Another outstanding Lunar New Year family lunch at Min Jiang in London.
The beautiful open view east over the parks and the London skyline from the 10th floor is magnificent, and never fails to please. The attentive service, relaxed luxury and delicious food are a great start to the new year. Thank you again to my favourite London restaurant!

I have a dinner with my friends on Lunar New Year, and it cost us over £400, but the food is very disappointing and it is even worse than food in China town, though the service is good.

Food was very tasty although we found the menu slightly limited. Service was quick and professional although not very friendly. The view was good but we felt the restaurant tables were a little too close together and the noise was a bit too much for me. Overall we felt the meal was slightly overpriced.

The atmosphere, service, and food were all superb. The Peking Duck is the best I have ever had. Great place and exceeded my expectations (which were high). Would love to come back again and tell others how great it was.

I have been to Min Jiang several times in the past and unfortunately sitting through our meal having pre ordered the duck, I was presented the duck which was very fatty which to my distaste didn’t impress me, the seafood noodle with chicken and oyster sauce was also presented very over plated looked a mess and overall I was disappointed I would of been more happy with the lettuce wraps as a full main rather than the duck pancakes. If your looking for Peking duck I would always now go back to my go too which is China Tang in the Dorchester hotel there duck is far more superior and the atmosphere is much more what you pay for there.

Food impeccable as always and layout and atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. Not for the first time however have we noticed a disappointing service. We had to wait long enough for our pancakes for the Peking duck to have become Luke-warm. Perhaps because it was early before prime time but it looked as if too few staff were around or there was a lack of coordination.

Food is really authentic and special this time however a small issue with the beans and mince chicken , which tasted off and rancid.the plate was immediately taken of the bill. Well done Min Jang for that quick reaction.
We commend also Lee Wong as an outstanding waitress and long time employee with the restaurant, she makes us feel welcome every time.

We have been to Min Jiang many times before. It have in the past always provided good food and service. This time I felt the food wasn't as good as it had been on our previous visit, still good, but not the high quality food I have been used to at Min Jiang. Most disappointing was the mango pomelo and sago dessert, it tasted like something oily/fatty had been added that shouldn't be in it. I hope this was just a one off bad day in the kitchen, and that the food will be back to normal standard when I return.

Thoroughly disappointing experience!!

I have been to Ming Jiang often as a couple and always enjoy the duck. This occasion I went with my 1yr old son and albeit kids can be a little noisy and messier. However, I did not expect to receive constant evil looks from the service staff and zero service from them. Even when I complained to the waiter serving my table about another service staff I received no apology or action. If they don’t welcome children, they should specify a no child policy or train their staff better!

I expected to try Minjiang for long time. With my friend, we went there and somehow the waiters were not all friendly. It feels like a fast food restaurant. The food we ordered were served very fast. The duck was a bit cold in a way. But the Min Jiang Mapo tofu was very good. It was our first time there and we were surprised it was quite noisy and felt rushy. I don’t know whether we will go there again.

when we were there,it’s too noisy. Children’s crying and noise from others.
It could be said less service in this restaurant. No one tell us there is a cloakroom could keep our coats. And when we need waitress, always cannot find them or ignor us that make us waiting for a long time. They looks no smiling, felt not have nice attitude.

The duck was good as always but we the Siu Long Bao and the tofu with prawn and crab meat that we ordered both contain some crab shells unexpected. Also we wanted to pack away the leftover but the waiters claim that they don’t do take away and don’t have containers. Very disappointed.

Many times there for different reasons. Always happy. Great view of the park for lunch, and night view of the city at night. Peking duck is the best I’ve found in London in more than 3 years. Good value for money if you consider the food quality and location.

It’s our Christmas Eve, we just want a place near home to eat out so we chose Min Jiang. We were served by a Asian ( oriental) lady who is acting more like a strict nanny than a server. I have a guest with us so I do not want to make a fuss. She was rushing us through the ordering. And my 12 year old was ordering so items not from menu that we always eat at other Chinese restaurant. It was obviously off the menu, she seems to be not pleased at all.
She spoke fast with her Brit accent, behaving very posh with no sense of warmth. Luckily there was another younger European waiter , who is much friendly and even tried to greet us in Chinese. I think she was happy he took over second half of the meal. We were happier too. So much for a nice Christmas Eve lunch. Never will I return to Min Jiang again.

I cannot stress enough how good the food was; ordered the whole duck between four and it was the best I've eaten, no exceptions. However continuous questions on whether we'd be ordering when we hadn't started yet, fairly impolite staff and uncomfortable silences when you asked a question on the menu mean I'm not sure if I would return. As an example, one of our group wanted tea instead of desert and asked what the infusion was which the server simply ignored and instead said impatiently "shall I come back?". Desert was also a bit of a miss for me - pretty but not great at all.

Also, as an aside, I see a lot of comments about the view; the view was nice but it was not the best so I wouldn't suggest here if you were looking to go for this reason

It is a real treat to come to Min Jiang but when you do it is worth it. Amazing cocktail list to enjoy at the bar before dinner. The duck is fabulous even though we hadnt pre-ordered and great choice across both meat and vegetarian options. Extensive wine list as well to match. Service is on point and makes the whole experience excellent.

I booked dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday. I called prior to order the roast duck as the restaurants recommends for the duck to be ordered in advance as it requires 45 minutes preparation time. The duck was very satisfying - I loved how they divided it into two servings so we were able to enjoy it in more than one way. It was crispy and with just the right amount of fat under the skin.

We ordered the dimsum platter and the Xiao Long Bao with swimming crab meat for appetisers - unfortunately, these were rather disappointing. I don't think they were worth the price. The dimsums in the platter were rather bland. The Xiao Long Baos were not as juicy as I hoped - I think one would be better off at the newly opened Din Tai Fung if you wanted quality Xiao Long Bao for a similar price.

The night-time view was breath-taking - they were able to meet my request for a window seat and we could see the view facing the park. Would definitely recommend requesting for a window seat (although this is subjected to availability, I recommend booking for an earlier time to guarantee for this request to be met).

Over all, I think the dimsums were a little disappointing, but the duck made up for it and it is definitely a place to visit for special occasions.
