Very nice place. Large dining room that transforms from very bright to more romantic at night time. There is a huge overhead glass ceiling that lets sunlight in. At night it is much more intimate. Food was good I had the pork chop. Great sized portion, cooked well. My friend had the branzino also nicely done. The cheesecake dessert was the only disappointment.

Reserved here for a quick bite before a show at the Beacon Theater. Shared the homemade bread, hummus, eggplant carpaccio, and Moroccan fish (cooked in a clay dish with a thin bread dome over the top). Everything was SO good, wish we had more time to linger over another dish. Worth mentioning, the staff was terrific too. Interacted with the Maitre d', bartender, waiter and busman, and they were all welcoming, attentive, and helpful.

The food was delish and the drinks were excellent. Our server Maya was fantastic. Highly recommend the warm crab sushi roll and the Miso Honey glazed Baramundi. The carrot cake from Magnolia was ok, but had a bit of a refrigerated flavor and while not terrible it was not as good as expected. Overall highly recommend!

We loved Elea, the food was great and the service was friendly. We enjoyed the Moussaka and the mushroom risotto as the main dishes. We also had the spreads for starters. They give you way too much pita! The Tzatziki and the Melitzanosalata were excellent, the hummus you can skip.

Really lovely classic and upscale southern French restaurant in the UWS. This place has been here forever, and has a steady and loyal customer base going back decades. Food is delicious, some of the best brunch you'll find in the city, delicious and savory dinner options, and great ambiance at night. When it's warmer, they open their large windows and doors, really playing into that French authenticity. Also, as this is a southern French restaurant, there is heavy Italian influence, so the food is more flavorful and diverse than northern or traditional French restaurants.

Discover Upper West Side

Although it was home to Seinfeld and features other cultural cornerstones like the Lincoln Center, the “Upper Best Side” has long been passed over for other cooler neighborhood when it comes to the food scene. It’s no longer an afterthought, as some of the city’s most exciting new eaters have set up shop above 59th Street, creating more attention for the decades-old uptown institutions. Jewish fare like deli sandwiches and challah French toast are staples, but now you can also find the city’s best dan dan noodles. Grab a cheap Gotham hot dog, class it up with easy and reliable French, and save room for dessert at one of the countless cafes. Just remember to stay intellectually hungry—some of the city’s best museums are right nearby.
