Vancouver Now Has Its Very-Own Georgian Restaurant!Dediko, owned by a mother-son team, serves the country’s famous stuffed breads and dumplings out of a cheery Evergreen Boulevard cafe. Dediko’s menu is stacked with the classics of that region, with a number of different khachapuri, soup-filled dumplings called khinkali, walnut-heavy vegetable dishes called phkali, and various grilled meats called mtsvadi. Also coming from the grill, Dediko’s kababi consists of a kebab-like grilled ground chicken patty with Georgian spices, folded in a roll of lavash flatbread. Nico Bakh is partial to a homey dish called lobio, a bean stew served in an imported Georgian pot, complete with a side of fermented vegetables and a Georgian cornbread called mchadi.

    Wonderful experience. It was super busy with the Christmas Ship Parade, but Kai made us feel as if we were his only table. The hosts were super accommodating also. Great seafood and filet. Can't wait to go back.

    Ordered the campfire feast. The roasted brussel sprouts and fried zucchini were delicious. The top sirloin was grisly throughout. How does a steak house serve poor quality? They brought a new one but took too long. We were done eating by the time they brought it. Service not great. Ordered dessert and it came 15 minutes later.

    If you live in Portland/Vancouver or are visiting do not miss the opportunity to dine at one of my family's all time favorites, Salty's on the Columbia. Today, while visiting from Boston my mother and I had an outstanding experience, We cannot even begin to rave about the perfectly trained service, the incredible menu, the food presented and of course THE VIEW!! One never tires of river, the mountains, the boats on the water from the windows. She had the incredible Slab Salad (think wedge salad without the wedge). I started with a cup of the Salty's clam chowder with tiny bay shrimp (a Pacific Ocean speciality not found on our East Coast) and then the Dungeness Crab (an other Pacific delicacy) cheese melt. Washing it down with the Phelps Pinot Noir. Excellent. We wrapped up our lovely time together with a slice of the desert chef's holiday specialty of pumpkin cream pie! Try Salty's. You will never forget it.

    What a great location, enhanced tonight with the Christmas ships. The calamari was among the best we’ve had. The brisket burger was outstanding, and the side salad was a perfect side. The pizza was good, but would pick the brisket burger over it. Lots of other good choices — we will be back!
