Offering quality and freshness with no shortcuts, our team prepares each dish from scratch.

We serve local produce and fresh Florida seafood every day. We also feature a full bar, an award winning wine list and homemade cakes and cheesecakes.

Mildred's is proud to say we serve Gainesville's best food! We are also in the Golden Spoon Hall of Fame for our dedication to great food and service year after year.

This used to be a great place for dinner. This is now the 2nd time that a 3 course pre-fixe took 2 hours and when the entree finally arrived every portion was a different temperature. Flavor of the entrees is great, they just seem to have some real challenges with staffing and the kitchen.

I can’t say enough. My husband and I have been here in Gainesville for 6 months and we come from a very food focused city. We went for his birthday dinner. Mildred’s is easily the best food we have had since moving here! All of the proteins were cooked perfectly, the sauces were fun and delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable but elegant. The staff is amazing and it seems like owner cares for them. I can’t wait to try them for lunch!

I am so sorry to leave a bad review, but this restaurant’s reviews and stars encouraged us to dine here while out of town. The ambience felt like the nursing home my mother lived in….patrons, carpet and tables/chairs. The food was not good, especially for the prices AND I am being VERY kind. I know this is someone’s business, but they have a long way to go.

Our group of seven had dinner at Mildred’s and were essentially underwhelmed. The dinner menu was a push to a three course prix fixe menu for $46 a setting. Appetizers (salads, mezze plate, etc) were just okay, as were the entrees. Good but nothing special. The best part of the meal - by far - were the desserts, an assortment of delicious cakes and cheese cakes. The place was quiet, service was unrushed, and the atmosphere was more your grandma’s dining room than fine dining elegance.
