Always a good experience here from the moment you enter. friendly, accommodating staff. it’s a small menu but don’t let that put you off, a good choice, and everything on it, is piping hot and freshly cooked by the exceptional chef. I say that because my fish and chips yesterday, were the best I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant or a take away, it was superb, so compliments to the chef from me, especially in 30 degrees outside. To top it all, they even bothered to serve me a very special desert for our anniversary, even though it was very busy, he bothered to make our meal special by doing this, so thank you chef! Beautiful garden, lots of tables and shade, excellent food, what more could you ask for. just to add, it was a weekday lunch, and yet it was bustling with happy people enjoying a good lunch. A definite thumbs up from us thank you.

Had Sunday lunch for the family. Moved indoors last minute in case of rain (which never came). Superb food, Between us we had the beef sirloin, roast chicken and the mushroom nut roast for my pescatarian wife. Empty plates all rounds, and not because the portions were light! I’ve been trying for years to make Yorkshire puddings like that… All accompanied by a fantastic range of draft bears and wine and absolutely faultless service, even thought they had a number of bookings, including a table of 16. And very pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Lovely pub , excellent service , vegetables were cooked just right and superb taste. Friendly staff and a thoroughly good experience I would certainly recommend you try it

We had a lovely birthday lunch, felt very welcome. Noisy building works outside beyond their control.
