My son took me out for dinner and the staff were so lovely to us both and we both really enjoyed the food and drinks. The food is to a very high standard and go on a Sunday if you want an excellent Sunday roast at restaurant quality. I considered it good value for money. Don’t be put off by it being inside a hotel either, it’s not a typical hotel restaurant with mass produced food it’s a high quality restaurant in its own right. More

Excellent little restaurant handy for pre-theatre but seems to be off the radar as it was very quiet on a Friday at 7.00pm. Perhas it depends somewhat on student clientele given its location. Service is good and the food is excellent. Drinks menu is limited but there is something for everyone and not overly expensive. Overall a good place to go for an inexpensive quality meal which is handy for most amenities on the south side. More

Nice value in Old Town/Grassmarket. Got the 3-course dinner for 20£, which is rare in this area. Though the burger was a bit dry, the fish and chips passed the test and the salmon app was sizable and yummy. The sticky toffee pudding beats the pecan treacle tart ;) Service was attentive. Would come again for the value and the views on Grassmarket! More

Can not fault the food quality coupled with a nice wine list makes this an great proposition. However the feel is a bit stuffy and on our night (Wednesday) pretty lifeless. Now it was an early booking 6:30 and admittedly humpday but it just felt like there was no soul to the place. Having said that food excellent - so would go back but maybe next time a bit later in the evening and the week. More

A very good Malaysian meal. Everything was timely despite being really busy. All meat is halal which is fantastic. All of us enjoyed what we choose. In had a Malaysian street food option which was so good. Some of the table staff could have been a bit more friendly and smiled a bit.
