$$$$•American•4.7(83)Located less than 10 minutes from downtown and 5 from The Pearl (neighbors with the University of the Incarnate World and Trinity University), the Hayden is a throwback to the classic old school neighborhood diners and Jewish delicatessens. From matzo ball soup to hearty meatloaf, smashed burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, house-smoked pastrami and fish, & really "big salads" - each with stories and a deep history behind them. We open early for breakfast and stay open all day and night for brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktails (did we mention a full bar?). Whether looking for a nice-casual date night spot, place for the whole family to all get together (groups as large as 25-30), or just a table for one, we got you. This is comfort food that crosses cultures, cooked with care, and always made to make you feel at home- no matter where you're from. Come see why we are called "world famous" ;)
