Contemporary American | Chinatown / Kensington Market, Toronto

Grey Gardens is consistently one of the best places to eat out in Toronto. The combinations of flavours coming from the kitchen and options for wine curated by Jake is top notch and the room is beautiful. More

Without a doubt my fave restaurant because of the food and service quality. The close quarters and noise levels would deter me if not for the absolutely delicious food and personable staff. More

Peking duck was amazing! The only critique I would have is value for dollar. For example bunch Mei was $12 and it was a slightly over toasted bun. The server was also slightly indifferent to our needs. Overall though great food and a nice place to bring a gang of people. More

Caribbean | Chinatown / Kensington Market, Toronto

We do not serve fast food. Does that mean we're slow? We don't think so. We prepare food with recipes passed down from one generation to the next in the Caribbean. We prepare the food our granny/mom/dad prepared for us growing up. For our Caribbean customers, we strive to remind you of your childhood. For our non-Caribbean customers, we want to give you a taste of our culture.

We are proud of the diversity of the Caribbean. You will taste flavours from Africa, India, China, and from Indigenous groups. All the food is prepared with fresh ingredients, with some being imported from the Caribbean. We could give you the ingredients and show you how to cook the food, but it will never taste the way we cook it. This is because it will be missing the main ingredient: our hands. More

We went to a bar at dinner time (~6:30PM) so the ambience was not what a bar would normally be like, but there was drumming going on outside which added to the noise level since it was fairly empty when we went. The food was good and came quickly, the service was quick and the server was always returning to fill our cups with water, which was greatly appreciated. I imagine that the overall experience here is much better if you go when it is darker out and actually have drinks! More
