- SStevenChicago / Illinois •13 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFirst experience was in Des Moines, Iowa and was fantastic. Second experience was here in Milwaukee and it was fantastic. I just wish staff would’ve closed the side door since it was 0° outside and people would utilize the front door where there was a vestibule preventing cold air from coming in every so oftenMore infoTupelo Honey - MilwaukeePrice: Moderate• Regional American (Contemporary Southern)• Milwaukee•4.6

- AAlanVIPChicago / Illinois •58 reviews5.0Dined on 14 Jan 2025Another top notch visit to Moe’s. Our server, Kate was perfect. We remembered her from a previous visit also. The special old fashioned was strong and just right to warm us up on a cold night. We started with lobster bisque. I really need this recipe! The cream base has a hint of sherry and is delicious. Warm bread and butter. A new chocolate butter, who knew! Excellent also. My husband had the 8oz filet Oscar style. I have the 4oz wagyu filet, perfect size for me. Both were cooked medium to perfection. We shared the truffle mashed potatoes, delicious. We brought our own wine and then shared the chocolate cake for dessert. One of the best meals out we’ve ever had.More infoMo's A Place for Steaks - MilwaukeePrice: Expensive• Steak• Milwaukee•4.9

Discover Milwaukee
If you’ve never dined in Milwaukee, you might need a translator. For instance, what’s booyah? Small plates are on the rise, but you can still find schnitzel that’s roughly the size of your head. Sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and shaved ham are considered garnishes. Fried Wisconsin cheese curds pair well with beer, and there’s plenty of both. In the 1840s, there was one tavern for every 40 residents. Beer is also put to good use with onions and Worcestershire sauce in a beloved bratwurst gravy. Visit on Friday, and you’re bound to find a family-style fish fry. Roman Catholic immigrants of the 1800s shunned meat on Fridays, and lake perch was cheap. Restauranteurs Louis and Ruth Hirschinger introduced all-you-can-eat fish dinners in the 1940s. Booyah, by the way, is an exotic name for chicken stew.
