Port of Leith Distillery

Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Bar contains some of the finest and most exciting new wave whiskies from Scotland and around the world.
With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 200-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery and enlightenment at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.
Much like the whisky the distillery seeks to create, everything else the bar has to offer is inspired by the provenance of the Forth Valley, and Leith’s rich food and drink heritage.
With a seasonally inspired food menu of local and indigenous ingredients, Head Chef Patrick and his team, combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

"The Canny Man's in Morningside is an Edinburgh institution established in 1871 and passed down through 5 generations of the Kerr family. As famous chef Rick Stein said 'The Canny Man's is the best pub in the world.'
The establishment is well known far and wide for it’s quirky nature and ‘never’ changing décor. The interior sees every nook and cranny filled with everything from moose heads to muskets, sheet music to stuffed animals. A genuinely one of a kind bar and restaurant. The restaurant specialises in the best Scottish produce with a strong focus on local suppliers. Alongside this they have a well stocked gantry of over a 200 malt whiskies and a large wine list. The Canny Man's is very much a unique experience in Edinburgh and not to be missed."

Tapa

Great budget-friendly spot

Tapa offers the tastes and flavours of Spanish cuisine to diners in the Leith area of Edinburgh. It is set up in a former warehouse on the cobbled street of 19 Shore Place, just moments from the Water of Leith and 15-20 minutes from the city centre by car, bus or taxi. The tastefully decorated interior brings back memories of Iberia, creating a warm and sociable atmosphere that accentuates the pleasure of eating at Tapa.
The restaurant’s menu consists of innovative and more varied Spanish Plates. Combining the best of what Scotland and Spain has to offer. Mamma Roma Ristorante

Mamma Roma is an authentic Italian restaurant located at 4/7 Antigua Street Edinburgh. Situated very close to the Edinburgh Playhouse, this restaurant is not only great for Pre-Theatre diners but also has a delicious and extensive choice of menus to satisfy all customers. The restaurant can also be found within a 10 minute walk of Princes Street Gardens and a convenient 5 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Mamma Roma’s restaurant is spread over multiple floors. The main dining area is decorated in Tuscan farmhouse style with paintings and medallions embellishing the walls. Special attention is given to the elaborate list of pasta and pizza delicacies and a bowl of gelato or a plate of tiramisu helps to round off a meal on a savory note.

Abbotsford Restaurant

The Abbotsford serves wholesome pub food in one of the busiest parts of Edinburgh’s New Town. Classic pub fare is the mainstay of the menu, with dishes including beer battered haddock and chips, steak and ale pie, and haggis, neeps and tatties, and diners have the choice of dining al fresco, in the main bar, or in the restaurant. **Review: Cold Town House** We were fortunate to snag a booking for the rooftop terrace at Cold Town House on a Saturday, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of Edinburgh Castle that set the perfect backdrop for an evening out. Sharing a cold brew tower with friends was a unique and refreshing experience, and paired with their delicious, freshly made pizzas, it made for an ideal outing. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Cold Town House is definitely a perfect spot to enjoy great food, drinks, and company in a stunning setting. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic meal on Monday 2nd September, it’s our favourite place to eat whilst visiting Edinburgh, our server Mihaela was super lovely, there was a small issue with sauce on my husbands burger and this was rectified right away, will be back on our next visit 😊
