Good fun, good food in a relaxed atmosphere. We very much enjoyed the Sunday lunch which was served outside. The service was excellent.

We enjoyed a lovely Saturday brunch. I took my friend whose dined here before - she’s vegan and the waiter and chef were most accommodating, slightly adapting some of the food. My scotch eggs and roast chicken was delicious. My friend had bruschetta followed by the mushroom risotto with spinach. The Prosecco flowed well! We sat in the garden area and though cool the heaters kept us warm. A lovely brunch!

I wasn’t blown away. It’s a fairly standard experiences for something billed as very high end dining, there wasn’t the finesse of many other close by places and felt like a business meal not a special dinner

Admittedly I did spend £150 on two bottles of wine, but nearly £400 for people is a bit much, even for the City. The wine list is very impressive, but the food is ordinary. In essence, this is an expensive Beefeater restaurant. The service was good, but it is very noisy. Not sure I would rush back.

Great service. To be commended. A quiet location in a central location with good food at a ok price.

Starter and Main course served within 20 mins - more like an express lunch than a relaxing dinner and several times the price!

This is the 3rd time we've visited but the the first evening visit. Everything was outstanding, we went from the set menu which was excellent value for the quality of the dishes - the service was great too.

We were welcomed and seated with a smile. My crab was lovely, my son's smoked salmon was lush and our medium rare steaks were cooked to perfection. The triple cooked chips were definitely triple cooked and the mushrooms superb. Our glass of Rioja was excellent and well matched by the Sommelier. All in all an excellent lunch.

Arrived early to have a pre-dinner drink at the bar, only to find the bar was closed for a private event. Was happy to sit at table and have a drink and was given the bar menu, but when I ordered the cocktail special offer from the menu, the bar staff told the waiter that it was only for people in the bar, not the restaurant!! Food was good, service was generally good.

Impromptu date night with some delicious G&Ts, wine & steaks. Not cheap, but excellent service, food and a great setting - really enjoyed the New Street Grill.

New Street Grill is a great pick for business lunch meals. The service was good and the starter and main portions were just about right. Warning though the puddings were huge! In terms of the bathrooms, the ladies was a little hard to find but otherwise am glad we went and would go again.

attended with my wife for a late Sunday lunch. Premises was fairly busy and service good. The food was very tasty and we both had the roast beef Sunday lunch. However the red wine jus was truly exceptional. Recommended.

The food was good but the service was rather rushed. I appreciate it wasn't totally the restaurant's fault as I was informed at booking that a 2 hour policy applies and also my friend was uncharacteristically, very late on this occasion.

It made for a rather stressful experience having to order on behalf of my friend before she arrived. I'm sure it will be better in future. Just don't go with friends who aren't good timekeepers!

Great restaurant with amazing food and service. Unfortunately we had a big party next to us that were very drunk and loud and to be quite honest quite crude. They did spoil our experience at the new grill.
We did complain and were offered a drink at the bar but by that point we were really fed up and just wanted to leave.

Toughest steak I ever had; waiter prefer to argue it was my fault, no immediate attempt to resolve - a shoulder shrug. Had to leave whole meal.

Anniversary meal, we didn't mention this when we booked, but the service was great, the ambience good. The adjoined bar had a live band, we asked the name and the floor manager couldn't remember off head. When the waiter cane with the menu he had been told to tell us the band name. A small touch, but it made a difference.

Lovely meal as always, booked on line and stated it was for a special birthday celebration, whilst we didn't select puddings, the birthday girl was presented with mini dessert with candle.

Service was excellent by the staff, just love the place

2nd time back & we were seated in the side room overlooking the front. A few large (very noisy) groups who had been clearly enjoying the bottomless prosecco. Made it very difficult to have any conversation at our table.

We had barely sat down when one the waiters- probably running the section started hurrying us a long to order, because the kitchen closed at 4. Our booking was 3:45.

The food was enjoyable, the bottomless prosecco didn't start until about 20-25 mins in, so a bit disappointing as they wanted to rush us to order.

Would go back again, but probably at a different time & only in the main seating area.

We went for a late night supper, on the evening standard offer ,and the food and service was excellent. There was no skimping on portion size just because it was an offer.
