Miku Restaurant - Toronto
We specialize in innovative Aburi Sushi and seafood. Combining traditional Japanese techniques and flavours with fresh, local ingredients, our highly skilled chefs pair each morsel of sushi with a unique house made sauce in order to bring out the rich flavour profile of the fish, and then seal the flavours with a binchotan (oak charcoal)- accompanied flame sear. The result is the secret to Miku's success: sushi with a smoky aroma, umami flavour, and decadent, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
We also offer a variety of seafood entrées, appetizers, as well as seafood platters.
Our menu is best paired with our extensive sake, wine, and cocktail selection.
Food was very good but music was too loud to talk comfortably.
The food was beautifully prepared and overall quite good. I had expected a little better quality in the sushi from the reviews and the scallops themselves were tasty but quite small compared to most places. The drinks were delicious and the deserts were outstanding. A favourite dish was the prime rib.
Liked the food service and location if you're a fish person this is your sweet spot.
Outstanding service and creative dishes. It was certainly an elevated dining experience.
Miku is as always a great experience.
Extremely unpleasant receptionist informing us that being 17 minutes late after getting lost on the PATH our reservation had been cancelled... they could do us the favour to find us a table if we agreed to rush and leave by a certain time. This is not how we do tasting and paring menus, so we left and ate at TOCA with great food and perfect reception. Miku is quite factory like from what we saw and we will never be back or recommend it.
It’s good food, nice service
Amazing sushi. Easily best in Toronto
The Chef's Select had a perfect balance of warm dishes that complement the accompanying sushi which ranged from classic nigiri, aburi oshi, and delightful rolls.
not very valuable place
The anniversary Kaiseki overall was great - the only 2 comments were a) the scallops were overcooked and b) the Waugu rib was expecting some meat but end up having lots of fat which was a bit disappointing
Mentioned to them in the past the seaweed for Ikura sushi should be dry but this still hasn’t improved unfortunately
New to Toronto and was looking for a elevated sushi restaurant.
Miku was everything I was looking for. Service was great and the sushi was amazing.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sushi restaurant for a special occasion or just to impress your friends with.
V good - aburi is awesome
Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Great food and an overall excellent experience.
We go there a lot. It used to be better. Prices have increased and portion size reduced. It was our go-to place but we now try other places more often.
Honestly the service was unreal they explained every dish and were so nice
Wonderful dinner at Miku for our son’s birthday. We had the 5 courses menu and loved everything. The food is so fresh.
Sushi is very good. Took the lunch menu premium. Very high quality. Service was fast, not too intrusive but always available. It is always good to come back to Miku.
Great experience and wonderful food!
Excellent service. Food was outstanding. Overall great experience.
Anyone who complains about this place is a moron. Everything Is fresh dn perfectly executed. Prompt, professional service.
I have known this place from the Vancouver franchise. First time I tried it in Toronto. It was awesome! From Dan’s awesome service, to the Coal Harbour Platter, to the seared salmon roll (their signature roll) (that was by the way the best sushi roll I have ever tasted. Best part was the desert. We took the mochi red velvet mint desert and it was amazing from presentation to taste.
A must in Toronto!
I discovered Miku when visiting Vancouver and I am thrilled their first branch is in Toronto.
The food and service, as well as the cool decor, are all absolute perfection.
Every time I go there - usually for special occasions and to impress out of town visitors - it is better than the last outing.
This time I discovered their patio and it is quiet and a haven in downtown Toronto.
The servers are all extremely knowledgeable about the food they are service and obviously take pride in giving great service.
Miku is different that all the other Japanese restaurants in town and I highly recommend them to everyone!
Amazing food, recommendations, vibes, and amazing company!! We got three sushi’s a beef carpaccio and dessert, it was the perfect afternoon with the perfect amount of food.
Service good as usual. However this time one of the pieces of sushi I ate must have been bad because it gave me an upset stomach :(:(.. the only thing I had this time that I don't usually have was otoro sushi which did taste slightly questionable
Attentive staff, Outstanding food, Great ambience. You can’t go wrong with any menu selection and if you can’t decide the staff is very helpful with suggestions. The Aburi Prime is an excellent choice to explore Miku’s innovative sushi.
Menu was a little limited, but overall the food was very good
Best sushi ever. Very unique tastes. Great place and fantastic waiters. Always a pleasure going here. Going back for sure.
Food and service was excellent. Loved the booth they gave us.
Delicious as expected but costly for what it is. Would come again for special occasions :)
The Aburi sushi is amazing. I would prefer it they would provide some soy sauce with the deluxe sushi platter in case you would like to dip some of the sushi in it.
Wonderful experience. Fresh and delicious foods!
The food was very tasty in terms of flavours and the rice was wonderful. However the portion of fish on the sushi was skimpy and the mussels were tiny. Not what one would expect at the price point.
Service was very good and ambience on patio was lovely.
This was my second visit to Miku and thank goodness I came back. If you go you MUST have the Aburi Kaiseki, please trust me it is worth it. Also ask to be sat in Grace's section. She is by far one of the most thoughtful, truly caring and professional servers I have experienced in all of my dining experiences all over the world.
Both visits I had the Kaiseki, the first time was the Miku Kaiseki back in August and during this visit I had the Aburi Kaiseki. My first visit was not bad however there was nothing truly memorable about the service or the menu.
My second visit however everything was memorable! From the great customer service that Grace (our server) provided to the incredible dishes that were part of the Aburi Kaiseki (especially the first course of seared Foie Gras.
Will definitely be back.
Incredible dinner and service! We went there for my birthday and being from the US we just used open table to find a place to eat. It exceded our expectations!
Unique take on Japanese food. Good experience overall. Options available for people not crazy for sushi.
If I could give this place six stars, I would! Best Sushi in the city!
