The pub was very quiet but fortunately it was warm enough to sit outside where there were 3-4 other tables busy. The food arrived promptly, was hot and very tasty. I had chicken & tarragon pie which was lovely & tasty!

We had a really delicious meal to celebrate our son getting his uni finals result! The food was not only really good, but also beautifully presented and our waiter was friendly and gave us good advice on what to order. We had a great time and feel lucky to have such an excellent restaurant in our local area. Also we went on a Monday evening, good to know because quite a few restaurants don’t open on Mondays.

Great food and good value, nice brunch menu and good Father’s Day treat

Luckily, Franklins is quite local for us, as the food is consistently great, the menu changes regularly, so it always seems new, while retaining their signature style, and the service is always friendly and welcoming, making it a great favourite. The St Veran white wine that we chose to accompany the rillettes and brisket was delicious and matched perfectly. A great meal enjoyed by all of us, thank you!

Lovely pub with a restaurant at the back, on the corner of a residential street, off the beaten track of Lordship Lane. They do a really good value mid-week set meal, but I ordered from the pizza menu and it was excellent. Attentive service. Great value. We would go again.
