Food was lovely and could not fault the service
Fabulous food and cocktails yet again, excellent service too, we will definitely be back very soon
Wow excellent food. I'm not a great Indian food lover but this is Indian tapas and wow them flavours!
Definitely recommend and go again
second visit and again excellent food will certainly return
Amazing. Full vegan menu. Delicious food. The best Indian food I've had. Staff were lovely. Music was great.
So so good!
The restaurant was in a pleasant part of town. There was an interesting variety of food and good value for money. Service was pleasant and attentive.
Delicious meal. Friendly staff explained the menu. The food was beautifully presented.
2nd time to Mowgli once in Liverpool once in Manchester. I just don't get the hype both times food was bland. Go a proper indian. Plenty of choice out there go somewhere else.
As always at Mowgli the food was great but the service was unbelievably slow. Initially good (Prosecco on table as requested) but then it went downhill. Yoghurt bombs arrived first, then 20 minutes later angry bird appeared. Another 20 minutes passed and no sign of our food. We eventually got the attention of a waiter and chased our order which then arrived almost instantly?! Only thing missing was the puri but told it was coming next. 10 minutes more and we had to chase again. It was a Thursday early evening, the top floor closed and the ground floor only two thirds full. There is no excuse for such slow and inattentive service, especially from a street food style venue
4th time I have been here. Told family how good the food and atmosphere was and they totally agreed. They are just waiting for a Mowgli restaurant to open near them.
The food was the best Indian food I've tasted in my life! So happily surprised and impressed! Will 150% be back soon X
Beautiful food and great value for money.. I had been wanting to try the Liverpool one for a while so when I found out there was one in Manchester I had to book! I wasn't dissapointed cannot wait to return. The surroundings where just right the only criticism is the service was not very attentive we waiting a while before we could grab someone to order more drinks and to get the bill. But nothing major
Absolutely gorgeous food. A friend and
myself came here thinking we'd just have a curry. We both agreed it was the best and nicest tasting curry we've ever had!!
I really like Mowgli, the decor and food is really great, very social, great for meeting up with friends. You share tapas like indian food, and the food comes as it's ready so there is always something arriving. Really like it, food is really tasty.
The yoghurt bombs are really special. The Indian food itself lacks oil and it's closer to homemade but whimsical twists - eg ginger, rhubarb Dhaal. The lassi is not pumped full of yoghurt. Everything suggests an emphasis on quality which is rare in an Indian restaurant. The backstory of the owner is also intriguing
A very enjoyable birthday celebration evening. Our family enjoy Indian cuisine but this was on another level! Love the overall concept of small dishes to share. 5 stars! We will definitely return to sample more of the delicious menu.
Lovely food it's the closest I've felt to being in India!
The service was very good -quick and efficient.
First time visit. The food was fantastic. Well presented. Service was attentive. And overall ambience was great. The price was incredible. It was our 28th anniversary but would suit any occasion. This was the Manchester Mowgli looking forward to visiting the Mowgli in Liverpool when it opens.
Really good service and the food was fantastic! All of my group said that they would definitely be back again!! Highly reccomend the Tiffin box 👍🏻
Super Indian (not Banladeshi) home food in a great environment
Lovely cocktails too
We have tried so long to get into the one in Liverpool but they don't take bookings. We were going to a gig in Manchester so we could book. We loved it food was out of this world and atmosphere service was excellent. Can't fault it !
We love Mowgli Manchester- tiffin tins are a delight- always hard to decide your favourite
since they are all so good. Staff always lovely
First time I've been to mowgli and blown away by flavours and indivuality..... Thanks for accommodating us and we look forward to a SW expansion!!!
The food was amazing!!! The staff were very helpful and gave us great recommendations. We can't wait for our next trip to Manchester so we can eat at Mowgli again!
Nearly everything tasted sweet. Would not go again - mediocre food.
Absolutely delightful everything, with lots of references to a deity being part of the descriptions of how good the food was! Lots of fun trying and sharing new dishes. I can be a fussy eater sometimes in restaurants but Mowgli has consistently delighted me!
I love this place & my only concern is that it becomes so popular I can't get a table. The lamb chops are amazing. So is the bhel puri. And the goan fish curry. Go! (Unless I can't get a table)
Super service and super food. Everything came quickly. I recommend the Tiffin boxes which are the chef's choice.
Have tried to get a table in Liverpool on a number of occasions but struggled as unable to book in advance. Booked in Manchester as we were going to be there for the night. Was not disappointed. Food was amazing! We needed help ordering and the server helped us to get our order spot on. We will definitely be going back when the new restaurant opens in Liverpool! Only thing that could've been improved, we were served too fast for my liking. Within 40minutes, we were finished. I would've preferred to have been able to stretch it out a little longer
Poor disinterested service Food OK but no better than local takeaway.
Portions very small Overall very disappointed.
Very different from your usual indian. I much prefer this style. Never really relished the thought of Indian until now. Staff brill and excellent value for money
Great food, great prices
Amazing food, amazing service from the wonderfull staff. The only thing for us was that we were stuck in a corner which felt a bit crammed. In futer I will make sure that I ask for a view of the cathedral or the internal side of the complex
We were served quickly and the menu was explained well, with discriptions of the food. The food and drinks were good value and we will return to try out more of the delisouse menu options. The food arrived quickly and we all loved the authentic indian dining dishes. We were all choosing what we would have next time by the time we left. Excellent food and service - Well done.
Love the ambience, need blinds for the windows in the summer, as sunlight very strong. Friendly staff who explained the menu, attentive and approachable I found the food on the sweet side. The youghurt bombs are to die for and you must try the mowgli g&t yum! Give the spare ribs a miss as overloaded with sugar. The greens as a veggie option tasted lovely but not green! Disappointed by the "wrap" they call a roti, unfortunately not authentic at all, however the puris are. The chocolate dessert isn't spiced just a choc fudge cake. 3-4 dishes/ tapas are about right per person incl rice/roti. All the dishes come out at different times( which they do warn you about) but it would have been nice for everyone to get 1 of their dishes so they weren't watching the rest of us eat.
Really nice meal. The menu has plenty of good options at very reasonable prices. Will go again.
Exceptional food, friendly helpful staff. I had the Tiffin box which I was delighted with along with yoghurt chat bombs which were to die for. Others in the group had a mix of dishes and we're delighted with all even the one friend who isn't really into curry. Well recommended. Was glad we were sat upstairs however as it was incredibly busy.
loved it..very different wit lots of small dishes to choose from. I think an explanation before ordering would have been helpful.
We over ordered but can say everything we tried as delicious.
Wonderful food, friendly staff. The colleague that looked after us this time remembered me from a month ago when a bunch of train delays meant I started the date on my own. So that was nice to be remembered and continue where we left off. Great cocktails. Wine slightly on the pricey side, but good quality.
This is a very different style of Indian food. Smallish portions which is ideal for my wife and I and also gives the opportunity to try several dishes. Went early Friday evening and there was plenty of room, but I would suggest booking at busier times.
The food was very good and we will be back to try some more dishes in the near future.
