Great Missenden Restaurants

Good menu and the quality of the food is excellent. The service from every member of staff we engaged with was superb - energetic and enthusiastic.

I had booked one of the window tables for two at 1:00 p.m., but when my fiend was late called to say we would be delayed. We arrived at 1:30 p.m. or later and the table had kindly been held for us. I don't recall it being noisy in the restaurant at all. The food was good, but not cheap, and the service was excellent -- a young lady (I've known for many years with long hair, whose name I don't recall) and some young men who were most pleasant and helpful.

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were going to have a lovely evening. Under new management, this pub offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Cosy chairs by the log fire, as well other comfy areas, make for an ideal place for food and drinks. The food is delicious. The menu is relatively small, but this allows for high quality, home cooked food, which is what a village pub should be about. The restaurant is small but perfectly sized for an intimate dinner for two or a larger group. The service is excellent, with staff wanting to ensure everything is as it should be. Four-legged guests are also made welcome by the staff who treat all customers as friends.

Our second visit and it more than lived up to the promise of our first. Indeed it was probably even better as we were more familiar with the menu. Staff were lovely and very helpful, our group left very happy and determined to return soon. Definitely a significant and positive addition to the Amersham dining scene.
