We travelled all the way over to Miss Kitty's after getting a confirmed booking through open table. When we arrived, we found the restaurant had closed down a month ago, and was now a bar.

This was a terrible experience. I went for my Fiance's birthday and was seriously let down. I have been the restaurant before and I have always liked the good but I will not be going back after this experience.

First- Our second course of Peking duck was served at the same time as the starters. We asked if they could return it to the kitchen as we wanted them separately. They did and just put it under a heat lamp so when they then served this course- it was lukewarm.

Second- they served the Peking duck with spring onion and CARROTS!! when we asked for the cucumber which it was supposed to be served with I was advised they had ran out. We should have been told this when taking our order for it.

Third- our plates and the duck had not even been taken away and the waiter was coming over with our main dishes. Obviously we asked for a break in between the course. They took the main dishes back and this time and recooked them but because of this, my chicken was dry, my Fiance's fillet steak was well done when it should have been medium.

Overall, a really bad experience. Carrot instead of cucumber and the service was quick and rushed. A shame because I had always recommended it to friends but now I will be talking about it for all the wrong reasons.

My booking with Miss Kitty's was to celebrate myself and friends achievement of completing the Liverpool Triathlon, Imagine how I felt when upon arriving with my Wife and eight others for the meal booked several months ago I found that the restaurant was in fact closed - they haven't opened on a Sunday for 3 months! How could you allow a restaurant to take this booking without notifying us of the changes to the opening hours, I warn anybody booking through opentable to check directly with the restaurant concerned, in fact don't use opentable book direct!

Miss Kitty's is beautifully and authentically decorated which creates a wonderful cozy atmosphere. The food and service is good. However, the price of the food is incredibly high considering the portion sizes and the fact that there are other restaurants offering equally good food at more reasonable prices.

3rd or 4th visit to Miss Kitty's - I love this place. The atmosphere is relaxed with a really nice decor. Food was great (as usual) - can recemmend the fried gyoza starters and the crispy chilli beef is sooo tasty with a great kick.

Some mix up with our sides but we did get 2 free portions of curried fries on the house to make up for it.
Miss Kitty's is a gem!!

We have been to Kitty's several times now, we enjoy the food ( even the over use of chicken fingers with most meals) but they need to sort the service out ! We ordered cocktails and we got our food before the drinks -45 minutes wait for two cocktails ??? Our next drink took an hour ?? The waiting staff are lovely but it's always a disappointment waiting so long for drinks.
We still go back because we do like it but it seriously needs addressing !
The toilets leave a fair bit to be desired too but governing our lack of drinks we didn't go this time !!!

The food was good, the music was very random and sometimes a little too loud. The reviews are right... It's very, very dark in this restaurant. My mother had to use a torch to read the menu.

Service was friendly and food delivered quickly. One thing I will point out is the toilets being 3 flight of stairs down to the basement which wasn't great for my mum.

Booked a table for new year after seeing the special 'New Years Eve' menu on their Facebook page. Arrived and asked for the new years eve special menu and it was TOTALY different to the one that we had seen online and was £10 more expensive. Felt as we had been fooled in by this amazing looking 5 course set menu but it wasn't even available at the restraunt. Overall food was very nice and of good quality. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Just a disapointment about the false menu.

We were given a table in the top corner for all 12 of us which was great because everybody could talk to each other. They had some long tables too, but this would restrict the conversation. The only criticism here is it was a little tight and a foot either side would have made for more comfort.
I gave the ambiance a 4 out of 5 as even though everybody enjoyed the décor and the environment , we thought the music was a little loud and made us talk louder as the night went on.
The service was excellent and they were very helpful and recognised our order and special requests up front.
Last but not least the food was very good. I would say it was the best overall Asian experience I have had in the UK. Lots of flavour and always warm. This is particular pleasing as they has 12 to cook for at once and full tables throughout the restaurant. I only gave 4 out of 5 , simply because it was not a cheap eat out. However, the amount of food for the money was outstanding.

If you like Asian food, give it a try, it was excellent.

Went to miss Kitty's for a family meal Sunday afternoon. The overall experience was average for start the place was freezing the lighting very dark . The starters were good however the mains were not I had battered cod in plum sauce batter was undercooked not crispy at all the rice seemed like it had been re heated in microwave the shredded chilli beef was impossible to eat and lukewarm the coconut fries don't even attempt yuk! For what the food is which is not authentic Chinese in any way is way overpriced plus a service charge added which was 13 pound for a meal that was mostly untouched !
On the plus side the waitress was nice enough and the restaurant was clean the idea of the place is good but must work on the food to impress

...but the tofu in chili coconut sauce could do with a re-do.
Booked a table for two, which wasn't ready when we arrived on time. That didn't matter really, and we got a chance to have a drink in the bar downstairs and have a chat with a friendly bartender.
The first thing we noticed when we sat down at the table was that the place looks great. Subjective of course, but a lot better than we imagined from the outside. The starters, gyozas and dumplings, were sublime. Especially the gyozas was perfectly done. For mains we shared the hoisin chicken and the fried tofu in chili coconut sauce. The former was expertly done, but the latter felt a bit one-dimensional and could have used more "body" (my english is a bit limited, but yeah).
The staff was good, attentive, and the other guests was kind of totally the people you'd want to share a restaurant with. A non-alcohol beer option (just not Becks Blue) would have been nice but the sober one of us made do with San Pellegrino, and the wino appreciated the caraf.

First time eating at Miss Kitty's - don't let the grotty entrance on Fleet St put you off it's absolutely lovely inside. The food is Asian inspired with a small-ish menu - we had ribs and vegetarian gyozas (dumplings) - both really tasty and good sized portions. For mains the Pork Char Sui was delicious but the fillet steak really tough and over cooked - sides of rice, pickled vegetables and curry chips were all really good. Great selection of beers, although some not cheap but overall I felt that £80 for food and drinks with tip was really good value. Would definitely eat here again.

I absolutely love this place, the atmosphere is so quirky and fun, I feel like i'm in some Eastern country not in the middle of Liverpool. The food is always fresh and lovely and I really enjoy taking groups of people to this place just to see the reaction on their faces as its a complete surprise from the street. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a fun environment.

I looked up Miss Kitty's on the web when deciding where to eat whilst on a business trip. The restaurant was described exactly as I imagined with the low lights provided by candles. I was greeted by Jasmine who then offered me the jasmine tea, which is s traditional welcome drink in China, a nice touch. The menu was minimalist and I found some I liked in all the courses.
The started of Tiger prawn soup was probably the best I had in or outside Asia. The main of satay chicken, noddles and vegetables was equally good.

This was my third visit to Miss Kitty's in the last month and will definitely be returning very soon! I had booked the meal for my friends birthday and everything possible was done to ensure that Gemma had a great night. The complimentary birthday cake was a lovely touch! The staff are always so friendly and accommodating with a wonderful attitude. Nothing is too much trouble!
The food was excellent, I love the chicken ramen in particular and duck pancakes. Service was efficient and we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Also love the jasmine tea on arrival! The décor and ambiance of the restaurant is perfect. Thanks again for a wonderful night!

Very good food from a brigade of non-Chinese chefs, the hot and sour soup was to die for, and dim sum selection well worth it. Service was good, the Hitochino nest white beer went very well with all the food I ate which was nice and spicy in parts. Cracking atmosphere, could have quite easily been in the far east, the design and decor very well thought out; lovely ambience and served at a leisurely pace. Will return...
