I was shocked there were no social distancing measures. Had I not offered to take 3 teenagers out for dinner I would have left the restaurant. Customers were placed at tables less than 1 metre away from each other. When I went to the toilet at the end I discovered they had an entire empty floor below which they could have used but chose not to. Other pubs and restaurants I've been to have taken out tables, installed screens and used apps for ordering. It's no wonder they told Open Table I hadn't turned up - they didn't want to advertise how full they were. Having said all this the food and service was good and it is good value. But I won't be coming back.

The Old Dutch is a west end legend. I remember being taken by my mother in the late 1970s as a school holiday treat and am still visiting almost half a century later. My grown-up children are now regulars too so the family tradition continues. With its combination of simple, sound food, a lively atmosphere and a phenomenal central location, what's not to like!

We've eaten here dozens & dozens of times over the decades. We chose to eat here as our first post-lockdown restaurant, our first London meal out since March. Their website states they are open until 10:30pm which is obviously incorrect but surely the table booking facility would be correct so we selected 8pm. Arrived just after 8pm to be informed that the restaurant closes at 8pm!

I have emailed My Old Dutch advising them of their website timing issues but they haven't responded nor has their website been updated.

So if you want to eat here select a time prior to 8pm. It hasn't put us off future visits but on this occasin we were very disappointed and irritated.

Great service and seating arrangement. Waiters gave ample time for ordering and were knowledgeable of menu. Food came timely and easy payment.

Gladly surprised by food and drinks. The butterscotch pancakes were really good and the serving size of them and toppings was generous. Coffee was very good too.

Spotted this by chance so decided to eat there. So glad we did. The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. So friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is a lovely clean bright place with a slight rustic feel.
Definitely a place to return to.

The sauces for our nachos came straight out of a jar- disappointing...

the sweet pancake was nice but i didn't like my salmon and egg one.
The waiter took your temperature as you walked in which is good if you are worried about Covid

It's good food and very large portions. I ordered a base-with-ingredients pancake, while my colleagues got al la carte. Both options were fine. We weren't hurried, and were able to sit for nearly two hours catching up with an old friend.

Nice food and service. They cater well for kids. The staff appeared to get on well with each other which created a good atmosphere.

The Dutch pancakes are really delicious and HUGE. We struggle to finish them. The staff is quick and attentive. The coffee is sadly not great and there is no Covid distancing, tables are really crammed.

Able to create your own pizza. I need some practise

Well known for squeezing tables in, they have not removed any for covid distancing.

One member of staff writer his mask on his chin for the 90 minutes we were there, another covered his mouth but left his nose free.

Quick service, friendly staff. Not as good as I remember...but that was 20 years ago. Savory pancakes were a little disappointing but not bad. Sweet pancakes were amazing

We booked a table for the Holborn restaurant and this was not open so unsure why bookings can be made and why the fact it wasn't open was not highlighted sooner.
