This is a great pre-theatre dining experience. 1) The history of this restaurant is felt the moment you walk in - it’s a Broadway institution. 2) The service is great - staff is happy, friendly & professional. They know how to get you in and out for your show. 3) Food is delicious! I would say that the Joe Allen restaurant is more than a good meal, it’s about the experience!

We had a wonderful meal at Becca last evening. When we sat down, we were immediately served water, bread with a delicious spread and olives. All meals come with a sumptuous Caesar salad. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, and my husband had the salmon. We also or the 3-pastas offered that evening. All the food was well-prepared and delicious. The service was spot on. The portions were huge so we were able to take some home to enjoy for another meal. We highly recommend this gem in the theatre district.

Discover Hell's Kitchen

There’s a lot in a name, and this westerly mid-Manhattan neighborhood has a no-frills food scene worthy of its infamous moniker. While the handle stems from the area’s notorious activity in the 19th century, it’s a different story today as it has become one of the city’s LGBT hot spots—with an abundance of watering holes to keep the party going. When it comes to the food scene, dining is low- key and comparably affordable to the rest of Manhattan. From burgers to tacos, cookies to pizza, there are humble gems to be found. An area once known for its grit continues to grow, with surprisingly tasty results.
