Fantastic! The best in NYC!! Hand down the finest service, fine dressed waiters, amazing manager and the most creative design, art work, teddy bears, floral arrangements and the chef is impeccable! Bravo!!!! Will be back again and again and again!!! ♥️♥️
It was AMAZING! Great food and great ambiance. Loved it!!
Great service by Alberto!
Este restaurante es excepcional y la comida súper deliciosa 🥰
The service was outstanding . The food delicious as always. The evening vey enjoyable
Amazing food, great staff. Loved the red teddy bear vibe 😃
Poor food preparation, no taste at all. Tasteless veal, lobster, pretty much all items we ordered were very average. The place is totally overpriced and they aim everything at the “lux-chic ambiance” which ends up being borderline theatrical, forgetting the very basics of high end gastronomy. For this price range there is way better value in the neighborhood. Service was ok but nothing impressive. in general a total disappointment.
The Nero di Seppia is best I’ve ever had outside the Amalfi Coast.
This is the most expensive place I have ever eaten.
It is a very nice dinner - the food and ambiance are great, but the food and wine are ridiculously overpriced.
Elegant setting, great ambience, outstanding service, good food and very pleasant music.
We will difinitely return for another date night with my wife.
sometimes nello gets a bad rap. but the service, food and ambiance was great.
Ordered a simple truffle gnocchi & was charged $195! The same price as a the lobster & crab truffle pasta. Makes no sense. Ripped off.
Lovely experience all around.
Nello is always great. I’ve been a “regular” since 1998.
As far as the ambiance and setting is good if your looking to go out and celebrate a special occasion but as far as the prices...It’s ridiculous. This place feels so shady and they will get the most out of you. All the reviews are true and it’s funny how accurate it is cause I’m genuinely not a dramatic person and this is one of my first reviews. Overall this place isn’t worth the trouble and money and the only thing that really catches people’s attention is the Red Stuffed Bears around the restaurant to add on to the aesthetic.
I am normally Nello’s biggest fan. I love everything about the place. During this past year i managed to eat there from time to time. I was invited out for my birthday bu a friend whom I had been raving about Nello to all year.
Well, what a drag!
First of all, when I made the reservation online I noted that it was a SPECIAL OCCASION/BIRTHDAY. Not a mention of that at all during thr LOOOOONG evening.
I say long because it was 45 minutes between courses. The food was NOT my beloved Nello fare.
Mario was runnung the room that night and boy did he NOT provide service, friendliness or attention.
The hip hop looking couple across from us were getting the VIP treatment though. (I say hip hop because the male of the couple had the butt crack/underwear showing for six
Inches jean thing going and his date had the extreme butt augmentation booty going). Good for them, but my date and I in nice NY dining out upscale clothes didn’t cut any muster, trust me.
Getting rhe check took finally putting coats on and proceeding to the door and demanding it.
Total bummer bust from start to finish.
What do I do now that Nello is at the BOTTOM of my list?
Elegant and quiet place to have dinner. Service is great and decoration is marvelous.
Delightful luch at the outdoor tables. wonderful service and delicious food. All in all a perfect meal.
Amazing outdoor dining setup to go with their great food and excellent service.
Delicious food, beautiful decor 😍
Fantastic outdoor dining on the UES! The food, wine and service were all outstanding! Their outdoor dining is really well done, plus that had a fun live singer. I highly recommend!
Closed early without notice literally leaving us out oh the cold. Did not answer the phone before we headed over and barely looked up when we knocked and waved at management through the locked glass door. This was not a close one. We arrived early and they had already cleaned out their plywood hot for street side dining. Clearly they had not served any food for at least an hour and a half before our open table reservation. Selfish and callous. I’ll never go back but I will be interested to walk by watching them smiling and pretending they care about their customers when it is convenient for them to be open. Hopefully the owners will read this and check in on their managers behavior.
Living nearby, and walking past often, I always thought that Nello would be one of those UES restaurants that has OK food and drinks for a price that would suggest one of the best in the city. While the prices were high, they definitely matched the quality of the food. We started off with vegetable-focused apps, that were delightful, flavorful, and not too filling. I had the Blass Cod with Miso sauce (I know, not Italian) and it was perfect. The proper preparation and the miso were delicate and accented the fish perfectly. My wife the chicken with prosciutto and asparagus (I think, I'm a bad husband and forget these details every now and then), and she devoured it. We then split the cheesecake and tiramisu for desert - both worth coming back for alone, and the berry topping on the cheesecake just made the dish.
While we were outside, the heat lamps made it feel as if we were inside. The singer that was there to serenade the tables was the perfect exclamation point to the evening.
I'm not giving the experience justice with my writing, and everyone working there was professional and made the experience that much more enjoyable.
We ate outside but they made it special.
Food was amazing! The wait staff were very attentive and informative on the menu
Very nice set up outside, everyone was wearing a mask and hand sanitizers were in each table. Their red bears are fun, some even wearing masks :-). Food was good, service was good, even my teenager son was happy, which is not easy to do :-)
Great food and awesome service!
Birthday drinks and appetizers. Great location, great staff
Food is amazing, we have been going to Nello for about 15 years and we are always happy with delicious food and great service
It’s just does NOT get any better!!!! Absolutely a top favorite! It’s so fresh and delicious! If you are looking for an amazing special occasion, order the truffle pasta! 😋
Must have changed ownership or something. I dine out 3-4 times a week. By far the biggest WASTE OF MONEY. So many other “high end” places to patron. Trust me save your money. Staff is nice though. But I pay to eat.
One of the BEST nights I have had in a very long time. Delicious food and amazing service. I will be back very soon.
Very nice lunch here on Saturday, the food and service were both excellent. The prices are as you would expect for an Upper East Side restaurant, but wouldn't suggest this the right place if you are on a budget! Will definitely return
The staff is delightful. Food delicious. Expensive but very fun
There prices are so over priced I would never go there again
Excellent service / food n
Amazing food, atmosphere, stuff and service!!! I love it and I’ll back again n again:)
