My Old Dutch - Holborn
My Old Dutch offers savoury and sweet pancakes as well as a selection of salads, traditional Dutch starters and desserts.
The atmosphere is warm friendly and relaxed which makes it a great place to come for families and kids.
Great place for pancakes as always great service from the staff & lovely pancakes. Definitely be back again soon
Apparently half the kitchen was not working so only sweet pancakes were available. Very disappointing. Seemed very busy and popular so we will try again, but generally very disappointed to not be able to have lunch. Especially as there was no word of it on social media etc...
Very disappointing. Food expensive and poor quality topped off with 12% service charge! Definitely will not be going back.
Huge portions, reasonable prices, interesting choice of savoury options. Will be back to try and sweet pancakes.
Had to ask for things lots of times. Food was great but the service left a lot go be desired.
We had a booking but arrived early. This was no problem and we were seated immediately.
Was a very busy Sunday lunchtime and little staff interaction but orders accurate and food good and hot .
Very large portions so unable to finish but offered to box up for us if needed.
would definitely go again
We thought the service was great, friendly waiters and amazing food, A place to come back!
Brought a friend here for a birthday brunch. It was a busy Saturday morning and somehow the waiters missed our table and I had to hunt one down to place our order. They did apologise and otherwise we had a lovely time.
There was something wrong on Saturday, we arrived at 10:30and there were tables. We ordered and one coffee came, and the other didn't. How can a cappuccino take so much longer than a latte? Same with the food, mine came and went cool after I was polite and waited for my two guests food to appear.
When their food came so did my cappuccino
Not really bad but on the other 5 or 6 times I've been there it's been a lot better.
a place you certainly can't miss when visiting London
I had bacon & spinach pancake, loved it, but for the first time in my life I said - I cannot eat any more bacon (and I love bacon). With that in mind, I would maybe put a bit less of it and it was super well crispy and greasy that my stomach hurt. But besides that, we all loved everything we had and would come back again!
Brilliant food and enjoyed the ambiance. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
I was robbed inside this restaurant and the manager was not helpful.
The restaurant was too rowdy which is why they allowed a thief inside in the first place.
Amazing food.. could have done with more toppings. Nice though.
Service not very good. Functional at best. Definitely not worth 12.5% automatically applied service charge. As it was optional we didn't pay it.
Nothing special, was hoping the options for buttermilk pancakes would be better. I personally am a fan of buttermilk pancakes and not crepes and the menu had more crepes than anything else.
Buttermilk pancakes were amazing. The plate was full and tast was great. The place is a bit loud and crowded, you don't have a lot of space from your neighbors and have to talk a bit loud to get heard. Overall very good moment spent there and great food. Would recommend.
Easy, cheap and quick: pancakes great, always good value for money.
Big Dutch pancakes at overblown prices.
The sweet ones we're definitely the better option.
Small cozy place to meet with your friends to have pancakes. I’ve had the seasonal pancake (my Ferrero) and it was a dream! Definitely will visit again especially to try the savoury pancakes
Extremely good pancakes and very friendly staff.
Looking forward to sampling a few more.
Nice atmosphere and polite service. Food was good but somewhat overpriced in my opinion.
The waiter was very polite and attentive but got one of the orders wrong - it was very quickly rectified
Food was great and good value. Good service. Will go back
Friendly staff, big portions for the seasonal special
Unusual and reasonable, a good central London location, time-tested. Different from the usual fare and good for vegetarians in particular.
Have the pancakes! The Amsterdammer was wonderful but my friend didn't and had the chilli, egg and fries instead and it was all very greasy sadly
We had nice pancakes, unfortunately service was slow and they had no tea. We were sat right at the back by the fire exit, not the best table in the house, although we had book in advance. I think if we were at a table near the fri t it would have been better.
Disappointing food. Felt rushed from start to finish by serving staff
Food was great but service was lacking, perhaps understaffed.
Tasty food, and good value with the offer on the website, however service was slow and the main two beers were off. It was understandable to be slow at the beginning as the restaurant was busy but the service continued to be slow as the restaurant emptied out, which meant we decided not to get dessert.
If you want big pancakes this is where to go! You will struggle to fit dessert in for sure
On arrival they claimed we never booked a table, though I have several emails that prove I have through open table, which I was linked to through their website. So they may need to work on that. Plus the service is very slow and you have to really make an effort for someone to come and take your order or bring you the bill. Luckily the food is good and reasonably priced.
The initial welcome wasn’t impressive. It seemed an inconvenience that I had brought a party of 5 with me (to one of my favorite places). The party behind us in the queue had pre-booked and were swiftly given a very warm welcome.
But, true to form, once we were finally seated, the food was lovely, service was good and my guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as can be seen :)
We ordered a sweet and a savoury pancake, while the sweet one was pretty decent, pancakes were fluffy, lots of toppings, the savoury one was dry and burnt, which was absolutely dreadful. And to mention the VERY POOR SERVICE we received, the person was so rude and had to ask him twice to get the bill because he had forgotten the first time, rude and unprofessional. Bad experience and unlikely to return.
Great service, they have a choice of vegan pancakes and toppings which was a nice surprise, also the pancakes are massive!
Great place to have a breakfast. Our pancakes were super delicious and great quality.
Service was outstanding!
Lovely waiting staff.
Food so so. Orders incorrect on two things
Tired decor with an unclean feel
My favourite pancake place! Would 100% recommend to all friends and family
This restaurant is an old favourite of mine. It’s great to go to if you want to try something a bit different from pizza for a change
