Great lunch experience
Food was delicious, but quite expensive for tapas. Flamenco was a nice touch
Not really authentic tapas. I had the sardines and they were below average. The other dishes were fine as well but did not wow me.
Good food + flamenco performance
Excellent flamenco show! And the service was fantastic.
Outstanding food and service! The shrimp in garlic sauce and skirt steak are my favorites. The spinach salad is also tasty and all of their sangrias are delicious. I keep going back.
The food is okay. But the dishes are too small, and also it is a little expensive.
Great food! Everything we ordered were great and the portion were typical tapas size that your party can share. We ended up getting about 7 dishes for 5 of us and all were delicious:) sangria was also good too! Definitely recommend!
Amazing food, great service, the sangria is soooo good, a little pricey but totally worth it and if you go to see the flamenco show, even better. I totally recommend, you will be amazed and fall in love with this place and their food.
Amazing food , excellent service and great ambiance! One of the best dining experiences in NYC! The only problem is that there are so menu items- so difficult to choose! All of them were so delicious! We kept saying "wow" after trying each one. To name a few, Tostada de Lubina (sea bass) divinas!!!! Pintxo de Chistorra -oh that quail egg! Rabo guisado (oxtail) so tasty! Can't wait to try more! Great sangrias! Multiple white sangria options. Shared 2 half pitchers to try two of the options. Great space for large groups. Can't wait to go back!
Enjoyed the food and the setting. The staff was ok, place was hot, and noisy!
We went on a Friday night with 5girls. While my friend and I were waiting for the other girls the guy sever gave us a sangria on the house. And the lady who was our server up stairs was super on point. She gave us many different wine for us to taste before we ordered a bottle. She was always checking up on us and made a great vibe. The unfortunate part was there was no AC going on so it was pretty hot inside. Even though we were right next to the open window. But overall the food was great and especially the servers made our day! Definitely will come back.
Went for the flamenco dance show on Saturday night. Great service and crowd too.
What a delightful dinner we had! The creative food is well-thought out and delicious, and the youthful and energetic staff could not be nicer.
Personally, I find the mismatched seating chairs and tableware charming although I know that that doesn't suit everyone.
One caveat: They don't have a full liquor license yet, so if cocktails are important to you, you might be taken aback. Someone has cleverly decided to mix drinks with what they are calling whiskey wine--substituting wine and other flavors for hard liquor. Meh. But the wine list has many interesting options so don't be deterred.
We'll be returning with friends!
Lubina toast including the asparagus was overcooked but still delivered flavor. Half cauliflower was delicious especially the sauce. Shrimp in garlic sauce were good-the sauce is excellent. Serrano jam & manchego cheese were very flavorful. Coconut flan was light & refreshing.
Turned out to be a great dining and dance-watching after an initial moment of hesitation after being seated.
Even thiugh the restaurant would deserve a much more thematic environment, it was a definitely very enjoyable experience worth recommending!
Will go there again!
This is a very good restaurant--excellent kitchen, charming and efficient staff, casual but stylish room. Menu and wine list have plenty of interesting and delicious choices.
There are several new items on the menu, everything we had was delicious! It was my guests first time and they want to return to Nai Tapas when they come back to New York. This is my favorite restaurant and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Best tapas in NYC! All my friends, who know a lot about food and wine, really loved it!
Awesome as always great food and service never disappoints.
So you sit down at your table, right? The host was smiley while leading you to your table and the ambiance is just right- so far so good. The menu is brought to you, you smile and say thanks, yadda yadda- but then. Rarely had you encountered this before. You flip back and forth through the menu, trying to see how this could be possible. Everything on the menu looks amazing. How could you possibly choose?? You pick out three options, only to quickly exchange one item with another over and over until the server comes and you panic and order the last three things you were thinking about (you end up ordering an extra item later anyways...you knew this was going to happen too...) When the food speedily arrives, you mentally go through your past week trying to remember what good deed you did that made you deserving of this food. You don't remember, yet that doesn't come close to stopping you or your taste buds from indulging in the beautiful tapas before you. Need I go on?
oh- and make sure you get the sea bass- it'll make you rethink every other sea bass you've ever put in your mouth whether for food or recreation.
Cousins trip celebrating a birthday. Staff was amazing called to adjust our reservation to insure our dinner was great! Fast service, great food and very attentive. The Flamenco Dancing was amazing. Really a treat to our dinner!
Taste of spain in New York
Live flamenco, can not ask for better nite out.
My husband and I both got the tasting menu with the Sangria pairing. The food was excellent and the sangria was plentiful. I recommend checking them out.
So much fun and such a good experience! Foods awesome, the show is really fun!
My family and friends had a very nice experience. Everyone took the time to answer our questions, and the Sangria is the best I have ever had.
Fantastic service food and value, lacks a bit of ambience so some music would be great as all we could hear was the stamping upstairs from the flamenco
Delicious food, tasty drinks (non-alcoholic sangria was awesome), super service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, despite being seated by a very loud group.
The food was incredible and so was the service.I can't wait to return!
Lubina, toast wrapped Chilean sea bass was the star; I would order it again in spite of the price ($19.25) & small portion. Shrimp in garlic sauce were good-the sauce elevates this dish. Coco flan was light & refreshing. Potatoes with aoli & ham croquettes were not up to standards of the other tapas we had.
Incredibly noisy, just the way 20 somethings like it.
One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in New York or anywhere. Incredible service, incredible value, and an unforgettable meal. Get the tasting menu. Trust me.
Delicious tapas. Great happy hour deal. Especially loved the croquettes.
Every single aspect of this restaurant is phenomenal. Food is so flavorful and delicious and service is exceptional. Emmanuel was our server and he was able to anticipate our every need and recommended some perfect wine pairings for us. Can't wait to go back! 11/10
Amazing sangria--especially with the happy hour price. As tapas, of course the serving sizes weren't huge, but every single dish was delicious! The Brussel sprouts were amazing! Highly recommend. Such a lovely atmosphere too!
First time dining at their new location. We were always very fond of their old locale and hoping this new spot would be on par. Safe to say that it is just as good. They added many more tapas options. We enjoyed my Father’s Day dinner immensely. The pictures don’t do it justice. Service was friendly and efficient presentation of the chicken tapa was exquisite. We will definitely be back yet again. Hope to go when they have their flamenco dancers Thursdays or Saturdays
I’ve been here twice. First time on the first level and second time on the second floor for the flamenco show. I will definitely go back for the food and service (on the ground level) but definitely not for the show. The second floor was too noisy, loud and tightly packed to enjoy the show or the food.
Nai Tapas is far and away one of the best restaurants in New York. From the moment that my wife and I walked in to the moment we walked out, it was clear how much care and detail went into every inch of this place. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and happy to accommodate any patron. The ambiance of the place is phenomenal, with every vase, every flower, every chair chosen with acute attention to detail. Additionally, every Thursday and Saturday you have the opportunity to see an excellent live flamenco show.
It has all of this going for it without even mentioning the food which is phenomenal. All of the dishes are created by chef Ruben Rodriguez, a man wholly deserving of a Michelin star or two. The tapas are small but, if you listen to the staff on how much you should order for your party, you will walk away feeling very satisfied. I will be recommending this place to every person I know.
The best Spanish restaurant in NYC! The food is very authentic.
I came here two years ago and the place is great and cozy. They changed to a new location and the place is cute. A few items have different price based on the portion and we ordered the small portion for all, however the waitress served us the large portion at the end and she kept telling us for two people we need 6-7 dishes typically for tapas, which is not true, I felt like she’s just trying to sell us to buy more food than we need.
After this experience I will not go back.
