Steak is the best, travelled to many places serving steak and very good at it but this was just amazing
Service was good but there were only 3 occupied tables so.... The food was good quality. But $$$$$$. Maybe we just aren’t those type of people but when I spend $300+ for two people I want to feel like it was an experience. I just don’t feel that way. And don’t go here if you like to drink. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
It was a great to dine in Michael’s on Simcoe. Everything we paid is worth it. Highly recommend to couple/family celebrating special occasions.
I wanted a quiet night with my girlfriend and that’s exactly what I got. Top three favourite restaurants in Toronto. Service goes above and beyond.
My husband fined for the first time at Michael’s to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was wonderful from start to finish. I was surprised with a beautiful dessert with a candle. Thank you xo
Excellent food and service. Wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend
I have been here on a few special occasions and each time it has been an excellent experience. The service and food are outstanding. It is not cheap though.
Well taken care of. Stuart took care of my table very well.
Simply outstanding for the quality of the food, attention to detail and goi g the extra mile for their customers. Thank you for our special unannounced birthday attentions. It made our evening very special.
Food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Staff was very attentive
Great Service as usual! And the steaks were incredible!
The food was amazing and the staff were excellent! Probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend going there.
When we visit Toronto again we will certainly go back for seconds.
This was the best meal of my life so far. 10/10 would strongly recommend if you can afford it
Great food and good service. Our server is very knowledgeable about steaks. A bit pricy but the quality of the food is worth it. Overall a very great experience.
10th anniversary trip to Toronto. Went to Michaels on our last evening. They listened to our requests made ahead of time and were very attentive. The music was right up our alley and the food was excellent.
Professional dining at a fair price. Service was outstanding and recommendations were spot on.
A+ service and quality
This was a fine dining experience, with the expected standard of service and food delivered in a friendly and professional manner. This is high priced restaurant, but well worth it
Have eaten here multiple times and have always had a great experience... food and service are outstanding!
Last night in Toronto looking for a steakhouse. What a find! Spectacular!
I had been here before so decided to come back for a special occasion and while I get it was busy even with a reservation we sat at the bar and the service was great but when we were Finally at at a table half an hour later we didn’t get any service for 25 mins. We were starving at that point and really just wanted to leave.
We already booked the table for the evening, but still had to wait 30min to be seated
Beat steak I have ever had. Wonderful ambiance, quiet enough to discuss business and close. Was perfect
Thank You to all the staff at Michael's for making our anniversary a night to remember.
Excellent service and a fantastic dinner. See you soon.
Amazing food, amazing staff and wonderful live background music
Michael’s on Simcoe is a wonderful restaurant! Our waiter, Yan, was terrific and everyone was working to make our experience enjoyable. After we ordered, we received an amuse bouche, a lovely deep fried baby artichoke with tomatoes on a lemon aioli. My husband needs to be gluten free so we declined it. The server asked, “Do you have celiac? If so, we can make this gluten free for you.” Very soon afterward, out came the gluten free version, that looked like the first but was fried with rice flour. It was delicious! My husband had the grilled octopus and the salmon special. I had the char carpaccio special appetizer and the strip loin with bernaise sauce. We shared the zucchini from the sides menu. Everything was outstanding! The only slight negative I would give is that the whiskey and tequila pours were pretty skimpy. We will definitely return when we are in Toronto.
The restaurant was highly rated by friends so took the chance and booked a dinner. The staff started off as very attentive but as the restaurant got busy so did the staff and the service slowed to a crawl. Between appetizers and entrees it was a good 40 minutes (only 2 people ordered apps). Drink orders were forgotten on a number of occasions depending on who took the order. I was expecting a different experience considering the price. As for quality of food, it was good, but nothing where I left the restaurant saying I planned on returning. A three start rating is average and that is what was delivered.
My husband was given incorrect entrée, they charged $9.00 for water and $31.00 for one glass of pinot noir which was 2 oz.
Can’t say enough about the level of service we received from Peter. He was knowledgeable, gracious, and frankly exceptional. The food was outstanding and overall our experience was highly enjoyable. Combining an upcoming special occasion later in the week and a post TIFF meal - I can say Michaels deserves the many glowing reviews posted. Highly recommended.
Michael's on Simcoe was very accommodating for our large party of 20+ people. Sandra, the events coordinator, was particularly helpful when trying to organize this, especially during the rush that is the Toronto International Film Festival. The food was delicious and the ambiance was stylish and modern, but not tacky. We were very happy with out experience and would come here again.
Went for our anniversary and it was amazing. Service was top notch and the kitchen even provided a special desert for us! The meal was pricey but definitely worth it for the quality and level of service, I would definitely recommend Michael’s to anyone looking for dining options for a special occasion
The service was very good, servers were very polite and attentive. The steak tasted like it was soaked in oil and salt. Disappointing.
Great service, ambiance and food. Always a pleasure coming here . Have raised the bar for other steakhouses in Toronto . Great knowing that Carlo is also here now! 😊🙏🏼🍷
Went for our anniversary. First time there and would definitely go back. Food, service and ambience all top rate. Little pricey for some of the items but overall a great experience.
Menu has both traditional and interesting options, which range from reasonable to extravagant. Service is friendly and very refined, and the restaurant is intimate and quietly elegant. The wine list is quite extensive, and the cocktails are crafted with in-house bitters and cordials. We were very impressed with the surf-and-turf, in-house pasta, seafood platter (which the kitchen gladly modified to our taste), and caesar salad, but the chopped salad was something we could have had at a lesser restaurant. A minor quibble for an impressive experience. This restaurant is one of two in Toronto licensed to serve Kobe beef, and the many wagyu options make it a steak-lover’s dream.
We were visiting Toronto for the weekend and tried Michael's. Excellent attentive service. We had the dry aged ribery that was the best stake I've had at any restaurant. The chopped salad was delicious. Good atmosphere, piano music and service.
Everything was wonderful!
Our Somali was extremely helpful, he picked the perfect wine for dinner.
Our waiter was terrific, everyone was polite, and super nice.
And the food was absolutely delicious.
I don’t have anything negative to say.
Truly awesome evening! From champagne options, service, specialty knives , and of course the pasta and meat - fantastic!
I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time. The steaks were great, perfectly cooked, I didn’t like anything else, I ordered a Cesar salad, the lettuce was wilted and there were 3 slices of too crispy bacon, then mushroom stuffed ravioli, it was very bland no spices and needed salt, then the octopus, which is very hard to get wrong, apparently I was wrong, it was tough and the garnishes around tasted old and bland at the same time. Finally dessert, it was not memorable, at $200 per person, I excepted amazing food. I was not amazed. I will not return.
Outstanding steak selection. Waiter very accommodating and quick with good answers to our questions. Other staff stopped by our table to assure our satisfaction and were most willing to chat once they determined our interest in doing so.
