Argentinian | Apollobuurt, Zuid

Gauchos is an Argentinean restaurant that has been operating for over 40 years. The restaurant gets its name for the South American cowboys who would work and roam all over the continent from Chile to Argentina to Brazil. These cowboys perfected the art of grilling meat over an open flame, and the tradition has been passed down to make Argentinean steaks some of the most famous in the world. Gauchos is no exception, and while diners can certainly order chicken, seafood and other options, the star of the show here is definitely the steak and pork dishes.

To try the steak in its purest form, diners should give the steak tartare a try as an appetizer, and go all in on a 500g rib eye for dinner.
