Min Jiang Ratings and Reviews
I booked Min Jiang for my wedding anniversary on the recommendation of my brother-in-law. It met all expectations.
We went for the Beijing duck. The pageantry, the preparation, and the presentation were all excellent. The only thing better was the taste.
The rest of the food was amazing. The hot and sour soup being the most umami packed one I've ever had. The black pepper beef rib eye was one of the best bites of food I've had to eat. Slight misstep on the steamed sea bass with ginger and spring onion. It was good, but not as amazing as any of the other dishes. The coconut treacle pudding dessert needs to be ground up and put in a syringe to get it into my taste buds faster.
I look forward to going back and trying more items off the menu.
Consistently the best Chinese food in London. Always hard to get a table but well worth it. If you are ever fortunate enough to eat here and experience the fantastic service beaten only by the food - you will feel truly blessed - and you will be overcome with the view!!
5 star excellence without having to shout its class. Tasty food, great wine list and stupendous service; not to mention the inspiring view!
We had a perfect window table. Despite the restaurant being very busy, we didn't feel crowded or rushed into choosing or eating our meal.
The whole evening was rounded off by a relaxing hour at the bar with beautiful cocktails, prepared by an expert barman.
The whole evening deserved 11/10!
Food of very high authentic Chinese quality, the widescreen view of the London landscape is a great a scene overlooking the gardens. Customer service is of very professional standard. Toilets are very well maintained. This is a restaurant that you will enjoy if you are a fan of Chinese cuisine
Food is well prepared with fresh ingredients and interesting sauces. The steamed vegetable dim sum we had as an appetizer was excellent as was the diced rib eye of beef with black pepper sauce and egg fried rice with edamame that was our main course. The service was excellent as well, and the view over Kensington Gardens all the way to London's Eye was superb. The tab, that included a nice bottle of wine, was slightly pricey at 145GBP but not out of line for the total experience. By the way, we saw many Peking ducks being served, and my hunch is this is a house specialty. Looks like another possibility for an excellent dinner.
Absolutely wonderful Chinese food with perfect service. Possibly the best in London. The duck is amazing and well worth ordering in advance. The house special condiments work really well as a refreshing change. The shanghai dumplings were also amazing although eye wateringly expensive. If you are price sensitive probably best not to come here. Wondrous views over Hyde Park are the cherry on the top.
Still the best and most authentic Peking duck in the Western hemisphere, with splendid views above Kensington Palace and Hyde Park to boot! The serving ritual itself is always an elegant affair, but the real star is the succulent duck and those perfectly sized and steamed "skin" wraps. We really like the selection of teas and wines as well.
