I had brunch here today with 5 of my friends, and I have to say that I am very disappointed with the service we experienced from such a highly rated restaurant. Our waitress, was extremely condescending which made the atmosphere very awkward and tense. One of my friends is a vegan, and when asking the waitress what plates were vegan and if they had a vegan menu, we were given a very abrupt no. If you are vegan this really isn’t the place for you, there’s scarcely anything vegan on the brunch menu besides the salad. To make matters worse our drinks actually came after we had finished our food, because the waitress forgot we had ordered it; this should have been the first things to arrive at the table. The waitress was very inattentive, and patronising when we enquired about things on the menu. The food is very nice, however I don’t think I’ll ever return to NAC Mayfair, as the service was subpar. For the same price range and quality of food, we were better off going to Granger & Co. for instance, as they know how to properly treat their customers. Additionally, if you do decide to go here just know that when the waiter/waitress offers you still water in a bottle the moment you are seated, it is literally £5 a bottle. I felt that the waitress was very sneaky in offering it to us, as she made it seem that the water was complimentary. Lastly, despite the food being very nice, there are other restaurants in the same area that will give you the same good quality food, but with better atmosphere and better service for the same price as NAC Mayfair. I do not know the name of the waitress who served us, as she failed to introduce herself to us, otherwise I would have stated it, as I think she should be spoken to about this, however i know that she had blonde hair.
Great table outside
Service was brilliant
Starter was a quinoa salad which needed to be much more interesting, but the delicious main course made up
Nice vibes. Tasty food. A bit pricy but delicious. It wasn’t my first tome to go there and won’t be the last.
I dined here with my boyfriend and I have to say it was lovely. The staff allowed me to move our booking half an hour as my partner was running late from work, but they were very accommodating.
I do think the menu is bit overpriced for the amount of food you get, and I would have preferred the waiter to suggest buying a bottle of wine instead of topping up our glasses several times and charging per glass. Other than that, a great evening and great food, very very tasty and good vegetarian options!
The best option is to take Tapas to share. Very good service,
I had heard lots of great reviews at NAC and it was on my list of must have places to visit in London. I booked for brunch on a Saturday for myself and a friend. The atmosphere was very lively as there were many people queuing and within the restaurant, however it did not feel too overcrowded and noisy/loud. Our food and drinks came out at a reasonable time and the food was delicious! I ordered the french toast which came out in a honey dome and had a centre of Speculoos with cream and raspberries on the side. My only criticism would be about the service and whilst the staff were very friendly I did find them slightly un-attentive. When arriving I requested some water for the table by the woman who showed me to my table. I then had to request water again from the water who took my drinks order (when bringing our drinks over however he had forgotten about it). I then had to ask a third time, and on this time (because I had made a point about asking for the third time) a waiter bought out some water for the table. Something similar happened when asking for the bill; I had to request it three times before I actually received it. There was a female member of staff in a yellow dress who eventually stepped in to help.
Whilst the restaurant was busy with lots of people, it wasn’t full to the brim and in my opinion didn’t warrant having to repeatedly ask for something as simple as water. Having said that I had a good time and would definitely recommend the restaurant to my friends :)
We were a group of 5 in comfortable booths downstairs - upstairs is noisier / buzzier, but being able to speak to each other actually suited us. Service was excellent - very enthusiastic and charming for a 10pm table without being intrusive. Food is great - modern European ultimately, interestingly eclectic without trying too hard, good ingredients and - ultimately - pretty tasty, small plates are a generous size.
I booked NAC for my birthday. Besides my lovely company the evening was a disaster. We ordered 2 starters, 3 mains and specified food restrictions (no mayonnaise, no excessive amount of dairy) . After 25 min the waitress brought us the starters and a third one which we didn't order. We mentioned it shortly, no further reaction from the waitress, she only said "complementary" . Unfortunately, I didn't even have cutlery at that point, making it hard to enjoy the starters. But,well. Still OK, that happens. After our starters we waited 1 hour (!) for our mains. We were promised several times that our mains would be ready every second. After one hour without being offered any snack/drink to bridge the long waiting time, the dishes finally came. Unfortunately, my dish contained loads of mayonnaise, so I had to return it. However, the experience of eating together was ruined, as my friends had to eat theirs before it was cold. In addition, we ordered 3 coffees- after 25 Min still no coffee. We asked about it and rudely, our waitress said we never ordered! How dare she? instead of apologizing, she just said we didn't order them. We talked to her again and she said "ah yes right, I remember, you ordered 3 x espresso“. We were offered desserts on the house and took the churros. We received the churros and a cookie icecream dish with a candle (very sweet move of the manager, however, due to my intolerance I couldn’t eat it). After the coffee eventually arrived, we asked for the bill. We were charged for the 3rd starter (we never ordered), for my main (that in total took 1h 25min) & for the churros (although offered for free, we had to pay for the churros- the uneatable cookies/icecream dish was for free + coffee). I was utterly disappointed by the way I was treated. I planned to go there for breakfast for an entire month, but never had the time for it, which is why I decided to go for a birthday dinner instead. Idk if I give it another try for breakfast? we shall see.
The waitress was super friendly and really sweet! The food was great.
Food was delicious and service delightful! An amazing Brunch!
Great as always
Excellent service - despite electrical problems, our food arrived promptly and staff appeared to keep everything under control. We really liked the shared food concept and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. A great meal.
Veggie options were so great. And obviously the desserts, too.
Great as always. Food is excellent!
Nice lively French bistro near our hotel. Food and wine very good and prices okay for Mayfair.
Would come again
We’ve always had a positive experience at Nac.. except yesterday. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We then discovered we got the wrong food order. We had ordered the truffle burger and the mushroom toast. Instead, we received the tuna poke bowl and a chicken dish. The food was taken back and we got our “correct”order 25 minutes later. To make matters worse, the cooked well done burger I had ordered arrived rare.. Unfortunately, it was a very surprising negative experience.
The service was so awful that they offered free dessert to make up for it. Food was good, nothing extraordinary. However, portions were bad: one of us ordered a salad witg salmon, which ended up being a bowl of quinoa and a tiny piece of salmon.
Lovely looking, delicious food and not bad value but service was very slow and having to ask twice for water, the bill and a napkin was not great.
The interiors at NAC are so beautiful, and the general vibe is so lovely, however the food didn't quite meet my expectations, I found the portion sizes very small for the price and very basic, my friend had the eggs Benedict and the poached eggs were over cooked. I had the french toast, which was very small, leaving me still hungry. However, I cannot fault the service, the staff were very friendly.
Lovely / staff was very friendly
The service and dessert were underwhelming, but the mains were really good!
Good food good atm....
We had a nice meal. The service was polite but incredibly slow. There was also mistakes made with our order (it happens) this in turn added to the very long wait which was unfortunate because we needed to catch a train to the airport. One course took 45 minutes to arrive. This was hard to understand as they were all simple dishes one being a cold plate of food and a house salad.
But the main concern and criticism for us was the diabolical state of the toilets. There really is no excuse to have that sort of mess, especially as it was only lunchtime so it was clear the toilets had not been cleaned that day with dirty tissue papers all over the floor and unclean toilets etc. It was a real shame and a bit of a let down for an otherwise very smart establishment.
Lovely Mother’s Day brunch for a family with 4 young children. Everything we ordered tasted amazing, and service was brilliant.
The bathroom is so nasty and it’s not the first time it’s in such state . How place with your price range can have such unhygienic bathroom ?!?!?!
Food is okay
Service is good
Really good atmosphere and good food.
Only thing: the music was a bit too loud.
That was horible. NAC is well known to me as a place for deserts/drinks. However, once we ordered the manager came and ask us to order a main course as mentioned in the website policy. That was a scam, it should be mentioned before I book a table for “6”!. The main course was thrown away because of that hidden policy.
I’m definitely not going to recommend booking through this website as there no obvious sentence to state that we can’t order sweets and drinks.
Had a great time here as always! The vibe is excellent, the menu always interesting and varied. I love the torched cauliflower and the truffle mac & cheese is a must-have! In general everything is very tasty and the service lovely.
NAC is always a good idea ! Either for friends or for a couple :) amazing food, especially the aubergine, Mac&cheese, broccoli, and the best cookie dessert ever !
Rude service, very noisy and a tiny table. Food is excellent. Ordered the quinoa salad, truffle burger and dulce de leche pancakes. Ordered churros too but we were told 10 minutes after ordering that the restaurant has run out.
Some of the menu dishes were outstanding, other basics like eggs on toast were small (rather sad) portions. Ambiance was lovely.
Very goood !!!!
Rude at the reservation door, took an exceptionally long time for the food to be ready, egg whites & kale salad were a fail, but pancakes & truffled mac cheese very good.
Amazing vibe, great food, brilliant service!
Great food, great music, great atmosphere.
I had brunch here on Sunday with my friends ! Loved the pancakes, cookies and french toast. Fries were cooked and seasoned amazingly . Ambience service overall feel of NAC was lovely and casual . It wasn’t like some places where you feel pressured to leave by the waiters/waitresses. Thoroughly enjoyed our time
A great find! Warm, pleasant surroundings, good vibe , with friendly and nicely attentive service. We had a starter and main - all very good and their signature burger is just very, very excellent. We began with a bottle of Pinot Grigio but it didn’t fall right - they offered a choice of alternatives without any fuss. We will definitely be going back again ... and again!
Have been meaning to try this plac for a while. Loved it! Really liked the interior and vibes, great staff and amazing food. Reasonable value to for the area. Will definitely return to try the brunch and will recommend to friends.
