Spectacular views. Very attentive, professional service. Peking duck was excellent. Everything else we ordered was very mediocre. Perhaps we ordered incorrectly ........
Weekday lunch with friend. fabulous view by the window. Service was good.
We had half duck with three dim sums and tea. Came to a very reasonable £33 each.
The environment was quiet so we could hear each other. The Xiang long bao was one of the best I had in London. The buns were quite small though.
The food was very average and definitely not worth the price. There are at least half a dozen places in Chinatown that does better dim sum for a third of the price (before taking into account the serving size which is about half here in Min Jiang). The Peking duck was better than the dim sum. However still oily, not crispy enough and nothing like the duck I had in China. But for London, this is probably one of the best I’ve had. At least the duck pancakes were handmade and not paper-like. There was a small happy birthday petite four presented at the end of our meal which was a nice touch. The service was friendly but difficult to get any attention when we needed. The view was the best part especially on a beautiful summer afternoon.
great roast duck!
Excellent meal and requested a table by the window and it was perfecy
Excellent eating experience
High quality food
Appalling service and mediocre food, and a surprise that the crispy duck needs to be ordered in advance. We were served it anyway, but it was certainly not crispy. Over 2.5 hours to be served 8 dim sum and the crispy duck was just irritating, considering the restaurant was not busy
The Min Jiang - in my view the best upmarket Chinese restaurant in Europe - boasts a wonderfully creative menu. The original yet authentic dishes never fail to impress guests and business partners alike. Great and attentive staff, a fantastic cocktail lounge, elegant and refined interiors all make this a very special place, a gem hidden in plain sight. Of course, most patrons would go there only for the fantastic view of the London skyline. After all, the restaurant is on the 10th floor of the Royal Garden Hotel. I will always return because I am addicted to the fantastic food.
The combination of the view, service and ambience make this restaurant a dining experience. The specialty here is the Peking Duck, although we found other dishes as good as the duck.
Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Great service. Very nice ambience.
The customer service is superb, staff are friendly and polite. The view is enormous, definitely a place must-go in London.
Top class Chinese, lovely food, professional service, excellent view - and sky high prices to match. You may think you're being careful, but just wait for your bill
Super services, delicious food, nice atmosphere and fabulous view of the windows, it was an unforgettable birthday dinner. The only off point was that the food portion was a bit small, but probably most high end restaurants are all like that anyway. We could have ordered more dishes.
Was a great experience overall. Pre-order the duck!!! It was amazing!!!
Never disappoint, food was great and service excellent. What more can you ask for.
food always good， just a little bit salty。
Peking Duck is excellent as always. The view is fantastic. This time for some reason the service was much lacking and having to wait for drinks and food was served incoherently. However due to past good experiences there before, will give them a chance.
The food and the view from the restaurant are amazing.
The only comment we have is that the ambient noisy from the volume of people and the account is of the restaurant made it impossible to have a conversation.
Although the service was good we felt that we were being rushed.
All four of us had a fabulous meal. The Beef in Mongolian sauce was a real highlight, and the Dim Sum was amazing too. This must be one of the best Chinese restaurant in London.
Excellent Peking duck, fair price
Food taste good nice environment too
A really special experience. The food was outstanding, especially the Peking duck, carved at the table. The service was wonderful, too. Helpful advice and always on hand if needed.
Perfect food, service and view
Normally nice restaurant!
This time i had a big bone in my soup of the day. And it was the second time we had more drinks on the bill than we had drunk.
Booked lunch for husbands birthday, had lovely food and delicious cocktails with great service. Given table with amazing views of park/London on a hat day. Would definitely recommend dim sum and the duck (pre ordered) ended the meal with surprise birthday plate with ice cream, nice touch from the staff. Will definitely visit again.
Excellent view - possibly the best in London
Every appetizer and each entree were excellently prepared and delicious. The wine list is diverse and includes a broad range of options to accompany different cuisines.
A relaxing Sunday brunch here was exactly what I needed
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in London, for years. But on Saturday night, I found the waiters slow to understand what we wanted to eat, and in what order. The Dim Sum platter was missing all together and the remains of our dining were left on the table long after we finished dining with friends. We brought our friends there because they had never been. A lot of new faces waiting on tables. Something got lost in translation somewhere.
Excellent high end Chinese (with prices to match). Surprisingly good food, and some very good waiters. Outstanding views
An excellent evening. better directions from the entry lobby would not go a miss.
I was really disappointed because I had requested a table by the window when I’ve booked few weeks ago and finally we’ve been seated next to the hallway. When I’ve mentioned it to the waitress she said the 5 empty tables by the windows were booked since weeks (exactly what I did) and refused to move us even if they were free. I was so sorry for my husband, because I’ve told him about the view and I thought it was the perfect spot to celebrate his birthday.
Absolutely love the duck. Crispy skin and juicy meat. The noodles we had was wok fried until fragrant. Marvelous view to Kensington park. Definitely a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.
I have been to this place for so many times, topnotch! Highly recommend for any occasions or just causal friends and family meals. Beijing Duck is a must, succulent and tasty, the whole experience just great! Please do not compare and expect it to a dry deep fried crispy duck.
The only downside of this visit was we were sitting next to the group tables therefore it was rather noisy. Otherwise the food and service were fantastic! Will defo go back again.
This restaurant is well cited on a high floor in the Royal Garden hotel with great views across Kensington Gardens. The Peking duck was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend it. The service was good but not intrusive and the wine good but like all over London overpriced. I would certainly go again for the Peking duck which is as good as you will find anywhere in London.
First time at the restaurant having read some great reviews of this restaurant. Had to give it a try and it certainly didn't disappoint. Having roamed around London for good Chinese food, I have not been truly impressed - Min Jiang is the exception here.
The service was impeccable, from being called a couple of days in advance to ask us whether we wanted to preorder a Beijing Duck (I will talk about that later) to being greeted on the day to the actual service. All of it felt extremely personalized but professional.
The general dishes on the menu we ordered were slightly on the sweet-side but nonetheless extremely tasty.
What stood out (and definitely what impressed me the most) were two of their dishes - The Beijing Duck and the Alaskan Black Cod.
The Beijing Duck was cooked perfectly served in two ways - we were served a little dishes of the crispy skin from the neck, then the evenly cut and balanced proportion of crispy skin with a bit of fat and meat from the rest of the duck . The remainder of the duck meat can then be served with a broth, fried noodles, rice or minced with lettuce wrap. We choose to have it served with noodle.
I must say, each serving provides you with an entirely different experience and certainly the star of the show! I will definitely recommend pre-ordering the duck - even if that's the only thing you are going to eat that night. I think I am salivating whilst thinking this amazing and authentic Beijing Duck. Might I add, it's better than a lot of the Beijing Ducks I have had in Hong Kong and Beijing!
The Alaskan black cod also didn't disappoint - again, well balanced proportion of fat and melt-in-the-mouth meat. Simply divine!
Price wise - it may look slightly pricey just looking at the menu but having tasted the food and the amazing service we received, it was worth every penny paid (and more).
Will definitely be back for the duck again!
Potentially the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Certainly the best dim sum.
Have always dined here ( for 8 years at least )
And it was the first time I had to order in English. One of the Chinese looking waitress claim she can’t speak mandarin , while this may be true. I distantly heard (may be wrongly ) she was actually speaking mandarin to her colleague.
Her service was a bit aloof and sent us a wrong dish (changed without hussle)
My point is some of the Chinese dishes have long name in English. So It was an inconvenience to order in Chinese. In the past the waiters speak great Chinese and made us feel welcoming.
Though I would not say the service I received is unacceptable there is a feeling that it’s going down hill.
The duck was not crispy as before either, price increased from 48 to 58 to 68 for a whole duck.
Ok with the price change, but the quality is not getting better. Actually , I feel it’s on the sloping end as well.
just decent, nothing absolutely fantastic about the duck although the view of Hyde park even on a rainy day was beautiful.
This is my third visit to this restaurant and I always leave happy and relaxed. The staff are attentive and the food is thoughtfully presented and served. A special place in London to enjoy the finer things in life.
