Great ambiance. Great food. Great service. Authentic Italian restaurant right in Brooklyn.
I have been to Michael’s before and I always leave there with a smile on my face. The food is very good and the staff is very pleasant.
We had a wonderful evening
A great Italian restaurant, and the service is impeccable. Every dish was good. The prices are not crazy either. And they know their clientele. If you've been their before they know it ! And one of the guys will even remember the drink you ordered !
Amazing! I gave it a shot and we were so impressed! Love it and I will return again!
Always great service and great food, never fails!!
Found Michael’s after a wake a couple of weeks back and has quickly become our new favorite Italian restaurant. Food and service are amazing. Piano music is a perfect added touch!
Good food and service.
Whenever I visit the city, I try to dine here. Celebrated a bday with family & the staff went out of their way to make it so special. Food was excellent as always.
Michael's of Brooklyn is a great restaurant in the heart of Brooklyn. We have been going there for many years as well as having several events there. Never a problem and everything is first class.
Pappardella bolognese was to sweet and the actual pasta is the size of ravioli the lasagna was soaked with sauce could hardly recognize it was lasagna this place is usually very consistent maybe a bad day
Overall good meal. Nice setting, even though a bit of a blast from the past in terms of decor. The pasta cacio e pepe was just wrong. Tasty, but totally NOT cacio e pepe. Appeared to have been made with mozzarella since it was strangely gooey/stringy like melted mozzarella though the only cheese that should be used is pecorino. Steak was very good as were sides. Server was excellent.
The food was by far the Best I have had in a very long time.
Loved the restaurant and will return very soon.
Without a doubt this restaurant is worth waiting for a table but get a reservation ahead of time - it's worth it. The food is well presented and served to perfection. Enzo is a great associate, attentive and efficient at the same time. This location is great for a date night, celebration or just treating yourself to a well deserved evening out. Enjoy!
My absolute favorite restaurant! I have been coming here for a few years and nothing else compares in the entire borough.
Excellent everything, from the beginning to the end of dinner. On this occasion, we were a party of 4 and dined midweek. Our waiter was Enzo, who I can’t say enough good things about. He is so professional and genuinely a nice person. We have been dining there for years and will continue to do so.
I made the mistake of ordering the Lobster Ravioli special instead of one of their regular items. The pasta was so thick and the filling was so lame. I bit on three shells. I am pretty made at myself for not sending it back. I also felt out of place since it was pretty dressy. We had no idea we are from Florida I wish the reservation had said people tend to dress up for this white table cloth experience and also having a sign when you walk in no Tank Tops and no sport shorts would be more professional to post in the reservation on open table I thought that was tacky. The waiter delivered the food. No fresh Parmesan and I was hungry so started eating. five minutes later he came up and said do you want fresh parm. He went and got it but stopped and chatted with a co-worker for minutes before bringing it to me. Biting on Lobster shells in my too thick not enough lobster ravioli was a huge drag. My name is Julia Fontera if the restaurant wants to contact me.
Working at Downstate Med School for many years new, I have dined at Michael's a few time a year. It has become a place where I would bring old friends and retired colleagues to. In my opinion, this is a restaurant that has excellent food, long tradition and pride. I have eaten all around the world traveling for business meeting and with family, I definitely consider myself know a thing or two about excellent food with its presentation, its qualities and its flavor!
For a recent visit, a former medical student came to visit after more than 20 yrs- an occasion that called for special attention and celebration. I brought him to Michael's. For lunch, we shared a rack of lamb on a bed of fava bean paste and a seafood plater for two people. The latter consisted of mussels, shrimps/pawns, scallops and clams. Both were presented with elegance and abundance. The meat was cooked to med/rare as we ordered, and the seafood was very very delicious too. When made reservation at "OpenTable", I put in the note requesting a dessert to celebrate the reunion. At the end of the meal, we were brought in a plate of a portion of chocolate mousse cake with shaves of dark chocolate, raspberries and cream to accompany our cappuccino. That was one of the best chocolate cake, and a great way to end a happy meeting.
My usual favorites are the eggplant rollatini, gnocchi, and crab avocado salad! Michael's is one of the top restaurants that has both tradition and reputation. It is located in Marine Park- it is another precious gem for those of us who takes pride in Brooklyn.
We had the best service and top notch food. 55 years of excellence and many generations of enjoyment.
consistent great food and service for years.
Michaels is a spot for any occasion they really do a great job!
Good food and service, very noisy and cramped
Michael’s Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn for a casual lunch, or dinner, or for formal dinners or parties. The level of service is always excellent as Michael and Freddy walk around the dining room to make sure your dining experience is memorable. You will always want to go back again and again and again.
We chose Michael's of Brooklyn for dinner for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. As always, we were greeted, served, wined and dined by the staff. Our food matched the occasion, homemade ravioli, chicken cardinale for my boyfriend and surf and turf for myself....dessert came by way of our waiter singing "Happy Anniversary"......a great time was had by the loving couple. PS we even brought home pastries for the family....
Dinner at Micheal’s is the best kept secret in Brooklyn. Truly the freshest home cooked Italian meal in Brooklyn
MY WIFE AND I ARE FREQUENT DINERS AT THIS SPECIAL DINING VENUE. YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE BEGINS WITH A DIFFICULT CHOICE-----WHAT DO YOU SELECT FROM A REASONABLY
PRICED, EXTENSIVE MENU OF REGULAR AND SPECIAL OFFERINGS, OF DIVERSE AND TEMPTING STARTERS AND MAINS? ALL ARE CONSISTENTLY WELL PREPARED AND DELICIOUS.
OUR RECENT PARTY OF FOUR ENJOYED MICHAEL'S SALAD, EGGPLANT ROLLATINA, VEAL CHOP PARM, REGULAR VEAL CHOP, LOBSTER TAILS ARRABIATA (AS REQUESTED), AND SHRIMP SCAMPI.
THE HOSTS AND THEIR STAFF ARE PLEASANT, ACCOMMODATING AND EFFICIENT.
THE SOLE NEGATIVE: MICHAEL'S, AS MOST RESTAURANTS, DOES NOT OFFER A SINGLE, SUGAR FREE OR NO SUGAR ADDED DESSERT. WHY NOT?
The food and service were excellent
Best red clam sauce ever
Great food 😀😀
I've recommended Michael's to my friends and they have all enjoyed the experience.
This is a very high quality dining experience. From the piano bar to their fine italian dishes, steaks and seafood, everything is done right and with a nice touch of class. This is a very special place in the heart of Brooklyn.
As always a spectacular meal with great service. Each course was great on its own
Michael’s has some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! I went there on a recommendation of a friend who ate at Michael’s during his visit to New York and he absolutely raved about you guys. I can see exactly why he did so! Thanks again and I will definitely be returning my next visit
to New York!
Wonderful service wonderful food we travel
all the way from queens for this amazing restaurant so very worth the trip soft shell crabs were awesome as well as the bread basket and pre dinner nibbles
Will be back over and over again for sure
Big portions, tasty food. I’d avoid the rack of lamb tho
As delicious as ever. We had the crab avocado salad, it contains huge portion of crab, and no shell. My entree was prepared off the menu. It was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the dining experience. Plus the wine list was reasonably priced.
The service was attentive, and the owners gracious. A wonderful dining experience.
Too noisy. Server was quick & in a hurry. He appeared “robotic “ not interested & just wanted to go on to next table.
Great food and service. The drinks were very well made.
I have been dining at Michael's for forty years! It's a very special place for my family and we always celebrate birthdays and Christmas at Michaels. The food is usually beyond amazing but this time the fried calamari was a bit disappointing and my penne pasta was under cooked and needed salt. Otherwise the food, cocktails and service were excellent.
Magnificent old-school Italian establishment. Everything was perfect from the table seating all the way through to desert and wonderful cappuccino. This is the 5th time I’ve been to Michael’s with my family, and I will be sure to return many many more times.
Michael's of Brooklyn was recommended to me and I would recommend it anyone looking for a real dining experience. The room and menu are "old school" which added to the experience. The service was top notch. I went for the veal parmigiana and it did not disappoint. The chop was butterflied on the bone, fried and covered with lots of sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese. Next time I'm going to get the tomahawk steak to share with the table.
