Mediterranean | la Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, Sant Martí

We open for the first time in 1993 as “BARNABIER the Harbour Pub”. People know us with this name for being located below Mapfre Tower, in the heart Olympic Villa and. An ideal place where people can enjoy our wide selection of beers of all over the world and, such as lager, pilsner, stout, fruity, wheat, abbey and trappist. Our beer tradition allowed us in collaborating with the best international and nationals brands, like Abadia Chimay, an Trappist abbey whose beer is elaborated by monks following the tradition from the 19th century
Without neglecting our beers, over time we have been adapting to the needs of the consumer, redecorating the restaurant and expanding our services. Nowadays we stand out thanks to our first quality plates using fresh ingredients, seafood and fishes provided every day and preserving our Mediterranean diet culture.
Part of our charm is offering a relaxed, maritime and traditional ambience. Easily valuable in our plates and the costumer service.More

We were attracted to La Taberna Gallega de Marcos because of its award-winning lobster paella. The paella was outstanding, as were the location, ambiance, and service. So we returned two more times before ending our vacation in Barcelona. Moltes gràcies! More

Discover la Vila Olímpica del Poblenou

La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, or The Olympic Village of Poblenou, was constructed by famous architects Oriol Bohigas, David Mackay, and Albert Puigdomènec specifically for the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona. Relatively new to the city, la Vila Olímpica del Poblenou has still managed to make a name for itself amongst its older neighbors in the Sant Martí district. With plenty of shopping, nightlife, parks, water activities, and restaurants nearby, the area is always bustling with energy and enthusiasm. And due to its close proximity to the sea, you’ll find that restaurants typically serve lighter Mediterranean-style dishes, utilizing fresh, local ingredients as much as possible. But if you’re in the mood for something heartier, don’t hesitate to try the Catalan favorites like escudella i carn d'olla, a classic stew, or even fideuà, their inventive take on a traditional paella.
