We went for Sunday lunch and we couldn’t fault it at all. We were welcomed very warmly, food was very tasty and the service was brilliant. We will definitely be back.
Very good choices on menu! Good value. Sunday roast was as good as usual! 30% deal made a reasonable cost for 4 adults and two 10 & 11 year olds!
The food and prices are really good the only problem was that it took too long to come and we ended up getting our food free. Cocktails were tasty. Food was so filling we could barely move. If you’re getting a main with multiple types of meat you might not even need a side. Food lacks seasoning but a sprinkle of salt fixes it. Had it with garlic butter which also lacked taste but salt fixed it too. We had chicken wings for starters and they were terrible. They were meant to be spicy but there was no spice and they tasted horrible the sour cream made them worse. It was bad. But the main made up for it
Super staffs...delicious food..great customer service
the food was cold and not very tasty. The restaurant was very quite and not busy. the waiters were good but the food defo let it down. Wouldn't go back.
The restaurant staff were very helpful and pleasant. When we initially ordered an a particular cut of steak, they assured us that they had it in stock. Unfortunately a mistake was made and the staff then realised that what we ordered was actually out of stock. To rectify the situation, not only offered an alternative cut that was of a higher quality and weight, but insisted on charging us for the original price of the that we ordered to remedy the situation. This kind of customer service made our experience very enjoyable and my friend and I were overjoyed at how the situation was handled.
Excellent quality of food, cooked to perfection. Tasted delightful. And great value.
It's been really nice occasion. Attentive
and friendly staff. My steak was amazing, best I ever had but the Rib was disappointing. I think It wasnt fresh by the taste. The bean burger was amazing as well. Will go back for sure but better to skip the ribs.
Overall good, nice platter to start with lots of options. Service a little show to start with but picked up. Steak well below usual standard, should have sent it back really. Tasted strange too, my own fault as did not bring it up. Hopefully just a blip as usually good here.
Very average. Nothing good or nothing bad about the experience. Probably wouldn't rush back though.
food was good, prawn cocktail needed more sauce as quite dry
Went on Valentines day. Had a steak that had been obviously sat on the pass for a while and had dried out. Service was incredibly slow (pushing an hour between starter and main) staff were arguing with each other at the pass when I walked past. Won't be returning and I'm hardly a picky customer!
The food was very good - starters and mains were lovely, the dessert while nice was a slight let down. However the service we received was very poor. We wait 25 minutes before we even got asked to order drinks, at which time we also ordered our food. Our starters then came out before our drinks. Waiter then couldn't be found, so ordered 2nd round of drinks from another waitress which never turned up and then had to order them again once our usual waiter reappeared. Tables were very close together and felt like we were on top of the couples either side of us. Also heard one of the couples next to us complaining about the service. I will say I have been to this restaurant before and previous service has not been this bad.
Took over an hour for our main course to arrive. Our server tried her absolute best to get us our food and ask how long until service but was ignored multiple times by the chefs to the point where she had to pull a manager to go and speak to them. Eventually got our food but the order was rushed and wrong, chips were hard. Rack of ribs were thrown on the plate. Ordered two medium steaks both came out Very rare. Chicken was burnt and tasteless. Ended up leaving After two hours with only starters eaten. Was not charged for any of the food and got what we did eat free. Such a shame as the starters tasted amazing but seems the chefs couldn’t keep up with getting the mains out as we weren’t the only table who waited a long time for our food.
Tables was too close so you couldn't have a conversation without being heard or overhearing others. Noise from the kitchen, the food was not hot as could have been .
I’ve been to Middletons a few times before and always a had a good experience/food.
I was looking forward to the meal all week.
First thing I said when we sat down was ‘this is a cosy table of 8’ our elbows were literally touching the next table. Felt uncomfortable having any sort of conversation as everyone was looking. None of the spot lights above us were turned on, we had to turn the torch on our phones on to read the menu, as did people either side of us. The only section in the restaurant with no lights on. We were told when booking and when we arrived that the table had to be back by 8.30. Starters came out 7.16pm we joked and said we’d be out by 7.45pm if it’s this quick. Wrong! We had to ask for our mains at 8.05pm. The veg in my halloumi and veg skewers was slightly warm and didn’t looked grilled at all. We asked for some more drinks in the long gap as we were getting thirsty and the waitress brought over someone else’s and even read out our correct drinks from the ticket and apologised. When I got my mains of steak and chicken with jacket and greens.. the chicken was half the size I’ve previously had and dry, steak was fine. Greens were cold and crunchy and potato was raw and hadn’t been baked in the oven at all and rushed in the microwave. Waitress was very apologetic and replaced these straight away. Both male and female toilets had a cubicle that needed assistance. Lighting in there was so bad that my husband walked in to another man as they just couldn’t see. When we also got up to leave, we knocked everything off the next table as they were so close, so that was embarrassing picking it all up. We should have asked for money off but just wanted to get out of there. This is the first time we haven’t tipped in a restaurant ever and my husband joked it was that bad he feels like setting up a trip advisor account just to leave a review. What a shame. As it was Valentine’s Day, I feel we’ve all been crammed in and rushed out. We certainly got forgotten.
As it was valentine's day we were only given 90minute slot even though we booked a month in advance. Never really bothered us as we only had one course, which by the time we were served still took 70minutes from ordering to finishing so if we did happen to want 3 courses then no way would of had enough time to eat. Also not allowed to order whole lobster and only half ,and it was only seven o clock. Overall a nice meal but wont rush to go back
Generally very good food (did have a problem with one of the sides but the waiter did resolve it for us).
Excellent meal at Middletons and amazing value with the 30% off food offer. The fish platter was gererous as was the fillet mignon - and beautifully cooked. Cheese plate was good and wine list though small was interesting
Wouldn't recommend on a Sunday we were the only customers in the place. Food was fine although a Salad as a Main course was delivered as the starter salad at the time rest of us had the main course.
