Miller Tavern - Downtown
Need to book at 19:00?Other great restaurants with availability.
Azure Restaurant @ the Intercontinental Toronto Centre
Food was mediocre. Wife & I had fish & chips, she had a glass of wine, I had a pint, and we shared an order of calamari. Tax & moderate tip had us out just under $100. Value wise I put it at maybe $60.00 all in. Everything was a bit overcooked except the burgers of the tables next to us. Even if cooked to perfection it wasn't worth $100.
Our experience was decent at the Miller Tavern. I was disappointed that their menu is not posted on the website or I might have chosen a different restaurant. Very convenient for Scotiabank arena though. Very short menu and somewhat overpriced. Burger was very good; wings only average. Did not like the salad I ordered - Chop Salad - that did not indicate that it was heavy on radicchio. None of the salads had a protein option. Balance was primarily steaks and raw bar. Service was a little too attentive - I was approached 3 times before my husband even showed up, and more wine was consistently poured in my glass after only having a sip. To access the washrooms, you have to walk through the service area which is awkward and inconvenient, particularly when it's game night and busy.
We arrived a bit early but were seated right away. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they were attentive and even managers were making sure we were happy. The food was exceptional- the tuna tartar was excellant. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the New York strip which were both cooked perfectly- I added the truffle sauce which was delicious and my Wife had the herb butter which she loved. Dessert was a chocolate lava cake which was again delicious.
Overall this was a great experience with extremely friendly and helpful servers/managers.
New owners, new plan, I guess the place needs a little time to adjust. We were going to a Hockey game, and had reservations. Seated promptly. Very friendly hostess. Our server was very friendly. We wanted to share a bottle of wine, and were offered a house special. Robert Hall, Cabernet Sauvignon. Quoted $100.00. My wife's birthday so we splurged. (looked on line, its $34.00 in a liquor store) A nice wine. When the bill came, we were charged $110.00. When we mentioned it, our server asked if the extra $10.00 was a problem. No, but it was the principal. We paid it. Our food was good. Calamari as an appetizer, I had seafood, and the wife, fish and chips. Both were good. After dinner my wife ordered a Spanish coffee. It wasn't even close to a Spanish coffee. They need to work on that, a lot. Not sure if we will return, as it was very expensive for what we got. But maybe that's Toronto.
Amazing service. Great food. Perfect spot for lunch or dinner
While visiting Toronto and too tired to stray to far from our hotel near the Scotiabank Center after sight seeing all day we discovered Miller Tavern and glad we did! From the food and service every thing was excellent. And good value for the money. Overall highly recommend this restaurant!
Wait staff were outstanding. Food was delicious. Wine was on sale. What more can be said?!
Very good service. I gab the halibut and it was prepared perfect. Great waitress.
Excellent as always
Great service and food!
First time to this location for lunch and would go back as the food was very good and was served quickly. Good cocktail, wine and beer selections. The service was a little slow to start, but all came together in the end. Great spot in the South Core.
Visiting Toronto with old college friends and went to a good dinner there. We had salmon, halibut, burger and steak - all good. Wine and dessert very good too. We liked the ambience and the manager was just fabulous and friendly !
Friendly and helpful staff! Went during playoffs so the atmosphere was loud but customers were very mindful and respectful! Staff was very kind and made it a fun environment ! The quality of the food is fairly good , would definitely recommend the shrimp linguine if you want a tad spice and cheesy goodness and their dorito nachos !! Will definitely come back soon!
Kenny was a dynamo. I will come back to see him and eat your delicious food, 100%.
Loved to see your K’wine and dine sign.
Always a winner! Truly an enjoyable experience every time.
Need larger beer selection.
I had the chicken curry which was good however for the price, the amount was pretty small.
My crab cakes were deep fried round balls. I ordered a beet salad which was very disappointing because it turned out to be a spinach salad with a little bit of beets and two Hershey kisses sized goat cheese.
It was a really busy night with the Raptors game on that evening - the food was good but the waiter or the kitchen messed up our order by giving my steak to my guest and their steak to me - we switched them out as we both ordered different side dishes and everything was good. Not worth complaining about on such a busy night. Food was good and came out in good time considering how busy it was - place was packed!
I always have a great experience at the Miller but what was particularly special this time was the amazing service we received from our waitress. The only unfortunate thing is that I didn’t catch her name or I would have noted it here.
We popped into Miller for lunch after our final AERA conference session. Omar took GREAT care of us! Our meal was great, our drinks were great, and we had an all-around pleasant experience. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
Great for sports watching. Food is a bit overpriced for the quality but the drinks are creative and strong!
A very enjoyable meal with great service.
Crab cakes were delicious. Very nice ambiance and so close to Scotiabank Arena.
Salad was wet, soggy and had no taste, Chicken also had no taste, I ordered the chicken souvlaki meal
Thé food was good
Quiet when nothing is going on at the arena
As expected from the name, it's a tavern ambience - but the food is a cut above the typical basics of similar restaurants in the area. A worthy companion to the original by Yonge and York Mills.
We had a great dinner at the Miller Tavern! We arrived at the restaurant before it opened and they let us come in out of the cold early. The drinks were good.... food was good... and the service was good!
We found it a little expensive for what we got. But overall it was a nice night!
the bruschetta was only onions with a few tomatoes. The teryaki salmon was so peppery that i could not finish it
overall disappointing. Very loud tables around us but thats not their fault. location is great
My boyfriend and I as long as another couple went to the miller tavern for dinner before a concert at the scotiabank arena. None of us had every been there before and we all loved it! Our waiter Kenny was one of the best servers we have ever had and made the experience so pleasant! He brought my pregnant best friend a complimentary chocolate cake and ice cream dessert because she said she had been craving brownies and ice cream! He was very attentive and knowledgable and so easy to talk to. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious with sizeable portions. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and will be returning again!
While our server was attentive and professional, the overall service was very slow
The food was very good but it is seriously over priced. A chicken sandwich for $24? Give me a break.
The best part of night was Alana. She was awesome, professional and was definitely in control of the room.
We saw a mouse. Personally that didn’t underscore the greatness of the spinach dip, which to me was really awesome, but everything else was just meh. The fries are obviously frozen and barely worth eating, and that’s really disappointing because in the past I remember decent fries. I used to love their burger, yesterday’s was forgettable. Also the staff seemed a little frazzled even though the restaurant was at best 30% capacity.
I booked a table at this restaurant and upon arrival found it closed. I think they need to update their bookings calendar to avoid this
Great food and service as always! Will visit again very soon. Steak with side ceaser perfect Keto choice!
We were rushed out during dinner as the restaurant was closing early for maintenance.
Was told prior to my visit that they would be closing at 8pm. Then in the middle of dinner, at around 715 I was asked if I would like dessert because they were closing shortly
Was lucky to have Heather as a waitress. What fantastic service!
We stopped by for a quick dinner before seeing a sports game at the ACC. Pleasant evening, and servers. The food was good and quickly delivered, which we appreciated.
Kansas Steak was outstanding! Service was friendly and efficient.
Despite the fact that there were few people there on a Monday a lunch the service was very slow.
Good food and good people
We had the prime rib steak and for the price it did not bring the quality. It was very bland and while understood that it was a fattier cut of meat, it was grisly. The crab cakes were delicious. The ceasar salad could have come from a pre-mix you can find at any local grocery store. The Irish coffee was lovely but should have come wrapped or in a glass with handle as too hot to hold. A portion of our dessert order was forgotten about (but also not billed) and we found we had to remind our server a few times to bring items that were requested - water, cream, wine. Perhaps an off day.
