulous surprise. A quaint restaurant in the heart of Soho. We ate at lunch, there was the a la carte menu also a set menu with lots and lots of choice, plus catered well for Gluten Free. Food was homemade, delicious and very good value. 4 of us, 3 courses, 2 bottles of wine £33 each!!
A must try!
We had an enjoyable evening here, for a pre theatre meal.
Booked the day before for a birthday for a group of 16. Such friendly and helpful staff. Allowed us to occupy whole downstairs room and the waitress put music on for us. Great atmosphere and so much fun especially due to our waitress and the staff. Very central in the middle of soho. Nicely themed mediterranean decorated with low light and lots of candles for party atmosphere.
Little gem in soho, very friendly staff. Cosy traditional style restaurant. Set menu was good value
I went to Mediterranean Cafe to have a quiet dinner with a friend who is returning to her home country for good soon and wanted to have some tasty lamb which she wouldn't be able to get once she returns. The food was very tasty with plenty of fresh veg to help digest the meat. There was a lady sitting next to our table who turned out to be Violet, part-owner of the restaurant who was very kind to us. The only let-down of the evening was that the cheapest bottle of white wine was not chilled when it was served. We were told that it had just been stocked by the waitress, who brought out an ice bucket for us. It helped to cool it down, but not really to what we wanted. So for this reason I give four stars.

What a wonderful find in the Heart of London. Violet is the main attraction and they organised cake and music for my mums birthday without us even having to request - they made us feel so special!
We really enjoy the Med Cafe - friendly, lively, good food and reasonably priced. The owner was there to greet us and chatted to us later - it was fairly quiet on this particular Tuesday evening. My wife loves this kind of simple, lively restaurant and I'm sure we'll return (this was our third visit). Food is simple Med-style (as you'd expect) - we had skewers of lamb and chicken, both of which were tender and tasty, with a zingy chilli sauce on offer. The house wine is inexpensive and very drinkable!
Nice authentic restaurant, laid back atmosphere, good service, great selection of traditional food and great price.
Very disappointed . Food tasteless and overpriced for what you get.
When we arrived, the manager came out and asked if we would mind sitting in their downstairs restaurant in the nextdoor building. He was very solicitous and told us to let him know if we weren't comfortable with it. (He also gave us all a Sambuca at the end of our meal)! However, although we were the only people in that restaurant to start with, that didn't bother us, and it filled up whilst we were there anyway.
The menu is extensive and the set menu is extremely good value, as was the wine that was suggested by our waitress, and all the staff were extremely friendly. We would definitely go back!
Excellent as always been at least six times and still as good
A little gem in Soho. Good value and characterful.
Nice food, friendly and caring staff, reasonable prices.
Lovely food good prices if you stick to the meal deal but be careful the extras quickly add up All in all though really nice food
It was my husbands birthday meal... We were welcomed in & the service continued... The food was great & atmosphere was great too... Would go back again & take friends too...
Wonderful food!
Really disappointing: very high prices for sloppily cooked food. A minute portion of calamari had the texture of a rubber band, while 4 largish prawns in a bland tomato sauce were just ‘meh’. Bread was the bog-standard pitta that you’d buy in a supermarket, and hadn’t even been grilled or toasted. And the various ‘dips’ were sub-supermarket quality.
Maybe we visited on an ‘off’ night but I won’t be returning
We arrived on time and the café had no reservation for us.
