"This was our first visit. On a Tuesday night it was quiet as expected but filled up as the evening went on. The service was very good. A good selection of drinks. The food selection was also good. If you wanted a burger. The burgers came but in my opinion weren't that hot, just warm and the fries were over done to the point of being a crisp. The burgers we had tasted lovely. Would go back again"See more

"We went on a Friday at 6.15 pm, and ordered from the regular menu. The sharing platter was an excellent starter, my husband then went for the 8oz fillet steak with seasonal veg, which he said was the best steak he had ever eaten, I had pork wrapped in Parma ham which again was excellent. However the desserts were a little disappointing, if you love ice cream you are well catered for, maybe we are old fashioned but we would have liked the sticky toffee pudding with custard, or maybe a traditional suet jam roll poly. It was a little noisy on this occasion, and it is quite expensive for a pub meal, however we had an excellent quality meal, with good service and felt it was worth what we paid. Thank you to the staff and the brilliant chef."See more
