Holsworthy Restaurants

The Thatch nachos cannot be beaten. Loaded to the max and delicious. My husband had the lobster from the specials board and said he could have eaten two!! We also had steaks, ribs and pasta dishes from the menu during this years trip- all amazing. Never had a bad meal and we’ve been visiting for over 20 years. We visit The Thatch often when we stay in Croyde as their gluten free options are varied and good ( I have intolerance) but only slight grumble is they need a dessert option other than ice cream!! We find the staff so welcoming and efficient, the ambiance is always lively in the evenings and it’s advisable to book in advance as they get really busy especially during school holidays. The dishes are great value for money and they don’t scrimp on portion sizes. It’s our favourite restaurant to eat in when we go to Croyde.

We are on holiday in Appledore and looking for somewhere different to eat each evening. So glad we found the Pig on the Hill. Lovely food, but best of all such lovely staff - friendly, knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. They really made our evening.

Superb food, classy service - much better than I had anticipated it was is essentially a small holiday/surfing destination. One of those truly memorable meals… just wish other diners hadn’t tuned up in grungy jeans and sweatshirts - it deserves better!!

Great food, great service, love the outside private pods. One of the best places to eat in Bude. I’ll be returning to enjoy more food soon
