It can be difficult to stand out when you’re surrounded by others offering something very similar indeed but Muhib Restaurant manages to do just that - making itself a must try on the restaurant heavy Brick Lane in East London. Like many other restaurants on this infamous street, Muhib Restaurant has its roots in Bangladesh, specifically the northern region close to Assam. But although Muhib’s menu might have began in Bangladesh, it certainly doesn’t end there. In fact, the comprehensive selection ranges from excellent biryanis to masalas and beyond, taking in the best of flavours from the Subcontinent. Clean and classically decorated, Muhib’s dining room is comfortable and unfussy, painted in yellow and cream and featuring simple furnishings. Service meanwhile is efficient and polite, the staff knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. Booking in advance is essential, especially at weekends as Muhib is extremely popular both with locals.

Food and Service were excellent. A number of comments around the 8 people there that it may have been the curry people had ever had. Lamb Tikka Madras was said to outstanding.

We went to Muhib with a large group celebrating a friends stag do. They accommodated us very well and we’re friendly and patient. The food was really nice and I’d happily go back.

They were nice to accommodate our large group. The food was ok -- I've definitely had better on Brick Lane -- but the service was poor. Took forever to order and stingy with everything (water, rice). We sat for most of the meal with nothing to drink. Not an awful experience, but there are many good options and I'll seek a different one next time.

I'm a big fan of Indian food and this restaurant didn't disappoint me. Food was really good, we were a group of six and order few different meals, all really good and tasty. Service quite good and attentive. I will come back. Very recommended!

I visited this restaurant a few years ago and the service is just as good as it was then! Everything was great from the food to the service. The only small thing that could be improved was the bill at the end of the meal. It was a little difficult to read so it made it hard for us to determine our order (which was tough for a group of 11!). Other than that, top-notch again!

Booked for self and wife during recent visit to London. Decided had to 'do' a Brick Lane Curry House. Muhib came highly recommended and did not, in any way, disappoint. An excellent King Prawn Bhuna (nice dry sauce, full of flavour, could taste every spice individually) was the highlight for me. Being 7-8 on a Saturday night a noisy crowd was to be expected, the place was full, but did in no way detract from the experience. The boss was super attentive and seemed genuinely pleased that we had come all the way from Glasgow and had decided on his place. Price for two, starters, mains, poppadoms, spices, naan, plenty beers was less that £80 so pretty good for London I would say. We will definitely be back.

I chose this from reviews - never having been before, I am form out of town and needed a decent curry for a large group. Took a bit long for the food to arrive but it was very good... Well worth the wait and he service was efficient once the food arrived

A busy restaurant which is a good sign .The food was faultless , 7 of us all had different dishes and all were superb , being from Birmingham I have high standards with Asian food and this food was amongst the best I’ve had . Excellent attentive service too .

The food was very good, the staff were excellent being helpful, friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The furniture was comfortable and clean and the atmosphere welcoming, and quiet when we were there. This was our first visit but we will be there again!

The Muhib stands out as at the upper end of the traditional 'curry houses' in Brick Lane. You will receive a warm welcome from the manager. Clean and pleasant surroundings and food as authentic as it can be If you have 150 things on the menu (as is typical in Brick Lane). Good quality overall and a meal for 3 came to less than £80 and we ate a lot! Recommended.

We booked this on the strength of customer reviews for a group after-work meal . We were really well looked after and the menu choices were almost bewilderingly extensive. Very pleased we chose here as opposed to relying on a "come-hither" choice on the night.

The Muhib is a fantastic restaurant that is great every time. My family have been going for 30 years and it's never disappointed. I recommend this place to everyone and have heard nothing but great things. Staff are fantastic along with the food. Best place in Brick Lane!

Great the first time I came here and great again! I organised to revisit this restaurant after the last time I came (a few months ago) because of the great experience we had. It was quite quiet because it was a Monday evening (perfect). The staff were attentive, the food was great and came in a timely fashion. Just how dining should be - simple and pleasant.

Nothing fancy just good tasty Indian grub with nice friendly service. Party of 5 and all had different starters and mains and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Decor exactly as you would expect for a restaurant in Brick Lane. Been to Muhib on a number of occasions over the years and always been good.
