Waiter gave us a bit of a hard time about
I couldn't fault the service, the waiter was very friendly and I had good conversations with them.
The food was substantial (as in larger portions than I expected!), but was just okay in quality. It was my first time having a burger that was only offered medium well, and I couldn't finish it.
We came as a spontaneous night out to celebrate our friend’s new job and we had a lovely evening. The food was beautiful and we also had great service from John who was very attentive. We cannot wait to visit again.
Amazing service and amazing food every time I go. John is an excellent waiter with top tier service!
Tucked away close to Liverpool Street Station, this lovely restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. The terrace area was perfect. A gem of a place.
Not a great wine list but other than that, a pleasant evening
Front of house could have been a bit more organised with getting us our table quicker. Food was good. Service good.
One of the servers, John, was lovely and very attentive. There is a very intimate outdoor atmosphere, with heating so that me and my Mum didn’t feel cold. The food tasted lovely and would definitely go back again.
Food was overall very good it overpriced for portion size. The pork cracklings was also a joke. Wine list solid if overly french centred and on the pricey side.
The service was appalling. Rushed and poorly informed, took 3 attempts to order wine, didn’t know the price of the sharing steaks, forgot our sauces which took a further 15 mins to arrive and then hurried us on at the end of our meal (because we didn’t order desserts) to free up the table. Moved us to a bar table (right up against the bar) next to 20 incredibly loud city boys who the one decent member of staff apologised for.
I completely understand times are tough but you this treatment will just lose you customers.
Will never return.
Having been here before I wasn't disappointed, however I was dining with an 18 month old and it was raining, so to be placed outside wasn't ideal, and then we had to move tables as the rain was soaking the child's buggy as well clothes.
The staff where super helpful and moved us as soon as I requested.
Service as always is impeccable
We had a warm and welcome greeting, was seated and then offered a more comfortable table, which was nice.
Our waiter for the night was John and he was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. He recommended a tasty mocktail and helped us with the menu.
The toilets were not very clean but I made do.
The restaurant was cold and I had to put my coat on between meals.
Overall it was a lovely food experience.
I would definitely come back.

Always love the food and service at New Street Grill. I would highly recommend the tomahawk steak! 5 star
All round very good food, ambience, service... but I felt the sharing steaks were not good value for money when compared with the pricing of individual steaks. The Tomahawk had way too much fat for the price.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service provided was amazing.
Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again next time.
New street grill never disappoints! Great value for location and quality steaks. 5 stars.
Always have a great meal there!
Very quiet due to Covid which is understandable, food was good maybe larger portion sizes needed but not bad for the offer as 3 courses for £30
A shame to see the place so quiet but good to see it open again. Service was excellent and the food as always.
Such a gem in the heart of the city. Epic Sunday Roasts with possibly the most beautiful presentation I’ve ever seen. Kids menu was giant but great value. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!
Everything was poor from start to finish, food took over an hour
Very nice ambience nice curve Chesterfield sofa like booth. We never felt that we were being rushed; the food tasted very good but my friends medium rare was far too rare but a nice place right across for Liverpool street station. We had a set menu which is good value for the quality of food. I will be back.
We went for a 3 course set lunch menu. Excellent value for money. Service is implacable. Will definitely go back for their steak
Food was good but we were not offered the set menu as advertised so the price was doubled!
We decided to have a mid-week pre-Valentines romantic steak dinner, it was a pleasant evening, we were sadly somewhat disappointed overall.
The service is super friendly and efficient, the ambiance, the setting and the location really good; we were really only interested in a decent steak when we went as we are so often disillusioned when eating Steak in London.
We decided not to have starters, instead asked for bread and crackling with apple sauce. The bread was rather hard and nothing special, the crackling was the puffed up version so not what we expected, the apple sauce tasted tinned or from a bottle...(sorry!).
We asked for bottled water, which was not very cold, but thankfully topped up regularly, we also ordered a bottle of House Red that was very good. The ribeye steak was really tasty and perfectly cooked, we ordered way too many side dishes, the triple cooked chips (one portion is enough for two), mushrooms were fabulous and the broccoli perfectly cooked to our liking. We also ordered baked cauliflower as we cook this at home and love it as a side dish, sadly it was not to our taste, so they very kindly removed it from our bill.
All in all lovely staff and a nice evening, but for just short of £150 for two, we were somewhat disappointed - sorry!
We keep coming back; says it all!
The management there is gold. We had many events with the brunch and always very successful!
Had the evening standard menu - good selection.
Booked the New Street Grill to catch up with an old friend over lunch. The lunchtime deal was terrific value, the staff were attentive but not excessive, and the atmosphere was perfect for chatting (quiet enough that we didn’t have to shout!)
I love this restaurant. Every time I visit it’s always great food and brilliant value for a steakhouse in this location. A great selection of wines and lovely staff. I would highly recommend.
Food was alright, but service was not great
Great food. Service was excellent. Steaks were great... and lobster starter was excellent (especially for the price)
Gorgeous food, excellent staff and great atmosphere, couldn’t have asked for any more. Price was reasonable with the offer. Will visit again.
Great food, lovely little place. The best chateaubriand I've had as of yet! Definitely going back
Very relaxed atmosphere never rushed food superb wine even better
We were a little late to our reservation, however they still had kept the table for us. We did the 3 courses for £25. Absolutely amazing food, compliments to the chef. We shared a bottle of Chenin Blanc, we really enjoyed the lightness of the wine. I would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant, particularly with this deal.
Food was sooo good. Waiters were there but not intrusive ...good night. Wine list was good.
We came here for the weekend bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday and had the most wonderful experience. Fantastic menu choices and kind, charming service, not once were our glasses left empty. The food was incredible and perfect portion sizes. Will definitely return, now a firm favourite!
We had a lovely time tonight and will definitely be back soon
Visited for Saturday brunch so sat in the main area of the venue. VERY noisy that you can find yourself shouting at your guests at the table as between the other tables and music added to the mix it can become a little overwhelming.
The food is not bad best to go for a meat dish as anything else doesn’t measure up.
Be prepared for a noisy time.
Had an old friend from Europe and his colleague who where looking to try British beef (Aberdeen Angus)
Ambiance was great.
The wine cellar looked spectacular, however, in my opinion as a hotelier, the wine menu itself could be improved and presented better. (Prices ascending and better selection of Burgundy wines)
Starters were excellent, we had the Scottish scallops and smoked salmon, which we shared.
For the mains, we also shared the Tomahawk on the bone served with bone marrow. We asked for medium rare but it came slightly more on the rare side.
I would suggest a better choice of desserts like Eton Mess, Apple crumble, etc.
Overall, very good and I would highly recommend the New Street Grill for all the meat lovers out there.
