Lovely place tasty hot breakfast, staff very polite & attentive

Came here like I do every couple of months, unfortunately we won’t be returning and neither will any my family Service tonight was appalling We booked in at 18.15 on the 08/12/24 Food was excellent as always But poor poor service, never experienced that before Towards the end we waited for 35min for one desert that never came in the end , shocking even after asking it still never arrived Main dish also took ages to come out long after the starter We ended up asking to get the desert boxed and we only got half of it. Shockingly poor I normally bring all my family’s every year on the 22nd but sadly I won’t after tonight ( nearly 2 hours to get 3 dishes and only 2 appeared???? Terrible Very disappointed…. Not sure what’s changed Even had to ask for more drinks tonight as waiter staff walked by numerous times Perhaps it’s lack of staff, and staff that can’t be bothered anymore Somethings wrong , was never like this before and believe me I’ve been a regular for many many years I see many other people on the reviews saying service poor too Don’t fix it, lose it This is how many empires collapse, As a Business owner myself you need to be on top, and sadly your restaurant is not.

This was our first time dining here. The food is traditional Scottish cuisine and was of excellent quality. It was difficult to choose as there's a great selection of seafood as well as meat dishes including venison. One of us had lobster and said it was brilliant. I opted for a Christmas dinner because I always cook tge Christmas Dinner at home and never really enjoy it properly and I felt this was maybe the wrong choice but it was excellent- cooked to perfection. I'm not sure if the chefs actually bring the food to the table? But the way the food was served added a nice wee touch. The staff member who looked after us was lovely as well and didn't overdo it - perfect.

Great food! Great vibe, live music was very loud, but it’d be unrealistic to expect anything else. Service was great but couldn’t see any one for a few mins for the bill but was able to pay at thr bar very quickly- had trains/buses to catch is all, otherwise we wouldn’t have noticed

The aesthetic of this rooftop terrace bar is brilliant, lovely night for a date night of girls night!
