First time in the Ivy, it won’t be our last food service etc excellent, we were fortunate to have our table upstairs and the views are fab.

It was my first night in Edinburgh with my family, we were celebrating my parents 37th anniversary. We had a wonderful evening with good food and service. Very well deserved to our server Sarah we went out of her way to make my parents feel celebrated, it truly was her attention to detail that made our night! Would recommend this resto to anyone visiting!

Food was to a high standard and delicious, service was very attentive considering how busy the place was. In addition we reserved the couches for a family celebration, the bar guy was non stop until we left at closing. The drinks and cocktails selection and pricing was excellent.

The food was delicious. My husband is a steak lover and he said it was beautifully cooked. The food was well presented and tasty. The value for money was good too. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Things I would like to note… for a fine dining experience, I felt the table and chairs were a bit shabby, with chips in woodwork. A tablecloth on the table would have been preferred. Whilst waiting staff were lovely, some did not have a knowledge of what was on the menu, particularly the catch of the day. Otherwise, we had a lovely evening and even received a surprise dessert for our special occasion.

Food and service very good. Respect for covid restrictions managed well. Picked a bad night for noise too many television screens all over the restaurant. An area set aside to provide for a little quiet ambience would be appreciated.
