There was some big tables in enjoying Xmas work meals and so we were advised that service may be a little slower but in fact everything went very smoothly. The staff were all very friendly and professional despite being busy All the food was delicious, the service excellent and the choice of 0% beer very good! Portions were decent, there were some nice ‘gastro’ touches like the crisp chicken skin accompanying the Chicken Schnitzel and the truffle mayo. And the Tiramisu was stunning! The room itself is warm, inviting and clean to a high standard. Due to the flooding, the receptionist kindly upgraded us in the likelihood that the room flooded, with it being so close to the river. We then experienced staying in the junior suit and oh my, how beautiful. We have been truly spoilt. It was unfortunate regarding the floods but this did not stop us from enjoying our time away. A lovely selection of food including some unusual specials. Our food arrived and it was all delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive.
