I have been to this place for so many times, topnotch! Highly recommend for any occasions or just causal friends and family meals. Beijing Duck is a must, succulent and tasty, the whole experience just great! Please do not compare and expect it to a dry deep fried crispy duck.
The only downside of this visit was we were sitting next to the group tables therefore it was rather noisy. Otherwise the food and service were fantastic! Will defo go back again.
First time at the restaurant having read some great reviews of this restaurant. Had to give it a try and it certainly didn't disappoint. Having roamed around London for good Chinese food, I have not been truly impressed - Min Jiang is the exception here.
The service was impeccable, from being called a couple of days in advance to ask us whether we wanted to preorder a Beijing Duck (I will talk about that later) to being greeted on the day to the actual service. All of it felt extremely personalized but professional.
The general dishes on the menu we ordered were slightly on the sweet-side but nonetheless extremely tasty.
What stood out (and definitely what impressed me the most) were two of their dishes - The Beijing Duck and the Alaskan Black Cod.
The Beijing Duck was cooked perfectly served in two ways - we were served a little dishes of the crispy skin from the neck, then the evenly cut and balanced proportion of crispy skin with a bit of fat and meat from the rest of the duck . The remainder of the duck meat can then be served with a broth, fried noodles, rice or minced with lettuce wrap. We choose to have it served with noodle.
I must say, each serving provides you with an entirely different experience and certainly the star of the show! I will definitely recommend pre-ordering the duck - even if that's the only thing you are going to eat that night. I think I am salivating whilst thinking this amazing and authentic Beijing Duck. Might I add, it's better than a lot of the Beijing Ducks I have had in Hong Kong and Beijing!
The Alaskan black cod also didn't disappoint - again, well balanced proportion of fat and melt-in-the-mouth meat. Simply divine!
Price wise - it may look slightly pricey just looking at the menu but having tasted the food and the amazing service we received, it was worth every penny paid (and more).
Will definitely be back for the duck again!
Potentially the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Certainly the best dim sum.
Have always dined here ( for 8 years at least )
And it was the first time I had to order in English. One of the Chinese looking waitress claim she can’t speak mandarin , while this may be true. I distantly heard (may be wrongly ) she was actually speaking mandarin to her colleague.
Her service was a bit aloof and sent us a wrong dish (changed without hussle)
My point is some of the Chinese dishes have long name in English. So It was an inconvenience to order in Chinese. In the past the waiters speak great Chinese and made us feel welcoming.
Though I would not say the service I received is unacceptable there is a feeling that it’s going down hill.
The duck was not crispy as before either, price increased from 48 to 58 to 68 for a whole duck.
Ok with the price change, but the quality is not getting better. Actually , I feel it’s on the sloping end as well.
just decent, nothing absolutely fantastic about the duck although the view of Hyde park even on a rainy day was beautiful.
This is my third visit to this restaurant and I always leave happy and relaxed. The staff are attentive and the food is thoughtfully presented and served. A special place in London to enjoy the finer things in life.
Duck always the best ! Not for others dishs
excellent experience! Except forgetting to make reservations for duck!
Lovely food, in particular the soft shell crab and the duck. Very efficient and a little too speedy service for my preference, but that is common with Chinese restaurants here. An enjoyable evening.
This is in my view the best Chinese food you’ll get in London. Really outstanding. And a wonderful view over London to go with it, plus properly trained staff. It’s a bit steep, but worth it.
As usual fantastic food and service .... one of the best chinese in London ... the only slight weak point was the dim sum ... pretty average .... more than counterbalanced by the phantasmagoric duck and other starters
Food was not great. Service was strange and atmosphere horrible. Table and chairs were uneven. Sommelier tried to sell me another wine different than their monthly wine special
Beijing duck 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
very good location and nice food, the best roasted duck in london, will come back again.
Had a very nice experience, Beijing duck was fantastic.
The food was good , the server unfriendly , the cost excessive ( fried rice £8 !!! ) .
Delicious variety of Chinese dishes. The Peking Duck is also really good but do call ahead to booj it as it takes time to prep.
If you like duck the crispy way them don’t have it here as it comes sliced. Other main courses delicious.
A beautiful restaurant with fantastic views, great staff & lovely food.
Wonderful experience; excellent food and service.
The food was fine, but quite average, perhaps I was expecting too much. We enjoyed lunch but I would not recommend to a friend based on my experience.
Second visit for us and still great. The duck is delicious - don’t forget to put a note in the booking if you want it first and can’t wait. And the rest of the dim sum does not disappoint. Service was brilliant and incredibly helpful. The waitress remembered us from 8 months ago.
Delicious dim sum, nice view, good service and reasonably priced. Perfect for Chinese New Year celebration and weekend lunch.
Have been here multiple times (for multiple occasions) and the food and service have always been amazing!
Second time to this restaurant and enjoyed it even more than the first, which I thought would not be possible. The whole experience is fabulous. The duck is unbelievably brilliant and the whole menu is a delight, making it difficult to choose. The ambience became a little noisy when a large group arrived, but otherwise is refined yet informal. The staff were lovely and attentive throughout. Many Chinese diners, which is always a good sign!
Can’t wait to return.
Great food and service and also beautiful view of Hyde Park
Nice view, perfect for friends get together.the duck is really good
Food was great. Service was very good.
Great location and view. Delicious meals and most certainly will visit again
We’ve been day time and evenings. Both great views from above. Beijing Duck is a must have and excellent value comparing with other Chinese restaurants in London. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Great place for your Chinese taste buds.
Used to be my favorite chinese restaurant in London but its sevice disappointed in my recent visit. i wad sitting close to window and rarely being spotted by waiter and waitress. every time when we need refill water or have a request we have to raise our hands several times before getting served. food is also served more slowly than other tables. another thing disappoints is that neighbour table is very noisy as people talk really aloud. no staff reminds them on lowering their voice. Food continues to be fantastic as usual.
Divine food with lovely foods. Duck is superb!!!!
The duck is excellent and the dim sum platter and ribs were delicious
Min Jiang is not only the classic upmarket Chinese restaurant of London but also a fabulous bar. The views of London are amazing and so is the authentic food which never ceases to impress us. My preferred Chinese restaurant in the world.
First time at this restaurant and not disappointed. We had the special duck dish which was very good and served very differently, three ways. It’s a great success. As were all the other dishes from the sea bass, mixed sea food and generally every dish was a notch up from other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to. Service was excellent too, as you would expect from a hotel of this standard. And, as everyone has commented, the views are outstanding. Will definitely go again soon.
We have been customers for many years and have found in the last year we have been rushed through and ordinary delightful dining experience. We pre-order the duck and was severed the duck 30 seconds after we set down and the second course. The total dining experience was less than 45 minutes which is usually close to 2 hours. We feel that we need to find another elegant restaurant to dine.
The peking roast duck was amazing and authentic as usual. Xiaolongbao was nice too, just other dishes were average.
This restaurant is very well known for the food quality and service. Its an expensive table.
We went there for their well known roast duck with pancakes but we had to pre order it...it was sold out.
Starters were served quick but we had to wait too much in between for the main. The rice had a very strong "oven taste", the duck sautéed which was advised to be very good by the waiter was impossible to eat so full of black pepper and chilli (which was not mentioned on the menu by a star- and the waiter obviously did not know it will be spicy) we haven t finish any dishes and nobody came to just apologise as if they did not care
Special views of London matched by special food and service
