Dumfries and Galloway Restaurants

I dined here only this evening and was desperate to get a review in. Me and my partner both opted for the 8 course degustation menu…and oh my goodness, It was absolutely amazing!! 8 courses (and much more!) of creative, elegant, deliciousness. The restaurant itself holds so much history which adds to the great atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and explained the food presented to you. The value for money on the menu was outstanding and you really do get plenty of food, we are stuffed! We would really recommend 1610, massive hats off to the chefs, thank you for a great evening!

Waited 55 mins although we had pre ordered and only had a main, 2 tables that arrived after us were served before us and the deposit had not been taken off the bill. However food was lovely and excellent value for money.

A lovely welcome to our reserved table for lunch. It was busy but service prompt and staff very attentive and helpful. The wood burning stove was great on a chilly day and we were all pleased to warm up after our walk.

Lovely late lunch on 1st January. As always the service was excellent and the food too……. we were lucky enough to have a window table and the views were amazing!

Celebrate new year
