De Wallen Restaurants
Bistro Berlage has a quiet, placid, welcoming and relaxing ambience, reinforced by very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed in an historic building that has preserved some of the famous interior architectural touches and combined them with a contemporary feel. A good place to enjoy civilized conversation and quality cuisine in the evenings, or by day an economical business lunch. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I booked this restaurant as a surprise for a friend's birthday in Amsterdam, and from the very moment we walked in we felt the place was special. It is a privileged space in the middle of the hub of the Red Light District, and you feel you are in a completely different world, away from all the hustle. Food, staff, service, atmosphere were all outstanding. If we go back to Amsterdam, this will be certainly a place we will revisit. Highest recommendation. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Discover De Wallen
Home to the city’s infamous red light district, the area boasts several hidden gems when it comes to restaurants, accessible through a network of alleyways. As a central tourist hotspot, there are also a number of burger and pizza spots for casual and quick eats. But if you look closer, you’ll find exquisite Spanish tapas and paella, inventive modern European fare, and rustic pizza. “Coffee shops” are are also frequent in this area, which may explain the abundance of casual food lining the streets—the munchies can strike at any time, and there are ample options to satisfy any craving.
