An amazing fish with great Greek wine and the very one and only Franck and the catering manager. To eat and ear and eat again and again.
The service was slow and the staff needed more training. Friendly, food quality great but service lacking more professionalism.
Amazing food ,the freshest ingredients
Very long wait of more than an hour to have our food - which is ok for dinner, but not for lunch,,,
It was my birthday and I had a lovely evening. Greek salad very good value....where do you get your tomat? Fab x
I always love Milos - Vegas, Athens, New York and now London. Soon - Miami! Someday, Montreal! I always recommend it. London was a little disappointing - haughty hostess, limited fish offerings (no langoustinoes, smallish shrimp on a very busy night and not that late), stingy pours on pre dinner whiskeys. But, the wait staff were engaging and wonderful, the grilled Dorado superb. Maybe you might teach your front seating staff some of the personal charms of the service staff - that would help your reviews (Vegas has the same problem). Loukimades - no complaints there! Milos always wins with me, maybe not so much the London location.
Excellent service and delicious food. The Milos Special and grilled octopus were outstanding.
I went on a recommendation from a friend, that goes there twice weekly.
It's elegant and clean... and utterly forgettable.
I can't remember anything positive about the food there.
It's stuck in 1996 in a world with distinct flavours created by chefs with imagination.(Check Michelin guide)
The presentation of food is like that of a family run restaurant in Greece, not an upscale restaurant with a quality chef. When I pay $100 for a dish - I expect something more than just a cut open grilled fish with capers and lemon.
That aside, their traditional dishes weren't remarkable at all.
I like strong flavors, but not when they exclude other flavours - stuffed courgette/zucchini flowers tasted only of the bitterness of the cheese. I'll stick with the Italian version, where it's a balance of flavours.
I would not return there, even if the food were free - it's just a waste of time.
I visited Milos restaurant on a Saturday evening at 8pm We had booked a table for 4 people. It was a very busy evening, but nothing unexpected for the location and time of the day.
The food was really great as the fish was fresh as well as the starters. However, the portion of the fish was not equally split to all 4 of us ( so we had to do some jiggery pokery not to leave anyone hungry - and it was a big fish; almost 1.9kg for the 4 of us). The Milos special starter supposingly also had aubergines in it, but ours didn't. The octopus was excellent. The greek salad uneccesarilly expensive for what it is. We paid about 90 pounds each with a bottle of wine and coke. Not bad for central London and fresh frish, however consider you can probably pay the same for 1 Michelin star restaurants too and this was not definitely fine dining.
The space is lovely, bit nothing too special - simple but elegant.
The crowd was mixed but ended up being a Mayfair escort type club later at night which was disappointing.
The service though was unacceptable. The place was run with waitressing end up being in a greek taverna. Everyone was rushing around and were extremely unaware of what constitutes polite waitressing. They would pick up unfinished plates and, sometimes, were over the top attentive, almost intrusive. This way, none of us enjoyed the dinner as we had constantly someone over our shoulder uneccessarily fiddling with our meal.
We spoke to the manager, but he was indifferent. Hence, we decided not to visit again. Sadly, most of our friends had a similar experience so decided to avoid visiting too.
I work around the area, which would make it convenient for a nice lunch, but, sadly, I will not want to experience a similar situation during my meal.
Starters - Ceviche, Octopus & salad - were fresh, well prep’ed And came quickly. Main 1 & 2 - 2 x Dorado - were cooked simply as in Greece and retained the freshness and lightness if that species. Main 3 - chops for the non pescatarian! - were nicely done, no “lamby-ness” to the dish. Dessert - walnut cake, yoghurt martini and fresh fruit - were perfect finish. I adore Greek white wines and the Malagousia was perfect for those eating fish. Airy ambience but surprisingly homely in such a large room with the grand coach-sized door. Attentive and knowledgeable service, attentive but nit fawning. If my wife goes there regularly it _must_ be good value for money (bearing in mind the area!). THE place to go if you appreciate fresh fish.
One of the best dinners I’ve ever had
We loved the ambiance, the service, and of course the innovative dishes. We will come back.
Just unbelievable. Fish the freshest ! Great experience. Never rushed even though we have a late reservation. Overall superb !
We went a several times before and had a great experience. But this time the table upstairs were to close to each other,to fit more people in. We had the feeling that we were dining at McDonalds. Very disappointed!
Above average restaurant. Food was good and arrived promptly. White wine was not very cold and kept in an ice bucket away from the table. Poor service meant we had to keep asking for a top up.
We have dined at Milos on a number of occasions but on this visit we had a number of issues with the food .
We were entertaining friends from Canada who ordered surf and turf and the lobster portion was smaller than the langoustines starter we ordered
When we pointed this out it was brushed over as the minimum portion and if we required a larger portion we should have stated that when we ordered albeit this was not mention when we placed our order
I would think about using the restaurant again which is a pity as previous experience has been excellent maybe standards are falling.
Excellent fresh ingredients, delicious flavors.
Last time we were there for pre theatre dinner ,they charged us 15 £for the dessert p.p when it should have been 4£ each . We complained but they said no that's the way it is.so we paid it. This time, I told the waiter and he said that some servers had misunderstood and they would make it up to us. They did, by bringing a large platter of their best!
Waiters could do with a litter training re propriety on how to greet and interact with guests. It is fine dining and not a tavern!
Great food and service !!!! Best Greek food ever :))
The food was very good here; fresh and well prepared. Very good Mediterranean fare.
UNfortunately, we booked under the London Festival menu and the staff and managers knew nothing of the menu and event!! We got the pre-theatre menu instead which was different to the Festival menu. Shame, I was looking forward to some grilled octopus on the Festival menu!
The staff did their best to rectify the situation and was not their fault. Management's fault.
Nice dining ambience I really like this kind of style! The price is very expensive regardless where are these seafood and fishes come from, I do trust the quality. The service was quite attentive when they were not too busy after most of tables booked they were very busy running around and could be delayed the plates and bill.
I think that grilled Dorada fish was good taste and pre theater menu was reasonable price however the wine list when you looked into it very expensive .
Been to Milos in New York 5 times for our anniversary. Came to London for our 25th anniversary and to Milos. Was seated upstairs which sucked. No ambiance at all. Service was slow.Waited too long for our wine. So very disappointed for the price. I don’t mind paying those prices if the atmosphere and service is great. Food was excellent as Milos should be, but that’s all in London.
Amazing quality! But not cheap
The service was appalling. Many waiters ran around. None was dedicated to a particular table. The food was over priced. The main course fish was over cooked. Not as good as NY.
Milos is a high end restaurant and prices match this statement. The service and food are good, but definitely not exceptional. The tables for two are small and my husband and I were seated at a table close to a wall, even though it was early and the whole restaurant was empty. I liked the music, but for a Greek restaurant it's just too plain and lacking atmosphere. I would remember nothing from the evening apart from the surprise birthday desert they served at the end. Wouldn't see much value even if they cut the prices in half.
Food very tasty and appreciate the quality and variety of the vegetables.
Grilled Fish cooked beautifully allowing to enjoy its delicate taste.
Enjoyed the grilled octopus too!
The quality of foods surprised me, fresh fishes . Good cooking in both sashimi and grill fish. Their yogurt was the best, never try this kind of yogurt, very special
Probably one of my favourite restaurants in London. Authentic, tasty Greek food served by Greek waiters and waitresses. It is very pricey, but I’ve never been disappointed with my food or with the service.
Top quality, fresh cuisine served by knowledgeable staff.
First visit and enjoyed it very much. Wine extraordinarily expensive - £31 for a half bottle of Chablis! But service and ambience could not have been more pleasant.
Cold food late service of food waited 30 minutes for main course after finishing the course before
Great food and great service. Just horrible prices. Almost £300 - dinner for 3, no deserts, no alcohol, no drinks ))
I came for birthday celebration. The service and food was excellent! Prices are quite high but it seems in London you can’t provide such a quality without such a prices
The lunch menu 3 courses for £29, amazing value and outstanding quality of food. The presentation and service was next to none. Upon walking in, it feels very businesslike but once seated you find yourself relaxed and taken back by the choice on the menu and display of fresh fish, vegetables and flowers. Shame the wine menu is pricey!
I have chosen to eat at Milos quite a few times for business lunches. The lunch menu is excellent in both value and quality. Great staff, good atmosphere & great location!
sea bass with capers , zuccini tower , and finally balglawa with ice cream on the side was special
Best seafood restaurant in London. Fantastic Service!
Milos is expensive, but truly excellent in food, service and ambience.
Fantastic food and value at Milos. Only small let down was that we had to ask for the bill three times, despite telling them we needed to leave to go to the theatre. That said, we will definitely go back
